Cardinal Hotel St Peter - Roma

The hotel is very new with very beautiful marble bathrooms. Its location is quiet but requires a taxi for all trips since it is not very near to restuarants or the Metro. The staff is busy, so patience is required when asking questions.

The hotel staff is a little short (usually only one at a time) most times of the day but they were helpful and friendly. The maid service was exceptional. The breakfast was average cappuccino from a machine is certainly not Italian. The room was clean, and very pleasantly ornamented. It was very quiet and comfortable - more than adequate. Two English channels on TV (BBC, CNN International and MTV which was realy the Italian music channel). The hotel is a little out of the way but public transportation is close and easy to figure out. Two minutes walk to the bus stop, 916 bus to the Metro station and from their anywhere in Rome.

The people at the front desk were very rude and not helpful at all. One instance, I had to make four trips to the front desk from my room because my key would not work.They told me I didn't know what I was doing. The maintence couldn't make it work either. The hotel was a long way from anything and cost me a lot in fares.It was difficult getting them to help me in anything I did.

great service, very helpful personnel, walking distance to Vatican city. to get to any point of Rome center by taxi cost about 8-10 euro. free parking in hotel helps to all travelers who has a car. confusing system with electricity-you have to use key card in order to turn your light on/off:)

With public transit, this is a little out of the way for many, but considering the value & the great condition of the hotel (its brand new), this is fantastic value for money. Walk 5 minutes to the bus, or just take a taxi - you've saved so much on your booking, it's still a huge value!

When I come back to Rome i will choose this hotel. Excellent staff. Clean Hotel. Great Breakfast. Overall an oustanding value.

This is the second time which we have chosen to stay in this hotel and again we enjoyed our saty there the staff are most helpfull and the rooms are to a high standard, the only thing that let it down this time that we were unable to go on the Roof to have views of the vatigan

Twice early morning that the power went off. you have to install emergency lightings in the rooms. I suggest to have variety of breakfast..eating bacon and eggs for 6 days..yaiiks! I hope the reception will help the guest with their luggages. The rate is very expensive and i don't think it's that close to Vatican. Bus stop is far from the hotel

The hotel is clean and it is a comfortable basic accomodation. It would get about two to two and a half star rating, if it is in the US. The hotel is relatively bit far from the main city attractions. There is no restaurant in the hotel except for basic breakfast bar in the basement. You must walk for about 10 minutes to get to the nearest restaurant. My flight landed at 7 AM and I reached the hotel at 9 AM. The hotel management does not take any active interest in getting your room ready if you showup in the morning. I ended up waiting at the lobby for 4 hours in my dirty clothes (after a 9 hour flight) before they gave me my room key. If you ask them about the status of your room, they all have one reply - "our check-in time is 2 PM" - no other efforts at all. Frankly I realised that many rooms become free as number of guests check-out between 6 and 9 am as they leave for airports very early. But the hotel's House Keeping shows up only around 9 AM and leisurely go about cleaning the rooms. The hotel management could make some changes to the House Keeping schedule so that at least some rooms are cleaned and kept ready before international guests start arriving in the morning. That way they dont stand around in a tiny lobby for hours waiting for their rooms to be ready.

This hotel was extremely comfortable and remarkably quiet positioned as it is, convenient for both Vatican City and the centre of Rome. Car parking is also good

The room was a great deal for the money. The a/c kept the room nice and cool during the hot days of August. The room was furnished nicely and the beds were comfortable. The room was a little small by American standards but more than ample by European standards. The hotel was close to bus lines so visiting the tourist sights was manageable. They had a nice pool area. The continental breakfast selections were super and the service was excellent. The staff was very nice and helpful and spoke good English. The elevator in the hotel made it easy for transport the luggage I would highly recommend this hotel.

4 star hotel, less modern than pictures suggest but clean nonetheless. Close to Vatican (walking distance) and close to local good bus service (Eu2 to centre of Rome (Piazza Venicia) or Free with Roma Pass). One can actually walk to the Piazza (30-40min relaxed stroll). Staff friendly. No Iron available for Clients to use. Breakfast distinctly average for Italy (which maybe below usual expectations for the wider travelled) , mainly yoghurts, tinned fruit, crossoints (v. sweet) and machine for hot drinks. Little in the choice of cooked breakfast (Bacon with salty scrambled egg) and none really for for none meat eaters. All in all I'd say Location 4, Quality of Service 4, cleanliness and quality of hotel 3-4, Food 2, Friendliness of staff 4.

The hotel was very nice the staff were very helpful at all times. The room it self was clean and tidy and in very good condition.

very nice and modern hotel however the breakfeast was not to good the coffee should have been made fresh and there is no restarant service for evening hours

Wonderful service, clean and comfortoable modern rooms with balcony and very nice bathroom. Easy to get into the city using local buses. Reception staff were extremely helpful. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Although not in the midst of the main tourist attractions, we found this hotel to be fine. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, which was included in our rate, was convenient. While we chose to walk to the Vatican and other sites from the hotel, most guests took the bus which was a short walk from the hotel. The hotel employees were cordial - but could have been more helpful when it came to assisting guests with directions or sight seeing.

Good location for local transport links into centre of Rome. Quality of room fixtures, fittings and standard of cleanliness exelant

Room small but typical for Europe. Problem was it was not close to anything. No primary shopping area, no primary tourist area. Nothing really to do except sleep, which is not all bad if that is what you want to do.

Hotel is about 15 min walk from metro and abut half hour walk from Vatican. Good price and service. We're planning to stay again on our way back through Rome. Main problem for business travel is very expensive internet. Aso extra (expensive) charge for any non-Italian (BBC or CNN) TV.

This is a lovely new hotel. Transporation is about two or three short blocks from the bus lines that will take to all over Rome and take you to the trains. There is a market and very nice resturants near by and a view of St.Peter's Dome. The Vatican is about ten minutes away by the 916 bus. The hotel staff is excellent and very helpful in many languages and giving directions to all locations in Rome. For Amerian travelers there is 110 volt (2-pin)converter in bathroom for charging small electronics and there is internet access. The hotel provides a lovely breakfast in the morning and a bar with snacks in the evening. They are in the process of completing additional things which will make the hotel superb, such as a roof top view and outdoor swimming pool and other surprises. This hotel allows you to live in Rome as the Romans do and get a true flavor of the true Roma experience.

Personale molto cortese, la stanza avuta a pianterreno non è ideali per chi ha bisogno di riposare. I muri della stganza avevano bisogno di urgente ritinteggiatura. Non mi hanno rilasciato fattura perchè, dicono , deve farlo Hotels.com

Ett bra och trevligt hotell. Lite väl hårda sängar, men annars rent och fint. Stängde dock av elen redan kl 10 dagen vi skulle checka ut. Receptionisten lite väl nonchalant (på gränsen till otrevlig) när vi klagade på detta. Men ett stort + är att det finns pool!

Hôtel confortable mais difficile à trouver en voiture: il faut même emprunter un sens interdit pour y accéder !.. Avons apprécié la piscine et les jacuzzi. Buffet du petit déjeuner insuffisamment réapprovisionné après 9h30.

It was my first trip to Rome and I would recommend this Hotel to all of my friends etc. It was so easy to get to Vatican or center of Rome by bus and Metro. Room was nice and clean and breakfeast was also good.

Flott og greit hotel dersom du ikke må bo i sentrum, men dårlig frokost

Vi havde 6 overnatning på dette hotel og det kan absolut anbefales! Specielt hvis man har mere end en forlænget weekend og kombinerer det at se en masse med også at slå benene op! For tagterassen er helt fantastisk! Til gengæld er der et stykke vej til centrum - så er man kun i Rom i få dage, er det nok bedre at vælge et hotel helt i centrum!

Hotellet virker utroligt manglefuldt. Efter én uge på hotellet, med kun 3 dage hvor Internettet virkede er det svært at anbefale til den forretningsrejsende. Er du ligeglad med Internet, så kan du måske i stedet ærgre dig over det man kalder en morgenmadsbuffet. Intet brugbart at drikke. Varm mælk, sødt opblandet juice og elendig kaffe.

L' hotel ci e' piaciuto davvero tanto.Bella struttura,belle camere,pulite.Inoltre il personale era molto disponibile ed educato.

Först och främst , det kallas för 4-stjärnig men den kan knappt räknas som 3-stjärnig. Fruktansvärd dålig frukost! Mycke tunna väggar, man kan höra grannens snarkning, alla som går och pratar i koridoren och när bilar startar motorn i garaget om man bokar en standard rum som ligger på första våningen! Rumet innehåller inte heller badkar. Vi bestämde att byta till ett superior rum efter alla besvär under första natten och nästan inga sömn, då skulle vi betala extra förstås och få ett rum i tredje våningen. Efter några timmar väntan fick vi rummet som saknades en gardin! Då hamnade vi igen i första våningen! Det värsta är att man betalar i försköt hela summan när man bokar hotellet och det blir nästan omöjligt att ta tillbaka pengarna om man är inte nöjd och ska checka ut tidigare än vad som sagt.

Underbart hotell! Rent och fint, trevlig personal och ett mysigt område. Tar ca 15 min in till termini med tunnelbana. Men det är lätt att hitta till tunnelbanan och lätt att förstå sig på kommunaltrafiken. Om man bara är där en kort weekend för att shoppa kanske ett mer centralt hotell passar bättre. Men annars rekomenderar vi det verkligen! Det var liet synd att vi var där i februari. När det blir lite varmare där öppnar de sina 3 jacuzzis på taket vilket såg helt galet trevligt ut. De har även en pool utanför som tyvärr också öppnar senare på året. Frukosten på hotellet var också bra, en ganska normal buffet. Lite väl mycket sötsaker för min smak, men det är det ju ofta. Som sagt. Vi är mycket nöjda med hotellet och skulle gärna bo där igen!

L'edificio sembra una condominio anni 70, ma appena si varca la soglia d'entrata si capisce che le 4 stelle ci sono tutte. Ottima camera matrimoniale, buona colazione ..personale piacevole

Zu Fuß ca. 30 min bis zum Vatikan als nächste Sehenswürdigkeit; öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sehr nützlich und preiswert, ein Frühstücksraum nur mit kellerartiger Beleuchtung, der andere mit Tageslicht beleuchtete Frühstücksraum wird meist gesperrt, weil Bedienung Laufwege sparen möchte; Frühstück ist mäßig, Rezeption ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, Zimmer sind sauber und komfortabel, Klimaanlage funktioniert selten, Pool sehr sauber, Filme kosten auf dem Zimmer 10 - 12 Euro.

La colazione non è all'altezza della categoria, almeno per un italiano. Per caffè o cappuccino c'è un distributore invece dell'espresso... Comunque il rapporto prezzo/prestazioni è buono.

L'Hotel, di recente costruzione, è ubicato nei pressi di Villa Doria Pamphili. Per raggiungere Città del Vaticano sono sufficienti pochi minuti di autobus, la cui fermata si trova ad un centinaio di metri dall'hotel. La più vicina fermata della metropolitana (Baldo degli Ubaldi, linea A) è a circa 10 minuti a piedi. La qualità del servizio è ottima ed il personale è molto disponibile nel fornire suggerimenti per la visita della città. La camera, dotata di ampio terrazzo, è risultata molto confortevole e pulita (unico appunto: non perfetta la pulizia del terrazzo). Di buona qualità la colazione, migliorabile per quanto riguarda le bevande calde (caffè, cappuccino, etc). Per concludere: un ottimo hotel per chi non ha problemi a fare qualche passo a piedi per raggiungere le fermate di autobus e metropolitana.

Istället hänvisades vi till ett rum där de samma dag hade limmat heltäckningsmattor. Vi vägrade pga av den starka lukten och efter många diskussioner fick vi någon att lyfta av garderobsdörrarna så att vi kunde stanna i rummet utan mattlimsångor. Hotellet hade en genomgripande renovering vilket även gjorde att det var otroligt mycket oljud av bankande och maskiner vilket i sin tur gjorde att det var svårt att vistas på hotellet. Frukostrummet som också tjänstgjorde som hotellbar var lika mysigt som en skolmatsal. Frukosten var usel med gammalt bröd men en god juice. Hotellet låg bakom en bensinmack vid en mycket trafikerad flerfilig väg. Hotellet hade ingen trädgård eller uteplats. Jag är mycket förvånad över att detta hotell är listat med 4 stjärnor. Jag har bott på 4-stjärnigt hotell i andra delar av Italien med mycket god erfarenhet.

Ich war schon über 50 Mal in Rom. Dieses Hotel gehört mit zu den besten Quartieren, die ich hatte. Nur 5 Minuten von den Haltestellen der Busse entfernt, die einen zum Vatikan oder ins Zentrum bringen, saubere Zimmer, excellentes Bad, deutsches TV, Minibar, Balkon, Frühstückbüffett, das den Namen verdient. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmte auch. Wenn dies in Zukunft so bleibt, brauche ich nicht mehr zu suchen. Ich habe jetzt eine gute Adresse in Rom gefunden.

hotel moderne,confortable et impeccable. Le personnel est aimable et disponible. Situé dans un environement calme et verdoyant il est cependant loin du centre . L' acces au centre ville reste facile par le bus.
