The rooms were roomy and comfortable, took some getting use to the elevator key requirement for access.

Fantastic value for the price, but...the ethernet, both wired and wireless has terrible throughput - about 33K - dial-up modem speed from a decade past. Seriously, that's just poor and a serious impediment to transferring files which I needed to do on this business trip. I had an AT&T wireless data card with me, but unfortunately their coverage is not adequate for a decent data connection at least on the side / level of the building I was in.

The room was the largest i've ever stayed in on the magnificent mile. The room had a microwave, refrigerator, and kitchen area. The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was excellent. I've stayed in more expensive hotels but this one was the best for the price. This hotel has great service, good food, and a large hotel room, which is truly hard to find in Chicago.

The hotel had amazing decor to make one feel right at home. The location was prime for sightseeing. Only draw back was the parking in the area was very expensive in my opinion.

We were so happy with the room and the pool!! The free hot breakfast was the selling point and SO worth it!!!

Well actually, since I am on a low carb diet, I could ask for a few more carb friendly menu items on the "free" breakfast. Scrambled eggs and sausage get old on morning four, but hey, that's really my problem, right? Besides that, this place was perfect. There are literally dozens of restaurants and bars within walking/stumbling distance (Harry Caray's is across the street, The House of Blues is a block away etc.). The staff are all very friendly. The place is immaculately maintained.

This was a great hotel in a great city at a reasonable price.

Excellent Hotel with great amenities and location convenient to several main attractions. Great breakfast. Our room was a studio and was perfect for our needs. Quiet and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thank you.

Hotel was well located in the middle of everything. Rooms very clean and roomy. Staff was very helpful. The only negative to my stay was the cost of valet parking, which was quite pricey, but we were in downtown Chicago. Overall I would stay there again.

This hotel is in the middle of the city with everything near by. We were able to walk to the Navy Pier. At the same time inside the hotel it is very quite. We would definately stay there again.

We could not have asked for ANYthing more than we received! The whole staff was not only pleasant and helpful but gracious in all of our interacttion witht hem. It was quite becoming to the hotel and Chicago peeps all the way around. The continental breakfast staff seemed more of a family to me than they were staff. They continued to have a wonderful, well supplied GOOD breakfast with an attitude and cheerfulness to match. One that was sincere and not 'fake' or put on. And the 'cookie lady' was delightful in helping us with some fresh baked cookies. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and helpful with our every question. What greater JOY that gave us on our vaca with our grandson. The hotel was very clean at all times. I don't always feel that, let alone see that, in many other hotels. We would delight ourselves again to stay in this hotel on our next trip to Chicago. BLESSINGS to each of you for going that extra ten miles for us!

This hotel was fantastic! This is by far the nicest hotel I have stayed in Chicago, and you can't beat the price! The location is convienient to many great restaraunts and stores (Trader Joe's and Whole Foods both within walking distance). The rooms are beautiful...clean and spacious The kitchen is an added bonus. Service was excellent. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to a friend.

This hotel was conveniently located to what we wanted to do (Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, Shedd Aquarium, Soldier Field). The continental breakfast was outstanding and the staff helpful.

The Residence Inn at Marriott in downtown Chicago was more than we could have imagined. We have never had such a pleasurable experience. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Instead of staying at a hotel in an unfamiliar place, all of the staff at the Residence Inn at Marriott make you feel like you are visiting a good friend. Ismeta, especially, every morning greeted us with such a big smile and welcomed us to "her kitchen." In that moment, we were so well taken care of that we decided we would always choose Residence Inns no matter the city.

The room was very clean with a great location. Bathroom had extra towels which was very nice since we didn't have to call for extras. A lot of great attractions with in walking distance! Had a great stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott! Would stay there again!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The room was large, comfy, and up to date. The location was ideal, esp for the great price. Valet parking was a bit much, but you can park your car around the corner for very very cheap

An amazing location, right behind the house of blues...walking distance to theaters. The rooms were brand new with granite countertops and a very comfortable mattress. Having stayed in many of the top hotels in the city this one did not disappoint though a lower "star" rating and price than the higher end hotels. Tip for parking: valet parking at the hotel was double what we found to park about a block or 2 away in a lot.

Our room was surprisingly suffcient with the kitchette, the location was awesome, the desk staff very helpful. THE BREAKFAST STAFF the main lady with the accent was truly a surprise, she help start our day on the right foot, i enjoyed her service you don't get service like hers very often. Thank you for the wonderful rates also.

This hotel has the friendliest staff I have encountered in 20 years of traveling. The breakfast staff was especially friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful, comfortable, room that essentially had a full kitchen. It felt more like a studio apartment. Location is excellent and the staff are truly wonderful! But Sunday mornings can be very busy. No room for me to eat breakfast so I went to a nearby coffee shop. I left one bag in their storage area after checking out since there would be a number of hours before I actually needed to leave. When I came back to retrieve my bag I had to wander through 4 separate storage rooms twice and dig through a pile of luggage before I could find my modest bag. I was worried that I would not find it and I would miss my transportation back home. Though you are given a tag with a number, their system is to just throw all the bags together.

The room was great. Clean, comfortable, with a kitchenette (which included dishes, silverware, a good-sized fridge, a microwave, and a stove) and a view. The hotel is quite new, so it is in excellent shape. The valet parking was expensive and took a while. I thought the price they told me for parking was for the time I was visiting, but it was per night. The price was slightly higher than the average Chicago parking fee, but you got in-and-out privileges, and it's right at the front door. Parking in Chicago is scarce and expensive.

the hotel was excellent, good location and the price was exceptional.i received an upgrade to the regency club for a small fee on line, at the hotel the price doubled. i took my kids to several other hotels but wished i had just stayed there but there was no pool or kids play area.but as an adult i would definately stay again.

What a wonderful surprise it was to arrive and be greeted by such a kind and helpful staff! From the point of using the valet parking which was very reasonable and very convenient, to checking in quickly, to finding a spotless and updated room, we were thrilled. Its location was perfect for walking to many restaurants and the Cadillac Theater. It was truly family friendly for our two young children. They were very professional and personal at the same time.

For the location, the amenities, and a small kitchen - I couldn't argue much about the price. Breakfast was pretty good too. I'd stay here again.

Only one complaint about this hotel is the comfort of the bed. It seemed the mattress was really old and just not comfortable. Other than that, the service was excellent and overall condition of the room and hotel was very good. I would stay there again if they change out the beds.

I paid a great rate for a long term stay in this hotel. The staff are some of the nicest most helpful I have met. The amenities are great- breakfast, happy hour, laundry, etc. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Chicago!

Great place to stay on our first visit to the windy city! Location-Fabulous!! Close to Harry Carry's & we loved the great dueling pianos of "Howl at the Moon"!! Very easy to walk to from the "El" which we took from O'Hare. Highly recommend this hotel!

Our hotel experience greatly exceeded our expectations and the 3 stars that the hotel was given. The room was clean, the staff, was friendly, and the location was great. A few negatives- the elevators weren't working all of the time and we think my car may have been dented while it was parked over night.

Especially the breakfast buffet wait staff was incredibly welcoming and capable. Great for families -- the buffet had something for everyone. Lots of friendly fun and nourishment to start the day. Just fantastic!!

Being from Chicago, I thought this hotel had a great location, price and amenities when I booked our stay. We came downtown Chicago for my daughter's weekend dance competition. All the families agreed that the Marriott was a wonderful choice. It should be noted that there were not only families, but couples and singles of all ages staying there as well. The pool makes it a great downtown hotel for the kids, but the overall feel of the hotel makes it very relaxing for couples or singles. The breakfast buffet was delicious with wonderful staff. The front door and bellman were very friendly and helpful. And what makes it even better is that there are plenty of restaurant choices and sightseeing events in walking distance.

great value for money, for the price paid was initially sceptical as to quality and was very pleasantly surprised by clean comfortable rooms with great amenities and clean surroundings, fantastic location for everything downtown walking distance to almost everything, blocks from red line and Mag Mile and with the added bonus of a tasty indian restaurant just round the corner

The rooms were extremely nice, they were comfortable and felt "homey" I would definetly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was very fairly priced for its location and service. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again and highly recommend it!

Some entered our room twice while we were there, turning on the lights at times when housekeeping was not supposed to be there and leaving it propped open one evening. We talked to the manager and filed a report.

We had an amazing time from the moment we walked in the door. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the hotel was nice and clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable and they delivered a free newspaper in the morning. We enjoyed the managers reception which had a light dinner of chips and sandwiches and free beer and wine. The breakfast included everything from waffles to donuts, and fresh fruit! Lots to choose from! We had a great view from the 25th floor and slept great in the comfy beds. On the day we left we wanted to walk around the city so they held our bags for us after we checked out. Everyone was very friendly. The location was great, walking distance to many great places and Harry Careys is a fun restaurant right across the street! I would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants luxury at a great price! I can't wait to go back!

The staff and management seemed to be everywhere. I noted a member of management helping out the breakfast staff, then checking in on the bell men. Seemed to be a well run hotel, and the lay out of the common areas and breakfast area was great. The rate was a great value for a Chicago Hotel, in the city.
