Friendly and helpful staff, lovely well arranged room for 2 adults and one 8 year-old. Great location for London Eye, South Bank and West End.

Excellently located for the London Eye / Waterloo Stn, with remarkable soundproofing given its central location. We were given a free upgrade upon arrival, and our studio was excellent. Some minor niggles - one being that the bath plug did not fit properly so the bath constantly drained, the other that the shower leaked meaning the room smelled vaguely of damp. Nice bar / cafe area and friendly staff, although their local knowledge was not extensive. I would happily return.

We were in London for a weekend break and found the Park Plaza County Hall to be perfect for what we wanted. The location is spot on for the South Bank and a few minutes walk from Waterloo station for good links into the West end etc. The hotel itself is large (14 floors). On arrival we had a complimentary upgrade to an executive suite. There was no particular reason I could think of for this so was very pleased when they informed us we had been upgraded! The room was very spacious and modern with a nice bathroom. The view was spoilt slightly by the building works over the road but this could not be helped. We could see Big Ben from our window which was nice. We did not have breakfast in the hotel as this was an extra £12.50 per person per day. I thought that this was slightly excessive so we got breakfast elsewhere. I used the gym facilities both days we were there and it was excellent. Well equipped and clean. Overall, I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a weekend in central London.

Absolutely 1st class service, very keen to impress. Did not try the breakfasts as pricey (try Slug & Lettuce around corner for breakfasts less than 1/2 the price). Only complaint would be the lifts - we were only on the 5th floor but every breakfast time it was impossible to get up or down from the 5th floor, so can only imagine the frustration if you were on the 13th or 14th floors having to lug your luggage down the stairs! Location was superb, 10 mins walk from Waterloo, 2 mins from London Eye.

the room was well prepared, beautifully aired and clean. I may have been lucky , but the room allocation was perfect too, no peripheral noises during the night. Will definitely use this hotel again.

I stayed in an executive suite. All the amenities, plenty of space, great view of Big Ben. Easy cab ride anywhere. Very friendly staff.

The hotel is very well located for lots of London's attractions and only a few minutes work from Waterloo Tube and Railway Station. We (me, my wife and teenage son) stayed in a studion that contained a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room where the sofa made up into a double bed. This was ideal for the three of us and all of the facilities where to the highest standard. When we go back to London again we will definitely stay at this hotel or its sister hotel that is currently under construction opposite.

An amazing hotel. When we arrived, we were immediately upgraded to the next level of room type and the room was exceptional! The bathroom, bedroom, living room... everything, inc. the Nespresso machine! (A great touch). The staff were very very helpful, especially when I had to cancel train tickets and book other ones. Location is brilliant and is by far the best hotel I've stayed in, closely followed by the same chain's hotel by Lambeth Bridge. Definately recommended!

We chose this hotel because of it's close proximity to Waterloo, only a few minutes walk. The room was great for our family of four as the children had the sofa bed in the sitting room, which was sort of partitioned off by a kitchenette to the bedroom. It felt like we were in seperate rooms, which a welome change to the usual family room. The room was clean and well equipped with enough towels for all us, another welcome change.

staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an ideal location and catered for our needs very well. We were even able to get our bus tour tickets straight from the hotel desk and staff explained where to go. would definately go there again!

This is a well situated, high quality hotel a friendly and professionally service-minded staff. If you are lucky (as we were) to get a room above lower floors, you will have nice views over the city.

I was very impressed as i have a four year old Autistic child. I wanted to give him siomething to eat before we went out, i looked at the menu and there was nothinh on there that my son would have liked, when i rang room service and they sorted out a small plate of mash carrot, peas and broccolli at a very affordable price of £4.50 and was at our room within 20 minutes. The upgrade to the executive room was well worth it as the view from our room spectacular and the air-conditioning was brilliant as it was over its 30s that day. The breakfast kept us going until tea time as they were very filling. I would defiently consider going back again.

Great hotel, conveniently located. Upgraded to suite at a reasonable price...recommended if only to receive lounge access and breakfast.

An excellent hotel, very close to many south bank attractions, within walking distance to Trafalgar Square and the west end. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are superb, although we did upgrade to an executive room with views towards the London Eye and the river. One slight problem is finding the car park but once you realise its next door, its ideal.

My wife and I stayed here at New Year and were well impressed with the hotel and its location. It is a good all round hotel and we would recommend it.

Had a fantastic 3 night stay in the hotel. Service and in particular the breakfast was excellent. Executive Lounge was a lovely relaxing place to chill out in the evenings. However, on 5 separate occassions, we tried booking treatments in the Health Spa. The beautician was never there. It appears she works on call and when we finally got through on her phone, she was not able to make it in for a time that suited us. Aside from this though we had a fabulous stay.

The staff was very helpful. We had a great room. The hotel was beutiful. The only bad thing was slow elevators. Everything else was great!

This hotel has a great location. You can walk to most of the big tourist spots. Right next to Waterloo Station for trains and subway. We took the subway from Heathrow to the hotel for 4 pounds each. Hotel a 5 min walk from the station. My big complaint was our sheets were dirty - filthy actually. There was also no top sheet. Yours and everyone elses sweaty body rubs against the comforter. When we complained about the sheets, they sent up a porter with 2 sheets in his hand. No apologies, didn't make the bed. No wash cloths available. Air conditioning poor, but this was a complaint throughout Europe.

Hotel location is very good although reception area of the hotel is not too impressive. Think they are limited by space. Staff are all polite and helpful - it was no trouble to show us the room available at an optional upgrade which I would strongly recommend. Room a little bigger but the other add ons make it worth while - breakfast and also complimentary drinks and nibbles in the executive lounge (small, but a nice terrace if you are lucky enough to have sun). Beds and bedding comfortable and breakfast good. Would happily stay again.

this may seem like a sophisticated hotel but just be aware that although people may look respectable it doesn't meant they are. After arriving and settling in the bar to do some work, I had my handbag stolen literally from under my nose. The hotel were quick to react once I realised it had gone although the police never actually arrived on the scene. Just make sure you're very aware of people around you at all times.

Close to many attractions, right across the Thames from the Big Ben. The studio we were staying in was surprisingly roomy and quiet. The only problem we encountered was inadequate amount of soap, towels, coffee etc. Housekeeping delivered quickly and cheerfully when called.

My wife and myself stayed at the Park Plaza with our two daughters for an Easter holiday break. We had a fabulous time and would recommend this hotel to anyone! the reception staff were courteous and friendly, and we were offered a room upgrade on arrival for a very reasonable cost. The room was comfortable and clean, with excellent coffee maker and TV channel and film choice. Location was excellent, right beside underground and short walk to Big Ben etc. In all, FANTASTIC!!!

Great location, good quality hotel, I would recommend this hotel for a stay in London.

Basically it was great, the only slight issue was the room was quite hot, aircon didnt cool it down and no windows open 'cause they were a wall. But wow it was amazing best hotel ive been in.

To my delight the room was effectively divided in two by the bathroom and kitchenette. This meant that we could separate the snorer (my mother) from the the non-snorers (myself and my sister). This resulted in us having a wonderful stay and a sound nights sleep.

The location is brilliant, the rooms are ideal - we converted the sitting room to a bedroom for our son and the kitchenette was really handy. There's a TV in both the bedroom part and the sitting room. The reception staff were helpful and polite. HOWEVER, we dined in the Hotel on Valentine's night and it was a disaster. We were given a choice of 2 set menus at the time we booked so we had narrowed down our main course choice to just 2 items before going to the dining room - it was 50 minutes later before our order was taken and 75 minutes before we got food! The ambience in the dining room was lovely and it was evident that most diners were there for a romantic dinner together. It was distressing to watch everyone's good mood deteriorate as the night progressed - eventually at least 6 couples got up and left - without eating - others left immediately after main course - and a few after the starter! We were told the food had been pre-cooked (!!) so they weren't even cooking the food during the long delay. It was evident that the dining room staff were highly disorganised and that the kitchen staff were nasty and unhelpful to the dining room staff. A complete shambles. The place is crying out for an effective manager. It's also worth noting that Internet Access was available from the room for £5 a day - but it, along with access to paid films, went out of action on the Saturday and still had not been restored by Sunday night.

I was looking for a hotel close to Waterloo Station and stumbled across the Park Plaza. Although being a bit hesitant at first due to the price, I went ahead and was not disappointed. The initial impression when seeing the reception was that of a clean, modern designed hotel. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was fantastic. The room was more than ample with a large lounge complete with sofa, armchair, small kitchen area and tv. The bedroom had a large waredrobe and another tv. The modern bathroom had a large walk in shower and bath. Nice little touches like a glass sliding door for the bathroom, umbrellas, slippers etc... all impressed and made our stay very comfortable. Will be returning and have already recommended this hotel to friends.

stayed here for a weekend over valentines weekend with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it. The staff are so helpful and customer focused. The studio room we had was absolutly perfect, the only think i would change would be the view we had, but that can't be helped. Would recomend this to anyone and everyone. Can't wait to go back

I thought the hotel itself was good, the rooms were really nice and very clean, the only negative comment I have is I did think the guest areas i.e. restaurant/breakfast/bar area is far to small for how many guests the hotel accomodates and not enough staff in these areas, this caused not very good service. In saying all this I would stay at this hotel again it is very central for all site seeing.

We stayed in the hotel for a weekend trip to the theatre on regent street. Waterloo Underground is around 5 mins walk away, and Picadilly,Oxford Circus is a 5,10 min tube ride. The hotel next door to the London Eye, and 10 mins walk from Big Ben. For parking use upper marsh street, well priced parkin. Definatley reccomend the Hotel and would stay again.

Excellent Hotel, and so close to the Eye, Parliment. Plenty of bars within walking distance and also a starbucks 100yds away for that early morning coffee while walking to the tube. Would defo recomend.

When we checked in staff were very polite and helpful. The room was brilliant, very clean and comfortable. Great view of London, close to the Eye, Aquarium and other attractions. The only bad thing was that I hadn't realised the gym, steam room and sauna were free so i didn't go prepared! Went down to look at these facilities though and these too looked very clean. Already planning our next visit to this fantastic hotel.

very bright modern hotel with great travel links for city centre

The hotel was nice and location perfect for visiting london but I was not impressed by the rooms cleanliness, it was not dirty but not spotless which i expect. The service was very good though so recommended

the checking in time was very long and they have to have the worlds slowest lifts we had to walk several flights down to the reception everyday but the concierge were very good

My wife and I stayed at this hotel over new year 2008 / 2009. It was perfectly located practically next to Westminster Bridge, within very easy walking distance of The London eye, Big Ben and Westminster Tube Station as well as Leicester Sq etc. Staff were very helpful and polite. Would certainly stay here again.

Our room was very comfortable with a very modern feel. Extremely comfortable beds and great quality seen throughout. Loved the hotel top to bottom, but would have cared for a bit better service. Consierege was rarely seen at the post which was frustrating especially given one of the front staff being overly snooty and "above" helping with what the consierege could have done. This was really one individual so not to say this applies to the staff as several were very helpful.

Over 2 nights we changed rooms 4 times, between been allocated someone else's room, terrible smell from drains and not getting the twin beds requested. Also many of the rooms are internal rooms with no natural light, this is not mentioned on the hotels website, the rooms on the lower floors over look the restaurant which can be noisy. The big plus with this hotel is the location. The final room (after 5 moves) was very nice, but this is not the case with a number of the rooms.

Buffet breakfast is amazing! Room was fabulous and the sfatt were really helpful.

the hotel is in a great location, near all the entertainment amenities of the South Bank. Our room was divided in two. We are a couple with a 15 year-old. This meant that on one side we had our bed. The bathroom block was in the middle with the sitting room area with the sofa bed for the teenager on the other side. There was no door dividing the space, but sufficient distance to ensure privacy. It was very comfortable and warm. The staff were polite and professional. However, we were woken by housekeeping and did not have a do not disturb door sign to prevent a repeat on the Sunday morning.

This was the first time that my Fiancé and I had stayed in this hotel but we would definitely go back there when staying in London again. Our river view room turned out to be amazing, being on the 14th floor and benefitting from a huge balcony that overlooked the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament. The cleanliness of the room was excellent and we had every amenity we could have wanted. The location is excellent with Waterloo station and tube just a few minutes walk away. It's a stones throw from the London Eye and many other attractions so works well for anyone exploring the city. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Staying at this hotel was absolutely amazing. The location is excellent, 5-minute walk from Waterloo station, near the London Eye and the waterfront. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were offered an upgrade to a penthouse suite, we cautiously decide to take the offer. This turned out to be a very good decision. The second I opened the door to the room I was overcome with excitement. The suite was HUGE, at least twice the size of my apartment. It featured 2 bathrooms, a large bedroom, a living room and a separate kitchen and dining room. The real treat however was the enormous rooftop terrace that wrapped around the entire corner suite, the view of London was breathtaking with excellent vantage points of the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, London Eye, and the city as a whole. If I could afford to live in that suite I would. Now to be fare, I’m sure the room we originally booked was MUCH smaller (most London hotel rooms are tiny by US standards) and that the normal price for this suite is probably way more than we paid. Still I could see some of the other rooms featured small balconies which probably had nice views as well. The hotel was also trendy, very clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely consider staying there again. If I had one complain it was that the mattress was hard, though this seems to be very common in Europe so I won’t hold it against them too much.

We arrived at this hotel, which is adjacent to Waterloo Station and many other tube stops( Westminster bridge). It makes getting around very easy. As well, you are literally steps away from the Thames, Big Ben, Parliment, The Eye and central to most everything else in London. The staff was friendly, most helpful and honestly as high class as they come. Yes. There is construction directly across the street, which we never heard. Yes. You are right next to Waterloo, which we never heard. The goods of this hotel outweigh the bad. If you are in London on vacation, you spend such minimal time in your hotel to begin with. But all things aside, it is a beautiful hotel with little distraction and great service. Things I hope improve? The restaurant, Spectrum, serves mediocre food at best for very high prices. The wait staff was horrible an inarticulate. The lifts are slow, but such is the nature of going to a hotel with only two lifts. And the temperature of the rooms is abnormally high, however, when asked to adjust the front desk acted quickly. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again and would recommend to anyone.

A nice hotel located in a nice neighborhood. Right next to Waterloo Station, Westminster Bridge and Jubilee park and the London Eye. The staff was very helpful and the hotel was nice. They only had one place to eat in the hotel, the food wasn't all that good and was very expensive, and the service wasn't that great. The hotel was okay, but think I would stay somewhere else the next time I go to London.
