Hanza Hotel - Ryga

My boyfriend and I were here for three days in August. We were very pleased with this hotel and would stay here again. Out the window, there is a lovely view of the church and the room had a nice, homey feel to it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm a vegan, so eating anywhere in the Baltics was pretty bleak; that said, I found enough at the breakfast buffet to tide me over. I could never get wireless from my room, but the connection in the pub was fine, and it was a comfortable place to sit and have a beer while checking e-mails. Only two relatively minor concerns: 1) the walk over to the bus station and Old Town was terrific during the day - it's a short walk, and you can pass right through the Central Market, which is a treat, but late at night, it felt just a little dark and isolated; and 2)our room was directly above the outdoor cafe, which was no problem except for when they closed up each night -- the sound of chairs and tables being moved around seemed to go on and on.

Hanza Hotel was a fantastic place to stay in Riga. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the breakfast provided was great. Only 10min walk to old town so very convenient. And the staff at Hanza were very helpful with all our questions.

The hotel gives greta value by its price.

We were very impressed by the Hanza Hotel. The room itself was very clean and modern, underfloor heating which was nice and a great bathroom. Very spacious too. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel has a restaurant / bar which serves terrific food and a really good breakfast. The hotel is about an 8 minute walk from the old town and is close to the town market. Overall a very positive stay - highly recommended.

when you get the number 22 bus get off at the last stop walk 100 metres and turn right and the hotel is nevt to the embassey bus is .40 lat and the taxi from the hotel to the airport is only 8 lat

Very clean and tidy.Food is excellent, the best we had all trip and very cheap compared to the restaurants we ate at!!Beers about £2-£2.50 a pint. The only down side is the location. It's ok in the day but I would recommend taxi's after dark. (about £5 to the main square)

Stayed at the Hanza for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The reception staff were very helpful. Our room, was spacious, comfortable and with a lovely bathroom. Riga was a wonderful place to visit, lots to see and do. Beautiful parks and buildings. Although the hotel is not in the old town itself it is only a short 10-15 minute walk taking you through the Central Market which is very interesting and busy with shoppers. I would stay at the Hanza again if we should have the opportunity to return to Riga.

hotel hanza is very good value,rooms of good size,shower brilliant,very well serviced and clean.Breakfast is excellent and the bar is very comfortable with great selection of drinks at reasonable prices.The location is around 10 minutes walk,through the market area,to the old town.Returning to the hotel late at night we always felt safe and never saw any problems anywhere in Riga.

Newly renovated and clean hotel. Friendly & helpful staff. Good location for the price, about 5 mins walk from Riga Old Town. Highly recommended.

I cant find fault with this hotel, would be nitpicking. Modern, fairly clean, nice room, decent space, fantastic shower. Great location, peaceful for a good night's, or days sleep, yet a pleasant 10 min stroll to the old town, dont worry about the under pass, never felt unsafe during entire trip. Excellent breakfast at 7am, cant comment on nearer 10, but the hotel tended not to let you down. The free internet is a help, just one terminal but good all the same. Lots of helpful guidance. Just there two days, but would go again and stay at this hotel. Lovely city, nice people.

Excellent setting well refurbished hotel. Clean comfortable and well located. Pity hotel decided to fully book restaurant to a tour group so that we were unable to eat when we came in, in the evening.

The staff were always attentive and friendly whilst being relaxed and not at all imposing. The hotel is bright and clean though the rooms are not large. Location is good unless you only have a very short time as it is quiet and 10 minutes walk from the old town - very near the central market.

Vi ble positivt overrasket over dette hotellet! Til en så billig penge, er dette definitivt et hotell vi anbefaler videre til venner, familie og kollegaer. Rommene så veldig nye ut, romslig og fint interiør. Restauranten er veldig koselig, og personalet er imøtekommende og hyggelige. Frokosten er enkel, men god! Det tar ca 10 min å gå til sentralstasjonen, og ca 15 min til gamlebyen. Busstilbudet fram og tilbake til flyplassen er veldig bra, en kan enten ta den offentlige bussen (koster 0.60LHL, ca 8kr), eller shuttles (3-5LHL, ca 40-50kr) som plukker deg opp på hotellet.

Bra hotel till rimligt pris, liten promead till centrum. Mycke prisvärt hotel. Personalen mycke trevliga och servicevänliga.

Hotellet ligger i et meget roligt område og meget centralt. det var en meget høflig betjening. morgenmaden var fin efter Lettiske forhold.

Ett fint hotell nära staden men ändå lite avsides. Vi bodde längst upp och hade en underbar utsikt. Hotellrummet var fräsch och rent. Service för rummet fungerade bra. Vi kunde även låsa in våra väskor i väntan på hemfärden. Frukosten var god och utbudet översiktligt. Om man vill äta middag i den tillhörande puben ska man ha tid. Vi väntade på förrätten i 1 ½ timme, även om det endast var vitlöksbröd. Maten smakade dock riktigt god.

J'ai apprécié cet hôtel et sa situation même si au début j'ai eu du mal à le trouver. Mais ensuite depuis le marché central, on le traverse tout droit, face à l'église et on y arrive très vite. Ce qui est pratique c'est que depuis l'aéroport, on prend le bus 22 et on arrive directement à proximité de l'hôtel. Pareil pour le retour, on prend le bus à proximité de Stockman. Je connais beaucoup RIGA et quand j'y retournerai, je reviendrai dans cet hôtel au très bon rapport qualité prix.

Ett prisvärt alternativ för en weekend-resa. Fräscht och resturangen var riktigt vacker och också populär! Den enda nackdelen var endast lokationen, 500 meter utanför gamla stan. En sträcka som tyvärr inte kändes helt säker att gå på natten.

Het goed verzorgde hotel, de comfortabele kamers en het vriendelijke personeel, maken een verblijf helemaal top. Er zijn vele goede hotels meer in Riga maar deze prijs/kwaliteit verhouding tref je niet gauw aan!! Ga zo weer terug naar hotel Hanza.

Det känndes otryggt att gå till hotellet på kvällen genom öde marknadsområde och på mörka och lite kusllga gator.

Une chambre spacieuse et calme à quelques minutes du centre ville.

Zimmer klein und wenig gemütlich, beim Frühstück große Auswahl an Salat (wer ißt den zum Frühstück?), dagegen kaum Brot und am zweiten Tag auch kein Jogurt und Müsli. Auf Nachfrage wurde erklärt, das gebe es heute nicht.

Jag och min sambo trivdes bra i vårt rum på 6:e våningen som höll fin standard. I rummet fanns en dubbelsäng och en enkelsäng. Badrummet var stort och rent med fint handfat och ett badkarl som även gick att använda som dusch. Tyvärr fanns inget duschdrapperi men eftersom rummet var så stort så skvätte man inte ner hela i alla fall. Receptionen var stilren och ganska enkel, med trevlig personal som hjälpte till med allt man ville. Vi upplevde hotellet som relativt nybyggt eller nyrenoverat. I källaren fanns bar och där serverades även frukost som innehöll de saker man gärna vill ha på en hotellfrukost. Ägg, olika pålägg, yoghurt, juicer, frukt flingor, stekt korv, kaffe och the m.m. Utsikten från rummet var över staden och den gamla träkyrkan som låg strax brevid. Våra kompisar hade ett rum på 3:e våningen och det låg mot innergården vilket naturligtvis inte var samma sak. Promenaden från centrum till hotellet tog ca 15 min. På natten rekommenderas dock att vara flera eller ta en taxi då man annars går genom en del "skumma" kvarter.

bazı oteller internet sayfalarına aslında kendilerinde olmayan oda resimlerini koyarlar. fakat otele gittiğimde bende odanın resimlerini çektim ve sitesinden bi farkı yoktu. gerçekten gönül rahatlığı ile gidebileceğiniz konaklayabileceğiniz çok konforlu bir otel. özellikle sokakta güneşe karşı sokakta kahvaltı etmek süper bir duyduydu. odam 608 idi ve resepsiyonist suda problem olabilir diye uyarıda bulundu bu çok önemlidir önemsendiğinizi gösterir ama bir problem olmadı. otelden old town a gitmek için azıcık yürümeniz gerekecek ama oraya yürüken gerçek rigayı keşfedeceksiniz halk pazarının içinden geçmek zorunda kalacaksınız otelin hemen yanı zaten wooden church:) düşünmeden seçin derim.

everythning was perfect, quiet and a very good welcome from the hotel. Only the wifi need to improve a little bit !

The hotel is definitely very nice and newly renovated. Beds are perfect after a long day of walking around town. Breakfast was alright, nothing fancy. There are, however, two major drawbacks of this hotel. The location is a bit dodgy. We did not experience anything strange, but our local friends all said that this is the worst part of the city. Because of the season we were never on the street, when it was dark. But I think that walking around that neighbourhood on dark winter nights could be a bit creepy. The shower was horrible. The water just kept changing from extremely hot to extremely cold all the time! Impossible to adjust it.

Ausgesprochen gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis

Lugnt läge nära Centralmarknaden, köpcentren Stockmann och Origo och buss/tågstationen. Fint hotell i ett annars slitet område. Enkelt rum, fräscht badrum med duschkabin. Ingen utsikt att tala om även om vi bodde högst upp. Lite lyhört från korridoren. Trevlig personal i receptionen som gärna svarade på frågor om väder, bussar m.m. Skickade några mail från dator vid receptionen utan kostnad. God frukost med mycket frukt, dock lite få brödsorter. Åt middag i hotellets pub en kväll (där man även äter frukost), fick vänta länge på maten trots få gäster, ingen smakupplevelse precis heller. Fint att det fanns bagagerum att ha väskorna i tills vi skulle åka hem på kvällen.

Goede locatie: dicht bij (internationaal) busstation, de centrale markt(hallen) om de hoek en dan nog zo rustig! Ook mooi gebouw met professionele medewerkers, die de juiste info geven en heerlijk ontbijtbuffet. Schone kamer/linnengoed en de lekkerste douche EVER. Nieets dan lof of het zou een beetje krakende vloer moeten zijn?

This is a nice hotel with a very friendly staff, and very good value for money. I stayed both for business (using the hotel facilities) and pleasure and all worked fine. some rooms have issues with the wifi, but you can lend an ethernet cable. the most negative thing is that it is a little walk from the old town (10 minutes).

Het ontbijt was echt Lets. Geen roomboter of harde broodjes wel zure haring, zure augurken, zure champignons, zure erwten enz. Als er wat meer broodsoorten en roomboter was geweest was ontbijt perfect geweest.

Een net en goed hotel, kan niet anders zeggen. Op loopafstand van het station en de oude binnenstad.

Er veldig fornøyd med hotellet. Det var et stykke å gå til gamlebyen. Hotellet ligger i et stille og rolig strøk. Bra standard og service. Frokostbuffetet var også bra. Bor der gjerne igjen om vi drar tilbake til Riga.

Nyrenoverat och fräscht hotell med fina rum, snabbt bredband och väldigt trevliga receptionister (som är exceptionellt serviceminded). Nära till buss- och tågstation samt Stockmann-varuhuset. På vägen dit är området dock ganska sjabbigt.

Lors d'un séjour de vacances, nous avons passé 5 nuits dans cet hôtel choisi sur le net sur differents critères la localisation : au calme et en même temps très accessible à l'arrivée mais aussi pour les visites tout les sites du centre ville sont accessibles à pied, les 2 grandes stations de bus qui desservent la banlieue et permettent d'aller au musée en plein air et à Rundale sont à 5 minutes à pied), la promotion : (que du bonheur, un rapport qualité-prix inégalé), le petit déjeuner compris : (un vrai repas servi chaque matin dans un cadre magnifique, un service impeccable), le design : (hôtel entierement rénové, chambre et salle de bain très spacieuses), nous avons diné 2 soirs à l'Hôtel et même s'il ne s'agit pas d'un grand restaurant les plats proposés sur la carte sont de très bonne qualité à un prix raisonnable. Bref un hotel digne d'un 3 étoiles au moins, un personnel gentil, disponible mettant tout en oeuvre pour satisfaire le client, un des receptionniste parle français ce qui est bien agréable, des petites attentions comme les infos en français imprimées à notre intention chaque matin au petit déjeuner. Cet hôtel est notre hotel à Riga nous y retournerons les yeux fermés ,si la promo n'est plus d'actualité même au prix fort le rapport qualité prix reste excellent.

Jättefint hotell strax öster om den centrala marknaden. Nära till allt i gamla stan till superbra pris. Ok frukost för priset och fantastiskt hjälpsam personal som hjälpte till med tågtider och bussar. Ta lokalbussen från flyget för 7 kronor istället för taxi - stannar 400 meter från hotellet! Området är lite slitet men hotellet är helt nyrenoverat. Det ligger en ambassad på gatan och det så det finns alltid polis där. Kändes tryggt!

Hotellet ligger bra, har en väldigt mysig restaurang en trappa ner. Maten är utmärkt och servicen strålande. Trådlöst internet och snygga rum ger ett väldigt bra helhetsintryck.

Pent, nytt, moderne, god service, elendig teknisk. Det knaker og bråker i bygget, det er null lydisolasjon. I det første rommet luktet det fra avløpet, men god service ordnet bytte uten problemer. I begge rommene var det krevende å gjennomføre en dusj pga vannforsyningen.

Stort och bekvämt rum (dubbelrum). Trevlig och bra personal! På alla plan mycket nöjd med hotellet!

Det var ett riktigt mysigt och trevligt hotell! Vi trivdes jätte bra, fick mycket hjälp av dem i receptionen med att hitta till olika ställen, boka taxi, boka utflykt osv.

Jättebra service och nära till allt! Superfrächa rum!

Hotellet har en hög standard och ligger när marknaden i Riga. Kvarteret känns väl lite ruffigt men det gör ju allt när man kommer bort från absoluta centrum. Hel OK frukostbuffé. Rent och fräscht. Lite lyhört mellan rummen. Prisvärt!

Schönes stylisches Hotel. Nur die Gegend, in der das Hotel liegt ist, nicht besonders vertrauenserweckend.

Säng med bäddmadrass av svensk standard! Ok restaurang, god service i receptionen. Lite stressat för personalen vid frukostanstormingen.
