Hotel New York - Milanas

The hotel has a great location next to the train station, so it's perfect for early morning departures. It's perfectly fine, my complaint is that all the rooms reeked of smoke. Their response was, "No, it's non smoking, but sometimes people smoke." My clothes smelled, but other than that, it's pretty good value and perfect location for being in transit.

Hotel New York is right in front of the Centrale train station, making it a good location for accessing metro lines as well as trains to other parts of Italy. Rooms are simple and small, but clean and tidy. The staff speaks English are were very nice (they helped us greatly with a lost-baggage issue). While the Centrale neighborhood isn't exactly a hub of excitement or nightlife, you are only a few stops away from the Duomo and any other area of the city. This is a perfect little traveler hotel, worth the price and is in a location that makes catching trains (within the city or to other destinations) very easy. I recommend!

Very surprised this had a three star rating.The lobby was fine. The room was large. It smelled. The curtains looked like scraps from another location. The windows were dirty. The bedding and carpet were old. The small shower had mildew - as much water shot over the shower stall as trickled inside the stall. Not worth what I paid for the one night (rather than 3) I stayed.

For a quick trip to Milan, this hotel served its purpose. Easy walking distance to the train station. Some restaurants nearby. Quick access to tour buses. Good as a home base for day trips to Venice, which is much more expensive. Definitely no frills.

The hotel is directly across the street (south) from the central train station so is convenient from that regard. It's a 30-40 minute walk to the town center and most sight-seeing. It was clean and the complimentary breakfast was sufficient. While adequate for one or two nights, it's nothing to write home about.

The price was right and the location was good. However the hotel is certainly not outstanding. We were bitten by a lot of mosquitos but that's probably our fault for opening the window.

Good for a quick stop for a night. Nothing more.

Stayed for three nights. Great location, right next to central station and metro line. Room was nice, bit warm at night but still perfect. Breakfast though was very poor, cold coffee, no bread, nothing to eat at all actually!! and this was only nine am, breakfast is served till ten am. All in all, great location, nice room (ask for one on level six, it has a balcony with a great view)

The hotel was ideal, close to the train station and metro and the coach from the airport dropped us off just down the road. The hotel was fit for purpose and was cheap.

The hotel location was convenient. It was clean, comfortable and the room was in good condition. Breakfast was a little disappointing, but you can not beat how easy it was to get to the train station, metro and airport shuttles.

Real easy to find, immediatley in front of the Central Railway Station. Easy to get to from the Airports by Bus (7 Euro from Malpensa). Very quiet at night as the location around the train staion is maily office buildings and the workers all go home.

I booked this last minute...and it was actually a great place for the money. Large bathroom, balcony, tv, etc... It was very close and convenient to the Main train station and the Metro lines. Very convenient to get around. Not a bad place at all. I never felt unsafe...even though it was next to the train Station. easy to get to your next destination. Helpful staff...

This was a lovely hotel and was very easy to find. We arrived in Milan through Bergamo (Orio al Serio airport), took a bus to central milan. We got off the bus from the airport and dispite not being able to speak much Italian we located the hotel fairly easily as it was so close to the bus station/ train station it was great! The hotel staff were very friendly and either spoke English or were very patient and accommodating. Hotel staff were very help and even helped us located good places to eat and popular shopping areas and provided us with a map. The hotel was clean and tidy and just as pictured/ described. Overall experience was great, would definitely recommend!

Hotel brilliantly located very close to train station. Room was clean and comfortable for one person. People in reception were very nice and always helpful. Breakfast needs improving.

At check in in spite of showing them the printout of the reservation for two rooms with two adults and a child in each one, they insisted that our rooms were wrongly reserved and gave us only two rooms with one bed in each one. The clerck and personel in general are very rude and unpolite.

Centralt hotell, trevlig personal, men inte 3stjärnig standard, slitet, hårda kuddar, men vill du bo billigt och centralt duger det för en övernattning

Le personnel pas tres gentil qui a refuse le petit dejeuner sec tres tot le matin,demande de notre part a cause de notre vol tres tot le matin.

Kamer was superschoon, ontbijt bood voldoende keuze en werd regelmatig aangevuld. Personeel was erg vriendelijk. Ligging t.o. Pirellitoren op minder dan 5 minuten lopen van tram, metro en trein. Kortom verschrikkelijk genoten van dit hotel.

Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is goed. Kamers zijn niet groot, maar acceptabel als je toch niet veel op je kamer bent. Het ontbijt is prima, maar de bediening c.q. aanvulling van broodjes e.d. is traag.

Nemt at finde - hotelnavnet i neon kan ses fra Statione Centrale. Godt roligt værelse. Meget hjælpsom reception.

Heel netjes hotel! dicht bij metro/centraal station. Heel erg behulpzame mensen. Heerlijk ontbijt, met veel lekker hapjes!

Al lado de la estacion central, comodisimo para moverse por Milan e Italia. Autobuses, tranvía, metro ... cerquisima. Los autobuses directos de los tres aeropuertos cercanos tienen base al lado. El personal amabilisimo. Las habitaciones silenciosas y muy cómodas. Estoy muy contenta, yo volvería. Accanto l'stazione centrale, comodissimo per muoversi per Milano e Italia. vicinissimi tutti bus, metropolitana, trans, pure autobus degli aeroporti si fermano lí. L'staff veramente gentilissimi. L'stanza comoda e silenziosa. Sono molto contenta, Io tornerei una altra volta. Very close to central rail station, and all other transport available near it. All bus from the three airports stop here too. Staff very kindly. Rooms conformable and quiet. I'm very happy with it. I'd return.

De ligging van het hotel is gunstig. Het ligt vlakbij het centraal station en in de buurt liggen uitgaangelegenheden. Het ontbijt was goed. Het personeel verwees ons voor het avondeten naar een uitstekend restaurant.

Mycket prisvärt hotell vid central stationen, Malpensa express (Buss)går direkt från flygplatsen till centralstationen som ligger 2 min från hotellet. ca 25 min promenad till Dumo. Frächt hotell med ok frukost för liten pening..

We surely chose this hotel, since we came back from Venice in the late evening, and was leaving to the airport in the early morning next day. Just outside the train station you can see the hotel sign with light on in night. A bit expensive, but the location is perfect for the shuttle buses to airport and the trains.

Central location, yet not noisy. Small rooms with large and well equipped bath-rooms. Minibar and safety box. Very, very friendly staff. Breakfast may not be outstanding, but no-one has to start the day hungry, and the coffee was good.

Jó volt, sajnos reggelit nem kaptam, mert hajnali 4-kor el kellett menjek. Nagy előnye, hogy a főpályaudvarral szemben van. Innen indulnak a bergamói reptérre is a buszok.

Located near airportcoaches and centra station. A long walk/taxi to shopping/tourustic aerea. A small hotel, should have been upgraded. You'll get what you pay for - little....

Min veninde og jeg var meget spændte på at se hotel New York, da vi var en smule bekymrede for standarden. Vi havde fået det rigtig billigt ift alt andet vi kunne finde på nettet og tænkte, at det måske var skummelt at hotellet lå lige ved hovedbanegården. Det var det overhovedet ikke -tværtimod lå det rigtig godt - metroen er lige om hjørnet og der ganske få stop til centrum. Den første dag gik vi faktisk derind. Hotellet var rent og pænt og betjeningen flink. Der var ingen dikkedarer - men alt fungerede som det skulle. Vi vil helt sikkert vælge det igen en anden gang.

Stället ligger jättenära Milanos centralstation, man ser det från entrén. Det är billigt och servicen var bra. Frukosten också över förväntan. Sängen var dock stenhård och rummet fult och omysigt. Helt ok för en natt om man ska åka vidare nästa dag.

Bra service, ok frukost, enkelt men rent och snyggt. Det enda som inte var bra var kuddarna som var hårda som betong och möjligen att trafiken hördes ganska mycket.

Hotellet var hyffsat med bekväma sängar och det var ok städat. Mycket bra läge eftersom det ligger väldigt nära centralstationen, bra när man kommer från flygplatsen och när man vill ta sig runt i staden. Frukostbuffen var inte så imponerande.
