The air conditioning was poor. The front desk service left a lot to be desired. The restaurant service was awful. I never got my food. The hotel smelled of cleaning fluid.

The hotel was nice, great room, great service. Not much in terms of the surrounding neighborhood but it was really convenient for getting to the airport. We stayed all over Spain and the value for the money was awesome. The hotel was not too far from the center of town and they have a shuttle. But the best part was that it was no more than 5 minutes from the airport.

We stayed at the hotel for its proximity to the airport. There is nothing else to recommend the location. Internet and TV are additional charges. We were told at check-in that no breakfast was included. "Luckily," the a/c did not work in our first room, so we were moved to a nicer room and breakfast was included for us. It was like night and day after that.

The room was very good for a business traveler with a couple of exceptions. The minibar comes empty, but you could purchase a narrow range of items in the lobby. Don't stay here if you expect any conveniences or amenities from the surrounding neighborhood. There was no in-room coffee which I consider a real nuisance when traveling for business. Food was ok for the price.

It's located in an industrial area near the airport. There are absolutely no restaurants or other conveniences near the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. This was a very pleasant surprise after having been in Europe for the previous two weeks...

Loved the convenience and the free shuttle to/from the airport. Rooms were clean and modern. Location is pretty far from downtown and attractions, though. Also, the meals were very pricey for the caliber of food. Although, without a car, you don't have much choice but to eat at the hotel. Price should include at least a continental breakfast.

The hotel offered reqular shuttle service to Las Ramblas which made it very convenient for our last night - we were still able to do "touristy" things but had the conveninence of their airport shuttle in the am. Definatley recomment the Elite rooms - the lounge was an added bonus!

We chose the hotel because it was close to the airport and the cruise ship. This is not a typical Marriott Hotel. The staff was great including front desk and the restaurant and bar. The lobby was fine and, truthfully, the dinner in the restaurant was fabulous. But the hotel room was deplorable. It needed a good cleaning and painting, the hallways and spaces were narrow. The air conditioner only made the room more humid and mosquitos had a feast on us. We were glad we stayed only one night prior to the cruise. Our 3 night stay in Barcelona after the cruise was at the Grand Via Hotel. It was fabulous!

The hotel was nice. The ice machine was not working on our floor but room service provided us with some ice. It is a great hotel for one night if you are just wanting a place to wait for your flight the next day. No resturants or shopping near by.

The hotel is modern, clean and well staffed. It is particularly good if you are passing through the airport area for a cruise or are in Barcelona on business in the airport area. There is a good restaurant on site and a quiet bar. The staff is friendly and several speak English well. There are not many restaurants in the adjacent area, but the hotel has regular shuttle service to Las Rambles and a free shuttle to the airport.

This hotel was a wonderful commuter hotel. They were prompt in picking us up from the Barcelona airport and returning us there. A wonderful service. They also took us free of charge downtown where we picked up a tour bus. The service was wonderful except for at the bar area where we ordered food. The service was very poor and was expensive.

We have 46 mosquito bytes as a souvenir from this hotel. Staff was not resposive. Room A/C was not working when we checked in. We heard excuses like give it a couple of hours to cool off (that was at 10.30pm). We had to open the windows but room filled with mosquitoes which terrorized us all night. We called ahead twice to confirm the third guests (they showed 2 people in their booking, but we paid for three...) We asked for 3 sets of towels as we were 3 guests (which we paid extra for!!). The extra towel never arrived. In the morning during check-out they never apologized for, or addressed their mistakes. The pick up van was 20 minutes late. They never apologized for this or anything else. The hotel manager never showed up. He is some Swedish guy and looked unhappy ... This is worst Renaissance I've ever stayed in.

This hotel is fairly new (2007), and is in excellent condition. Good Food in their restaurant, great room service, front desk and conceirge staff fluent in English. Room was fine, but A/C not terribly effective - ask for room facing other than West. Free shuttle to airport starts at 5 a.m. and was very prompt. Surrounding area has nothing within walking distance re: other restaurants. This is a great hotel for an overnight stay prior to an early morning flight departure or a late night arrival prior to a cruise.

Our original plans were to stay at the hotel on 12/31/07 , with 1 son 17, a bed was to be placed in the room. Our older son decided to come into the city and stay with us. WE called ahead and on the 29th and were told by an employee who answered the telephone certainly to come on the 30th with our older son, and it would only be 30 Euro. Upon arrival we were told this was not possible, we would have to rent another room, only 3 to a room. The manager put us rooms side by side with the promise it would be the original rate - only a couple of other problems, one tv did not work in one room. all in all it was a very good hotel.

This hotel was very plush and had a great shuttle service. The room was quiet and well equipped, however, the shower head was broken as was the chain latch on our door. The room was more expensive than I would have liked, however, it was one of the only hotels closed enough to the airport with a free shuttle. There was some slight confusion about whether or not the shuttle was running on New Year's Eve, but the hotel offered to pay for a cab to the airport. Overall a great hotel if you are not on a tight budget.

We liked the looks of the hotel, however, the walls were extremely paper thin. There is hardly anything in english on the television, but overall it wasn't bad. Just a tip for travelers. If you think a cab ride is cheap just over to the hotel, it's not. It costs us 20 euros to go a couple of blocks. The hotel has a shuttle that leaves from the airport every 15 minutes. That is your best bet.

We arrived very late but were greeted promptly and efficiently by a very friendly reception. Everyone spoke excellent English. We only stayed one night as we were taking an early morning flight. Breakfast buffet was well presented good selection and quick, then the checkout easy, shuttle to the airport every half hour. Would definitely use this hotel again.

Long queues at slow check in. Only soft drinks in bar fridge. Minimum toiletries in bathroom (Iand no shower cap) printer in business centre not working. Bar meals poor and overpriced and slow service. Wrong juice and yogurt delivered for breakfast. The only highlight was the bellboy who arranged for sparkling water to be delivered to room and for the use of another hotel printer. We have stayed here before and found it painful, but it's handy for early flights with courtesy bus. Wont do it again, for the price we paid can find better.

Hotel is nice and worth staying, especially if need to fly to BCN El Prat. Rooms are nice, and new...comfortable beds. PROS: location near BCN, newly built, nice rooms CONS: No shampoo/body soap in rooms; long waiting time in counter to check in/out (hotel is quite busy). I would recommend this hotel for travellers trying to be near the airport.

This is a great hotel wiht very bad service. The people in the reception didn't even speak Spanish nor English well egnough and were not qualified to answer any questions. In addition they were understaffed. It is not clear why the owners of a so nicely appointed hotel would do a thing like this.

Wilden per se niet voor een dubbeltje op de eerste rij zitten en boekten juist dit hotel (voor één nacht) vanwege een late vlucht op vrijdagavond. Bij de kamerprijs was een gratis shuttle van het vliegveld naar het hotel inbegrepen en dat is natuurlijk mooi meegenomen. Helaas bleek de shuttle kort na middernacht niet meer te rijden en moesten we alsnog een taxi nemen (€ 20). Ontvangst nogal onvriendelijk; de kamer "loeiheet" (00.45 uur) en niet echt proper, muggen en geen watertje of iets anders te bekennen; zelfs de minibar was leeg. (Nog een wonder dat ze wisten dat we geboekt hadden.) Moesten zelf de drankjes maar komen ophalen bij de receptie. Na het "Full continental breakfast" ("nou nou") uitgecheckt en een half uur staan wachten op de shuttle naar het vliegveld. Tweede helft van de vakantie ingecheckt bij het Princesa Sofia (ook 5 sterren). Misschien dat ze daar eens een kijkje kunnen nemen. Kamers zien er misschien niet (meer) zo gelikt uit, maar de service is wel "tig" keer beter. De één durft het te vragen en de andere doet er echt ite voor. Staat werkelijk in geen enkele verhouding. Kortom, wij boeken dit hotel nooit meer.

Hôtel à 2 pas de l'aéroport et c'est pourquoi nous l'avons choisi. Nous avions demandé un lit supplémentaire pour un enfant. Ce lit a été obtenu un peu laborieusement (3 relances au total). Côté confort, la ventilation était bruyante et le parquet ne favorise pas la tranquillité (bruit de la chambre du dessus). Personnel agréable.
