Great value for money and excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. My children liked the old-fashioned lift!

the highlight of my stay was that the hotel took care of my car and i didn't have to pay any parking fares. I came quite late around 1AM and forgot to let them know in advance but they still kept my room. The location of the hotel is a bit hidden but it is actually well located to all main attractions. My room was situated by the street so when it is hot you can't really open the window because of the noise and there is no Air Conditionning so it was a bit tough. Otherwise it was clean and in good condition. I left my car key with the reception ias they offered to take care of my car and park it when they found a spot for me. It was really great to have been offered this service for free! Will definitely stay again!

The location of the hotel is quite center from shopping complexes and eateries like Massena Palace, Nice Etoille and the Old Town in Nice. The beach and the Old town was a walk away. Hotel staff was borderline lukewarm friendliness. Hot water will only be given after requesting from the hotel staff in the morning and there are no fan and air conditioning, In the hot summer, the rooms are stuffy. Noisy during the night as the pub is down the road. Check out time was too early at 11 a.m. Overall it was an overprice place to stay with the poor quality of service and condition.

The hotel was in a very good location. The rooms were very small and the bathroom you could hardly swing a cat. Rooms very basic, hot and noisy but were cleaned daily and towels changed daily. Would only recommend this hotel for a few nights and to young travellers.

Desk was helpful and nice. The mattress was foam. Couldn't decide if it was cleaner sleeping in the sheet or on the comforter?? Restaurant noises were loud till late and the street noises were loud after that. Had to close the windows to block out the sounds and lost all possibilities to cool off the room.

On downside: the rooms were really small and the attached bath..shower was extremely small, someone a little overweight would probably not fit. wifi at the lobby was supposed to work but did not really work. On positive side: great location, the central bus terminus and all other important things are really close, only 2 blocks away from the beach. If you are planning to use the hotel just for night stay and roam around for the day, great value for money.

Upon arrival there was a warm greeting from the receptionist, who spoke good English. The spiral stairs that run around a central lift are a distinctive feature of the hotel. My room was on the fifth floor. It was an average size with a comfortable double bed. The bathroom was spotless, yet tiny and would be less ideal if two people were sharing the room. The hotel's best feature is it's location: only a five-minute walk to the central bus station and ten-minutes to Nice Ville train station. The old town is a short walk, whilst the beach is between 5-10 minutes away. Overall, I would recommend Hotel Acanthe as a place to stay in Nice, especially for younger travellers and those on a budget, who want a clean place to base themselves.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was tiny, old, and dirty. The bathroom had an overwhelming mildew smell. The service was terrible. We had the electricity go out without warning on 2 separate occasions (lovely to shower in the dark). We also had hammering going on in the room next to us, which I believe was the reason for the electricity shutdown. The hallway smelled awful, a combo of cigarettes and garbage. One night the smell was so bad it actually woke us up. Only good thing I can say about the hotel is the location.

An excellent location. Room was so small that we could hardly open our suitcase. The bathroom was also very cosy and not suitable for anyone who is overweight. The breakfast room was dingy and the breakfast was not brilliant.

The hotel had a great location. Just minutes away from Rue Massena and the big shopping strip. Also, it was just a five minute walk to the beach. Staff there was very nice and helpful. Our room was very small for four people. We could barely move in there. Other than that it was great! I would stay there again.

We are a mature couple, around 50 years old and this was the 2nd visit to this hotel. The location is very good close to the town's market area, shopping centre and beach. The railway station and bus station was within walking distance. The bedroom/shower, were a fair size and were basic. TV, Phone but No fridge or hot drink makings and as the price would reflect, no air conditioning. The staff were nice and spoke good english. The continental breakfast was fine. The temporature during this visit was in the 30c and so the drawback was at night with the window open, the noise from the streets carried on through the night. We got used to it and I expect will go back to this low cost hotel again

The room was tiny and stuffy. Although the sheets were clean the bed clothes were old. The bathroom was too small to move comfortably in and the shower ran out onto the floor. We got an extra towel to keep it from running onto the carpet, however others before us had not and the carpet just outside the bathroom door was musty which added to the stuffiness of the room. There was no air conditioner or fan available and having the windows open helped, but it was extremely noisy. This would be an okay room for college or singles who wanted to be at the beach and not spend alot. The location is good. The free breakfast was a basket of bread, butter, jelly and coffee or tea, which was okay.

Location Location Location. Close to all! Perfect for travelers who just need a place to sleep, very noisy at night for light sleepers. Across from a restaurant open until 2-3am.

chambre etroite et sale, lorsque un fumeur passe il serait souhaitable de la aerer, personnel pas sympatique, petit dej l'estrict minimum, tele pas mieux qu'un minitel , l'assenceur fait un bruit a reveiller un mort

Le seul point noir était l'absence de climatiseur dans la chambre (à Nice avec 30°C à l'extérieur, la climatisation paraît indispensable!). Nous sommes arrivés vers 23H et il était impossible de stationner alentour, le veilleur de nuit nous a proposé de garer devant l'entrée, ce que nous avons fortement apprécié.

Svært lite rom med liten plass for baggasje. På varme sommerdager var det veldig varmt på det lille rommet. Det hjalp lite med vifte. Ved avreise før kl.08 på søndag morgen hadde vi problemer med å få servert frokost. Sentral beliggenhet med nærhet til til byens severdigheter.

The hotel has three good qualities; its location, its prices and its English speaking staff. Otherwise, the rooms are small, kind of shabby and the air conditioning is actually just a fan. I recommend this hotel to people on a budget who does not mind the heat.

Hotellet har en super beliggenhed lige ved en smuk plads, og der er ikke langt til strandpromenaden og bydelen. Det som trækker en smule ned er hotellets størrelse, da både værelse og toilet er relativt småt.

L'albergo è situato in un bel punto della città, vicino al mare e vicino al centro. La struttura non è nuovissima e poco curata, grandi macchie di umidità decoravano le pareti della camera. La camera era purtroppo dotata di moquette e quindi la pulizia del pavimento lasciava a desiderare, in compenso il bagno era pulito e i sanitari funzionavano bene, l' acqua non era troppo calda ma adeguata alla stagione, gli asciugamani venivano rimessi puliti ogni giorno.

Prima klein en knus hotel in het centrum van Nice. 24-uurs receptie dus ideaal als je gaat stappen en laat terugkomt. Ontbijt is klein, 1 croissant, 1 broodje, jus, boter+jam en koffie/thee wordt geserveerd op een dienblad. Er is geen ontbijtbuffet. Kamers zijn klein, maar hebben wel alles dat nodig is, zoals eigen toilet, douche en wastafel. Parkeren met de auto moet in de garage nabij voor ongeveer €25 p/dag, dus houd daar rekening mee als je denkt goedkoop uit te zijn hier!

Très bien placé près du vieux nice, de la place Massena, de la promenade des anglais. Personnel agréable. Préférez les chambres en façade (ex : 38). Peu cher, bon rapport qualité prix.

Accueil parfait grande disponibilitée du personnel. Les chambres sont tres propres, et si comme moi vous ne voulez pas du 4 etoiles cela conviens tout a fait. En plus il est en plein coeur de la ville est trés facile d'accés, et a proximité de lieux tout aussi interessant les uns que les autres. Seule ombre au tableau il faudrait que la Direction revoi l'insonorisation des chambres. On a tendance a entendre ce qui se passe dans la chambre a coté. Le cabinet de toilette est certes un peu petit (du moins pour ma chambre)mais cela ne m'a pas gené plus que cela.

Dans lensemble lHotel est correct, très proche des commerces, place masséna, pour le carnaval cest l'ideal! Seul soucis , trouver une place pour se garer... Petit point negatif:quelques odeurs dans la salle de bain, mais rien de méchant.

Chambre sans WC ,separation l'une de l'autre par une porte en bois(insorisation)Pratiquement pas de chauffage et de l'eau tiede. L'annee derniere la chambre etait beaucoup mieux.

Hotel Acanthe ist kein Luxus Hotel ist aber günstig, praktisch und sauber Da mein Flug verspätet war war ich froh das es nur etwa 15 Minuten vom Flughafen per Taxi liegt Die Mitarbeitern waren freundlich und hilfreich

De kamer was op het zicht schoon, maar het stonk er verschrikkelijk. Raam open hielp niet. De locatie is wel perfect, vlak bij de oude stad en het (moderne) centrum
