Hotel Bellagio - Bellagio

nice hotel located right behind Hotel Suisse on lakefront (near boat service). We caught the ferry over from Veranna - a short 10 min journey costing c. EUR 13 for car & 2 passengers. We left car on square by ferry overnight (around Eur 1.50 per hour, 8 - 8) and walked just 100 yards up lakefront to Hotel Suisse and up short flight of around 30 steps to entrance. Reception staff spoke excellent English and showed us to a lovely room on back of hotel with balcony and side window views of lake (ask for Rm 305!). Room was in excellent condition - very nicely decorated in modern style. Next morning we moved car to hill behind ferry square where you can park for free. Breakfast is pretty basic - just pastries, toast & cereals if you want a slightly more substantial breakfast then you could stay at sister Hotel du Lac on lake front (slightly older), although I understand you can arrange a half-board agreement with this hotel if you wish - just a short walk away. The hotel is also twinned with Bellagio Sporting Club on top of hill (around 15 mins walk) which you can visit for free (usually EUR 10). We spent a day here - there is a free shuttlebus every hour or so from the ferry square and you can spend the day relaxing by the pool, or playing tennis if you feel active (we didn't!). Nice country club feel with formal restaurant on terrace or under trees; or bar snacks if you prefer. For a reasonably price hotel in excellent condition and location, I would def recommend

Great location and excellent value for money. Perfect for a short stay in Bellagio. Don't be put off by the fact that this hotel has only 2 stars!

Clean, friendly hotel with a view to stay in your room for (day and night). The cappucino aint bad either.

Hotel is very close to the ferry dock, only a building or two from the water. Nice reception workers, good breakfast, could use some eggs, but overall a nice breakfast. If you stay for a few days, the extra for the water view room may be worthwhile, but for one or two nights, not necessary as you will most likely eat on the waterfront and spend your days/nights walking all over anyway to see the sights. You can take the ferry to Verrana and the train from there right to Milan Centrale. (shorter route than going back into Como)

Bellagio is a beautiful town, lots of steps to hotel but views beautiful. Staff exceptionally friendly, gave us advise re routes to take and sights to see. Very quite, would love to see it in the summer

Bellagio is a great place to stay - very pretty, wonderful restaurants and amazing small boutiques. The hotel was adequate but the rooms were small, ours did not have a lake view despite paying for one (!) and the hot water ran out even though it was the low season. Breakfast was poor. We stayed in November.

The steps were a slight drawback as was the alley view, but the location and quality exceeded other 3 star rooms.

Very comfortable, clean and the location is great! Good value for the money..

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel during a 4 day break based around Bellagio. We did not get a room with a lake view which was a shame (this is not guaranteed if you book on this website), as most rooms back onto surrounding buildings. This did not overshadow our stay and we would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Bellagio.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel and were very satisfied with the accomodations. The staff was very friendly, breakfast more then adequate including great cappachinos, wonderful location in Bellagio, the beds were the typical "hard" Europeon mattresses but tolerable, they gave us the option for a lake view for an extra 20 Euros and was well worth the money. Overall a very nice experience and definitely a better option then some of the larger hotels in the area.

Hotel was pretty and very clean. View from the window was of the lake, and the balcony faced a lovely courtyard of old houses with lots of flowers. Rooms are a little small and you must be able to climb the long column of pretty stone steps up to the front of the hotel! Parking is Bellagio is always a problem.

My first time in Bellagio and just got lucky booking this property. It was off season and price was very affordable. The staff is *outstanding* and helped me with train connections from Bellagio->Venice. I hope to return to Bellagio again soon, and will most definitely want to stay at Hotel Bellagio - what a gem! The room was perfect for me (traveling alone) and quiet, comfortable and terrific breakfast room with a terrace.

rOOM WAS SPOTLESS, THE STAFF WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND, ALTHOUGH IT WAS THE QUIET SEASON. STEPS TO GET LUGGAGE INTO HOTEL WERE A BIT DAUNTING. VIEWS FROM ROOM WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL. TRENDY BOUTIQUE STYLE FURNISHINGS

just a quick note to say how brilliant the hotel was the service was spot on the rooms were out of this world with one of the best views of lake como i have ever seen it was so peacefull and very relaxing it is in a great position as you have the links with the ferrys just outside the door the staff were very polite and gave us loads of imformation about the best places to eat. hoping to go back in april for a longer period.

The location and price of this hotel were both fantastic. The room itself was not luxurious, but comfortable. The room with a view was well worth the extra $10-15. The staff of the hotel was very helpful and the cappuccino at breakfast was great.

LOVED this hotel and the people who worked there. Everyone was so courteous and so helpful, from getting me reservations at a restaurant to helping me rent a car for the day. There was always a smile on the staff's faces and graciousness at its best. The only minor negative, but it's like that all over Ballagio, the steps to the hotel...older or unable individuals may not be able to get into the hotel and enjoy the ambience. Would I go back...in a heartbeat.

Good location and only that. Very expensive for what it offers. Lousy breakfast, both in quality and quantity Not helpful and impolite staff: when we arrived and complained about the lack of parking spots, they said that we should have reserved one (no one told us to do so) and that we should wait in the street in the car in case maybe a spot emptied. No help at all with occasional favors we asked at the reception. Small room with lousy view to the kitchen of a neighbouring house where they could see us all day long. No help with luggage. Although they offered a shuttle bus to their own sporting club 15-20 walk on the hill, they could not arrange a transport for a group of us because it was not on the scheduled hours. Very unsatisfied, would NOT recommend it, they even caused problems instead of making our stay there better. Stay away!

L'hôtel est d'accès difficile car il faut traverser bellagio et il faut un code d'accès pour ouvrir la barrière de la route. naturellement, quand vous arrivez, vous n'avez pas ce code! Ensuite , cet hôtel est au milieu de la vieille ville et il y a des escaliers. Enfin , les 2 hôtesses à l'accueil n'étaient vraiment pas sympas.

Veldig vanskelig adkomst med bil. Ikke parkering. 15 min. å gå til bassenget på et sportssenter (kan bestille shuttlebus). Ikke alle rom har sjøutsikt. Så rett inn i kjøkkenet til naboen, gjennomsiktige gardiner. Ellers veldig sentralt for dem som ønsker å bo midt i gamlebyen. Adkomst via et smau fra kaien. Enkel frokost.

Regulært lille familiehotel med gode funktionelle værelser med en høj standard. Heraf ded fleste med en fantastisk udsigt både over byens tage og over Comosøen.

This is a really cosy hotel in cosy surroundings. If you plan a romantic getaway, this is the place.
