I spent 3 nights in this hotel, the staff were very friendly and all spoke english, hotel rooms very clean, cosy rooms. lots of choice for breakfast. The 11th floor lounge bar was a great place to chill with great views of the city. The hotel is in a quiet location not too far to walk to the city centre, would definetly use this hotel again

It was a friendly atmosphere and service was timely and professional. The room was clean and it was quiet in the hotel at night- no late partying by other guests. The breakfast was filling and varied. This sounds almost like a professional blurb for the hotel but I really did enjoy the stay in the hotel even more than I enjoyed visiting the city! The weather was chilly and after walking around for hours it was just nice to return to a warm and inviting hotel and room. I missed the happy hour unfortunately with the 2 for 1 drinks but it was still nice to have a bar area in the hotel.

Great location, clean, good breakfast. Everything you'll need. Dont waste your time and just book it if the price suits you.

The hotel is situated quite central in one corner of the old town. There is walking distance to all the landmarks. In despite of this we had no problems with noise at nights. It's a quiet neighbourhood.

For our winter visit to Riga . We needed to be close to the old part of the city, the Albert was well located, close to the park areas which looked so pretty dressed with snow. Trolley buses into the centre ran every three minutes if needed, the old town is well worth a visit, pedestrianised full of interest.

Great Hotel-all facilities provided-nothing was too much trouble!!

Albert Hotel is a lovely Hotel, although not in the Old Town it's close enough to all attractions on foot. The breakfast is great, lots of choice. Rooms are small but comfortable, the beds are so soft and the rooms so quiet, I'm sure we could have slept all day! One disappointing thing was that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although you could rent (!) a kettle from reception.

Just returned from the Albert Hotel in Riga and would recommend this hotel. Our room was very comfortable, clean etc. Only drawback was that we overlooked the building site, however with it being the weekend no-one was working on it. There is a 10 minute walk to the Old Town, however to us this was not a problem. The breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose from. I would not hesitate to stay in the Albert Hotel if we were to return to Riga.

Alberts is a very comfortable hotel. Rooms are basic but h. Some on ave all necessary amenities including free wi-fi. the upper floors have a fantastic view of the rooftops of Riga and a view of old town. Restaurants serves a very nice buffet breakfast that was included in the price of the room. I ate several other times in the restaurant at lunch and dinner and found food to be good quality. The lounge on the 11th floor is superb to take on a coctail in the evening and enjoy the view.

I booked the hotel only after reading through the reviews so I thought I must write one too. I am very happy that I made a good choice. I found the hotel rooms clean and comfortable. I know there are no huge closets but worked well for me. I really liked the breakfast buffet. Enjoyed dinner at the restaurant too. The staff was friendly...I mean what else do you need. The old city is close by and I enjoyed the walk.

The Hotel Albert was chosen on the basis of affordability. I normally stay in 4/5 star hotels, so took a bit of a gamble, but it paid off. Very comfortable hotel which is nicely appointed. Slightly tenuous "Albert Einstein" theme - if you read the promo material, you discover that Albert Einstein's confidante lived in Riga and the scientist had always wanted to visit - unfortunately the war got in the way. So, Einstein has never actually been to Riga - see what I mean about tenuous?! Hotel is modern, with flat screen televisions in every guest room. No tea/coffee provisions - these can be hired, though the rate is extortionate. By the way, if you're thinking that your holiday in Latvia will be a cheap one, then think again. One Latvian Lat is currently worth approximately GBP 1.25. On average, a two course meal with wine for two people, including 10% service, comes out at about 50 Lats = £62.50. Ouch!

went to Riga on a short weekend break and stayed at the Albert Hotel. Don't be put off by the exterior of the hotel as the interior is very clean, warm and welcoming. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and there was plenty of variety for breakfast. Great views from the Star bar on the 11th floor some people may find the roms on the small side but for the price you cannot go wrong. The Hotel is in the Art Novnou quarter and within walkig distance to the rest of the city.

Lovely new modern hotel only a 15 minute stoll to the Old town. Great breakfast served until 11am. No need to buy lunch! Only negative point, no drawers for clothes in bedroom, and limited wardrobe / hanging space. therefore unable to unpack suitcase, not ideal for a five day stay. However we loved Riga. Plenty of good quality restaurants and bars within staggering distance. No need for Taxis.

Friendly service and a young fresh look. The theme 'Albert Einstein' might give an extra dimension to people. Please go to the little shop infront of the Hotel as well!

simply put, I was plesantly supprised with the hotel...all the staff were nice, helpfull and friendly....and were happy to answer any 'ridiculas' questions we tourists like to ask.... The only let down in the hotel was the breakfast...I was not impressed with it, and I felt that they can degfinatly improve on it..however in saying that there was not actually anything wrong woith it, I just did not like it..... I would happily reccomend the hotel to anyone looking to go to Riga

Had a fab time in Riga recently and the Hotel Albert was fab - it was around 10 mins to walk to the old town where the main restaurants were and if you wanted to be lazy a taxi back only cost 4 lats - The hotel itself was based on Albert Einstein and had a contemporary feel. Lovely rooftop bar too selling great cocktails - def stay here whilst in Riga

Very efficient and clean hotel, slightly out of old town. Has reliable wireless internet conection. I will use this one again.

Very nice 'buisness' style quality hotel, quiet inside but close enough to the attractions. About a 10 min walk through lovely parks to the old town centre and 3 mins from great bars and clubs. Good supermarket within 5 min walk. Has its own taxi rank outside that always has cars waiting to take you where you want. The included breakfast was the best I've seen in a long time - everything you could want all in the buffet and the staff were happy to rustle up anything else you may desire. The hotel was busy with conferences during the weekdays we were there, but never overflowing. The bar on the roof is a little dissappointing but the hotel overall is great value for money and we had a comfortable stay.

Stayed in the Albert Hotel for 3 nights in November. I think this should be rated as a 4 star. Would definetely go back. It is a 10 -15 min walk from the old town. The "Bestsellers" restaurant in the hotel was so good we ate their on 2 evenings out of our three.

Bra hotell med bra läge och skybar, rummen och hotellet är genomgående fräscht. Eventuellt lite små sängar och rum. 10 min promenad till gamla stan. Nära till många klubbar och nattliv. Restauranger och affärer finns i närheten. Trevlig personal. Kort och gott ett hotell att rekommendera.

Ett modernt hotell med allt som man förväntar sig av ett internationellt hotell. Trådlöst nätverk ingår i priset, trevlig "sky bar" på översta våningen. Tyvärr får man inte många leenden i retur av personalen men detta är ju ett regionalt problem så det kan inte belastas hotellet.

Nyt & glimrende hotel. Stille og god beliggenhed. Serviceminded personale, god morgenmad, rent og velfungerende værelse. Ville koste mere end det dobbelte i resten af Europa.

Har vært flere ganger i Riga og bodd både på Reval og Islande. Hotel Albert er helt klart mye billigere enn f.eks. Reval, men standarden er ikke mye dårligere. Albert er helt klart et billig og bra alternativ. Reiste to voksne med 11 åring. Ble noe trangt på rommet, men helt greit dersom du ikke skal tilbringe masse tid på rommet. Hotellet har en topp-bar som gir flott utsikt over byen. I området rundt ligger det en god del koselige restauranter, med mulighet til å sitte ute ved godt vær. God gå avstand til det meste!

Helt OK hotell. Smakløs/dårølig frokost.

Hotellet har god beliggenhet med gangavstand til gamlebyen (ca. 10 min). Personalet er hyggelige og imøtekommende, hjelper deg med det meste du trenger av info og f.eks bestilling av spa. Restauranten har god mat og frokostbuffet. Skybaren i toppetasjen kan skimte med byens beste utsikt og gode drinker.

The hotel was great; nice breakfast, nice rooms and serviceminded staff.

Fint hotell, god frokost, ikke for langt unna, kunne gå til alt. God hjelp med attraksjoner utenfor byen. Fin utsikt fra skybaren. Kan absolutt anbefalses.

Vi bodde på nionde våningen och allt var perfekt. Lugnt, tryggt och säkert. Nära gångavstånd till allt. Frukosten gav oss det vi ville ha. Trevlig personal. Rent och fräscht överallt. Balkongen på elfte våningen var strålande och gjord som en skön avslutning på dagen med en drink eller bara njuta av solnedgången.

L´albergo e´in una zona signorile vicino alla via Alberta (art nuveau area) e ha un ottimo ristorante ed uno skyline bar da togliere il respiro. OTTIMO

Hotellet verkar ganska nybyggtt. Relativt små men väl fungerande rum. Mycket bekväma sängar och toa--och duschrummet mycket fräscht. Frukosten god och ganska lagom i omfattning

Har bodd på dette hotellet både i juni 2008 og juli 2009, og bor gjerne her senere også! La imidlertid merke til at møbler og korridorer virket litt slitte i 2009, noe jeg ikke tenkte på i 2008. Her bør hotellet passe på så de ikke blir lurvete! Staben er hyggelig og hjelpsomme, rommene komfortable og frokosten god! Restauranten er også veldig bra! 15 min. spasertur til gamlebyen gjennom hyggelige gater - Albert kan anbefales.

Hotellet ligger perfekt i Jugendkvarteren i Riga, promenadavstånd till Gamla stan, Stockmann m.m. Rummen var väldigt fråscha och mkt sköna sängar! Frukostbuffén var också väldigt bra med stort utbud att välja på! Man får heller inte glömma att besöka terrassen på taket, magnifik utsikt över hela staden, mycket bättre än Sky bar hotell... Bakom hörnet ligger även Rigas bästa café "All cappucino". Definitivt värt ett besök!

Etter å ha bodd på et nesten dobbelt så dyrt hotell 500 meter borti gata for en måned siden var jeg spent på oppholdet på Albert. Uten grunn! Alt, helt fra innsjekk til utsjekk var supert. Beliggenheten er bra, betjeningen er proffe og vennlige, maten topp, og Loungen i 11 etasje er både koselig og, ikke minst billig. Happy hour fra 16 - 20!!! På det forrige hotellet passet ikke sengen til min kropp, sov dårlig. På Albert sov jeg like godt som en unge :) Det blir her jeg bor neste gang i Riga også!

Albert skulle vise seg å være et hotell å anbefale videre. Til den prisen vi betalte satt vi igjen med en kjempeopplevelse. Gode senger, grei størrelse på rommene, artig design på resepsjonen, god frokost og sentralt.

duktig personal, bra frukost och modernt inrett. Kanske lite väl långt från "centrum" till fots, inte ca 10 minuter som påstås, utan närmare 20-25 min. Rummet modernt, kanske lite litet och inte så välstädat ankomstdagen, men det kanske var tillfälligt för sedan städades det korrekt. Bra service och frukost.

Vi hadde et veldig fint opphold på Albert hotell men Riga i seg selv imponerer ikke lenger...

Utomordentligt bra service....ca. 10 minuters avstånd till alla sevärdheter och shopping. Lugn och fin gata.

Vi hadde fire fine dager på Hotell Albert. Betjeningen var behjelpelig, rommet var rent og vi var fornøyde!

Das Hotel Albert ist ein gutes Mittelklassehotel im schönen Jugendstilbezirk von Riga. Besonders reizvoll ist die Lounge im 11. Stock. Dort kann man bei einem Cocktail (2 zum Preis von 1 von 16:00 - 20:00 Uhr) sehr gut entspannen. Die Zimmer sind allerdings recht klein und sollten besser in den oberen Stockwerken liegen. Das Frühstück ist gut und auch das Restaurant Bestseller´s ist empfehlenswert.

Fint og rent hotell med hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale. Fin beliggenhenhet i forhold til det som er å se i gamlebyen, man må belage seg på litt gåing, men til gjengjeld er det et rolig strøk på kvelds og nattes tid. Fine barer og utesteder rett i nærheten av hotellet også. Hotell loungen i 11. etasje har kjempefin utsikt over byen. Restauranten i 1. etasje var det eneste som var skuffende med hotellet, liten meny og litt for "kjølig" stemning. Ellers kan jeg bare skryte av hotellet, billig og utrolig bra i forhold til prisen!!!
