Dorsoduro is home to the great art institutions of the Gallerie dell'Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and the landmark church of Santa Maria della Salute. However those who take the time to explore the area, and particularly the eastern section, will find some of Venice’s most picturesque squares and alleys. The area also benefits from the influence of the university with some lively bars and nightlife (rare in Venice).

Sometimes you find a hotel that is so lovely and romantic that you almost do not want to share it with the world be in fear that it will some how become too popular.The attention to detail,from the welcoming bowls of delicious gelato and cool,moist wash cloths for our faces to the lovely and intimate terrace where they serve breakfast could not have been better.We loved our room so much that i sought out the owner/designer to tell him.I would highly recommend this jewel of a property to anyone that wants to be out of the chaos surrounding St. Mark's square.

Great experience, great atmosphere, extremely high standard. Although I am very fussy, I would not be able to say a bad word about anything with regards to the hotel and its staff and service.

The hotel was wonderful from start to finish...from the welcome drinks, the lovely bathroom products, the amazing bed, to the service, location and general atmosphere. Would recommend upgrading to a concept room which really are out of this world. Would not recommend getting the speedboat to the hotel, it's pricier than hiring one outside of the hotel, and the public boat is quite an experience in itself. Would also expect free transfers given the cost of the hotel itself, but that's a small niggle considering... Book it - its a fab location and makes any holiday in Venice.

"Hidden Costs...Stuffy rooms after October 1"

The hotel is lovely and in a quiet area. Hotel promotes fact that it is 5 minutes from St Mark's Piazza. This is true BUT it costs 6.5 euros per person each way to take vaporetto across to St. Marks. Even if you purchase a 12 hr pass, it's a lot of money. It also costs close to 100 euros to get to and from the airport,(plus 30 euros from water taxi to airline desk) and 90 euros to get to hotel from cruise ships. These additional costs should be known to hotel guests prior to booking. While the breakfast room is lovely, one person sits on a sofa and the other on a backless stool for breakfast. Air Cond.is turned off Oct 1 and windows not opened because of mosquitoes, making a very stuffy room etc.

Si vous êtes à la recherche d'un hotel pour un séjour romantique CA MARIA ADELE est votre solution!!! Les chambres sont super sympas et le service extra! Dans l'atmosphère un peu écrasante de Venise au mois d'Aout cet hotel est une vraie bouffée d'oxygène.
