Barceló Premium Combe Grove Manor Hotel - Batas (Bath)

Lovely views and comfy rooms. Up in the hills over lokking Bath and good facilities. Fabulous gardens and surroundings. Bar was modern with a wide varity of drinks and good breakfast selection. Only downer was having to walk from the reception to the rooms which were in a different building. Would have been ok if we had been offered umbrellas as it was pouring with rain!

I booked a night at the Combe Grove Manor in Bath. It was in a lovely position; lovely grounds, nice outdoor pool, big indoor pool and hydro beds, gym, lessons and a spa for treatments. Lots of parking. Room was an OK size and bathroom quite nice. The standard rooms are away from the manor house in a kind of chalet block with little patios each. No satellite TV. Only problem was the sat nav and AA directions take you to an entrance on a tiny track road that is no longer used so I think they should make it clear on their website where the place is. The bar food was quite expensive and the cooked breakfast was tiny. As I was on my own for only one night I didn't really make use of the facilities but I'll definitely go back for a couple of nights with someone else to use the tennis courts. I thought it was good value. Taxi to Bath is £10.00.

Spectacular Hotel and surroundings. Grounds are magnificent as is the room I stayed in. Very nice breakfast. Only problem is very bad shower head. Would stay again

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel. Situated in the middle of a park with great views this hotel really is worth a visit. We would definitively go back there.

We chose this hotel initially because it was the cheapest deal we could find and it was 4 star. When we arrived at at a country club we were shocked. It is so beautiful, set out in the countryside, its a bit far out of town, and hard to find, but once your there its all worth it. You may be tempted not to even venture into Bath over your stay. Room was amazing. Fitness facilities second to none. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A wonderful place to stay, highly recommended

On arrival we were impressed by the location of the hotel and the views over the countryside. We had plenty of opportunity to enjoy the scenery as we drove around the hotel three times trying to find a parking space. When we got to our room it was perfectly adequate with a great view and, more importantly, a good shower. We were disappointed to find that the "Award winning restaurant" was closed. The only option without visiting Bath was the cellar restaurant but we were told that was full, however eventually they managed to fit us in. The Cellar restaurant was a throwback to the seventies with Formica covered tables and uncomfortable chairs. The food was pretty good, although limited, and deserved a more welcoming location. Overall the hotel was more 3 star than 4 star although it did have a good range of facilities if a gym and pool were more important to the guest than overall quality. Our biggest criticism was that the hotel seemed to be run by enthusiastic and friendly, but completely untrained staff. With a couple of exceptions evey employee seemed to be doing a holiday job. If this is a Barcelo "Premium" hotel I wonder how the standard hotels perform?

My partner spent an overnight stay and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was fab and conducive for romance!Will definitely go back, can't wait!Two thumbs up!
