Villa la Tour - Nica

If you can find this Hotel easily then you are a better man than me ... i drove past the street it's on 3 times before i found it! To help you it's across from McDonalds on the r/h side of the tramtracks heading away from the centre.The rooms are small but clean, there is no lift.The staff are very friendly and the continental breakfast is well worth the 8.50 price tag.As others have said - fine for up to say two/three days max - it;s not really what i'd call a hotel - more like a guest house - but well placed for the old town. There is an underground parking nearby it is scandalously priced at circa 24 Euros a day - so stay say a week at this hotel and your parking bill could easily be over 150 Euros... with Nice prices for eating/drinking out already well over normal London prices (I'd say a third more) 6 or 7 Euros a pint is normal.So it's not a cheap break. Nice is a great town tho'.

This little hotel is located in the northern part of the Old City. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and well maintained. It is easy to get to all the sites on foot and there is a tram stop 30 seconds away. Great for sightseeing, would defintely stay there again.

Very cosy little hotel. Small rooms but very comfortable with country-style decor. (Note: bathrooms are TINY with little bitty shower stalls...but clean and usable.) Friendly, helpful staff and excellent location. They were re-doing the stairway which was a bit tricky, but should be done soon. I would stay here again.

As we approached from the outside, I was a little disappointed - I realised now why there were no exterior shots of the hotel. However, on stepping into the reception area, my faith was restored. A bohemian interior, excellent friendly staff and air con! Our room was up several flights of narrow stairs (no good for those with mobility problems, I'm afraid.) Narrow corridors led us to our small, but perfectly clean and acceptable room - more to the point, 24/7 aircon (or not, if you preferred it).Whilst everything we needed was there, extras were just that - extra. Small bottles of water provided, at a few euros each. No tea/coffee making facililties. To be honest, being a stones-throw from the old town with its many cafes and restaurants, this was no big deal - we brought our own water in each evening (a a bottle of wine!). Overall, an excellent base, no frills, but somehow typically french and fitting for Nice old town. For the price, I'd certainly recommend and return to this hotel.

The hotel suited us very well, the hotel had a French feel with its own character. The room looked nice and had a comfy bed and space for seats. The staff were friendly and helped in English when some of our French understanding was a bit lacking. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but there were lots of cafes and restaurants nearby - very convenient for being in the lovely old town for evening meals. Not too far away from main town or beach but suited to peole who don't mind walking a little way along the cobbled streets, these are lined with shops and cafes so it feels safe and friendly. Check in isnt until about 3pm but as we arrived early they allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel while we went out for the day.

The Villa La Tour is a pleasant hotel well placed in the heart of Vieux Nice. The owners made every effort to make our stay comfortable. The hotel is not as elegant as some of its more celebrated establishments, but its charm and personality more than make up for the lack of luxury. You really feel like you are visitor rather than a tourist.

Great Hotel, very clean and friendly,brilliant location the old town right on your doorstep, transfer from airport minutes from hotel Room 100 where we stayed was very clean with ensuite, 103 & 203 I believe has balconies, Breakfast was included originally but on arrival we where told that had been withdrawn, so breakfast costs 8e for buffetstyle, quite nice though

The hotel was in an excellent position being on the edge of the old town and just opposite the bus station. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and a wine shop just opposite the hotel. The sea front is a 10 minute pleasant walk through the old town and the Place Massenna was quite near. The room which we had (standard tradition) was small but otherwise clean and comfortable. Good double glazing blocked out noise from the nearby road where work was in progress for the new tramline.

Et lille, men fint hotel, hvor man føler sig godt tilpas. Små værelser, og snæver trappe til de øverste etager. Men det ligger lige i smørhullet af det gamle Nice, og er let at komme til fra lufthavn via bus til døren.

Small hotel with excellent location "in the edge" of the old city. We lived at the top floor, and you cant be claustrophobic with the tight stairs that have just enough room for your suitcase. The hotel, that is actually an old monastery, is more than good enough for a romantic weekend. I actually prefer this hotel before one of the luxury hotels at the promenade anglais alongside the beach.

très bien situé à l'entrée du vieux Nice et à proximité de la gare routière , cet hôtel certes vétuste et qui nécessite qq travaux de rénovation est plein de charme et offre un accueil chaleureux et personnalisé très agréable pour qui fuit le confort impersonnel des hôtels modernes. Un problème majeur :le manque d'insonorisation ,qui , au premier étage ,vous soumet au bruit constant des machines de la buanderie. Un plus : le petit déjeuner, copieux et gourmand.

struttura vecchia ma affascinante..peccato la mancanza di ascensore..ma sembra un tuffo nel passato..retro' ma intrigante per una coppia ..ottima la posizione vicina alla città vecchia che si raggiunge perfettamente a piedi ..

Hotel an bester lage direkt am rand der Altstadt direkt beim Busbahnhof.Nicht speziel aber zweckmässig.Sehr kleines Hotel,eher eng aber speziel eingerichtet(liebevoll)Früstück sep.gegen Aufpreis möglich

Dieses zauberhafte Hotel hat den Flair und die persönliche Note, die viele andere vermissen lassen. Ich habe mich sofort sehr wohlgefühlt und und besonders das Frühstück an der Rezeption hat etwas familiäres und verbindendes gehabt. Was ebenfalls hervorzuheben ist.. die absolut zentrale und doch ruhige Lage innerhalb der Stadt und zum Busbahnhof. Ich muss sagen, einen besseren Aufenthalt hätte ich mir nicht vorstellen können und hat mir Nizza ein ganzes Stück näher gebracht. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich.

On a recu un "upgrade" par accident mais je crois que meme si on avait pas eu ca, on aurait adoré quand meme notre sejour chez Villa la Tour! Pendant la petit dejeuner, j'avais vraiment l'impression d'etre logé chez des amis. Un petit hotel chaleureux et un acceuil magnifique. J'y retourne sans hesiter.

Kleinschalig hotelletje met vriendelijk, zeer behulpzaam personeel.

Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Zimmer war leider etwas klein. Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr gut.
