Campanile Hotel Glasgow - Glazgas

My wife and I were going to a gig at the Cathouse and needed somewhere to stay, just for one night. The hotel was very easy to find thanks to the map on the web page. It has plenty of parking which is a bonus. Our welcome was curtious and quick. The room was very clean and nicely laid out. There was no trouble with noise and the room had air con alongside all the standard tea/coffee, biscuits, hair drier etc. The shower was nice. It is a stones throw from the SECC and about 10-15 min walk to the train station, shops and Cathouse. We were put off breakfast by the slow moving que so cannot comment on the food. Overall, although it is of the same ilk, i would rate it double over a travel lodge anyday.

This modern hotel is close to the S.E.C. and a few minutes drive from the centre of Glasgow. It is a budget hotel, but had everything that I required, these being free car parking, lifts(2), restaurant & bar. the bedrooms are basic but again had everything that is required for a short stay, 1 x night in my case i.e. very clean, double bed, bathroom(Shower only) with toileteries, TV, tea/coffee making facilities, maybe a bit tight in size if 2 people sharing! Self Service breakfast was £7.95(not good value)! plus the evening meal choice was limited and not brilliant, but okay! Overall not a bad choice of hotel to stay, but it would not be high on my list for a return visit!

Campanile is right on the old waterfront a few hundred yards from SECC. The room was about two thirds the size of standard Hilton rooms. It had a kettle and TV with very basic channels. Bathroom has a shower and a small selection of complimenatary soap/shower gels. Parking was included in the price which is a bonus on weekends as te waterfront can get crowded. It was the River Festival when I was there and the hotel was right in the middle. so when you got tired ou could just pop bavck for a rest. The staff were helpful and to make up for a small mix up in booking threw in breakfast. The selection in the morning was plentiful, hot/cold breakfast. Cereal and Continental meat/cheeses. Evening meal looked fine but was heavy on fish dishes. Only negative was a power point did not work in the room, but that was not a big issue.

The only down side to this hotel was that breakfast was not included in price. They did have a good breakfast available in the restaurant you just had to pay for it - not cheap. Also there were a number of attractions that were not within walking distance but the city tour bus picked up one block away. It is a great way to see the city. The ticket is good for 2 days and you can get on and off at any stop.

Not my first stay here and the level of service continues at a high level. For what is essentially a budget hotel it can be relied on to provide clean rooms, friendly staff and value for money. Excellent location near the city centre and SECC.

we had booked two rooms for six people in total. There was no problem checking in and all the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.The rooms were spotless and in very good condition. The hotel is perhaps slightly to far to walk but a short taxi ride into town. An excellent choice if attending the SECC.

Very clean room with lovelly white linens and towels. Quite basic I suppose, but everything you need for a city break. SECC and Clyde Auditorium are right next door, so easy access to events. Hotel has a nice restaurant and bar. Breakfast in the morning was all you could need with a choice of continental or Scottish. You can also either eat in the hotel of venture out with a few retaurants right on the doorstep. Room was basic but very comfortable having every thing that you could possibly need without spending a small fortune. I will definately us this one again

Staff helpful. Room clean. Had everything we needed for our 1 night stay.

We just wanted a bed for the night, but we were pleasantly surprised by the Campanile. It was easy to find from the motorway and convenient for the SECC. The room was a little small for an extended stay, but perfectly adequate for an overnight. It was scrupulously clean and tidy and we would stay again.

Had a meeting at the SECC in Glasgow which started early and finished late, so this hotel, which is literally a stone's throw away, was perfectly located, with free parking for hotel guests. Room was v comfy, but I could hear the traffic going past outside, even though I was on the 4th floor. Breakfast buffet was OK - a little bit sparse on the pastries/ bread side but had the usual cooked stuff and cereals.

good reasonably priced hotel.central location .helpfull staff and quiet at night.i will stay there again.

Have stayed on a number of occasions and found the hotel to be very good, great location for concerts and easy to get to city centre.

have had a better nights sleepelsewhere in hotels that would have cost less (if i hadnt got a cheap deal online of course) i would def not go back

the hotel service was really poor the staff in the bar wanted everybody out on dot at 11pm as they stated that they didnt get paid after 11pm very very poor service

Me and my boyfirend were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Poor television signal but that didn't bother us much. The bar area was very nice (expensive drinks though). Ordered room service and the food was lovely. Very plesant hotel!

Having seen this hotel at night time only, I was a bit dubious about staying there. I was pleasantly surprised with the decor and cleanliness of the room. Was glad of the later check-out time of 12noon. Only downside of my stay was being wakened by workmen checking the heating systems and drilling into walls in other parts of the hotel.

I chose this hotel because it is close to the SECC, where I was going next day. So convenient, and the shuttle from the airport stops less than 100m away, making for a smooth journey. Off the plane, onto the bus, off the bus and straight into the hotel! Pleasant, helpful staff, lovely clean bed, modern shower with loads of hot water, I was very happy. I will go there again.

hotel itself was lovely, food was rubbish (hobnobs n pate dont really go!) and service was very very slow!!! free parking is handy.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel, nice fresh, clean, modern rooms, friendly staff, only downfall is they only deliver room service if food is ordered, I would have been quite happy to pay a tray charge for drinks to be delivered.

Very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable bedroom and easy to access Glasgow centre (underground station 5 min walk from hotel). Highly recommended

Stayed for one night on route to Glasgow ariport. Hotel was in a good location for Glasgow centre (about 15 mins walk) and also for M8 to get to airport.

Good value for the cheap deal obtained online. Taxi to city centre about £4. Breakfast disgusting so save your £7. Best indian restaurant ever eaten in nearby. Lovely soft comfy beds.

The hotel was ideal in situation for our trip. Unfortunately the dining experience was a big let down. I should not really have used the term dining as we did not actually mange to get any food. After a wait of 35 minutes in a restaurant that was not busy we gave uo an cancelled our order. We were offered a free drink by way of apology. Another small gripe was that the following mornonig we left the hotel early and returned mid afternoon and the room was still not made up. Another pity.

My partner and I stayed at the Campanile Hotel for one night to celebrate our anniversary. We chose the hotel for its great central location and cheap price. The hotel staff were very welcoming and the reception area, bar and resturant were very presentable. Our room was decent but nothing spectacular and exactly what we would expect for the price. The bathroom was clean but there was some black mould in the hard to reach corners of the shower but it was acceptable. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel as the price is too expensive and there are far greater places to eat and drink nearby either in the West End or City Centre, both of which are only a fifteen to twenty minute walk away. For our next anniversary we'd probably try somewhere else but if we couldn't find anywhere cheaper we'd go back.

In glasgow for a family wedding, close to wedding venue, and Glasgow city centre 10mins away, great value for money would recomend this hotel to all ages, short walk from the arches nightclub

Stayed one night - very comfortable. Staff pleasant and helpful. Only one gripe - son slept on sofabed but a spare sheet was not provided and the cover had definitely seen better days.

I've eaten at the hotel before and always found it clean and the deco in nice and the staff are very good. This is the first time I've stayed at the hotel and it was fine. Our room was slightly disappointing, maybe as with ticked the box for two double beds, but we were allocated the only disabled room on the ground floor. Therefore the bathroom was nice a large but with no bath and a bit intuitional ? plain with a drain in the middle of the floor. The television picture was very poor and in the room there were some holes in the walls which were quite unsightly.

Have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and very pleased with the standard. Would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a nice quiet hotel. Very clean for 3star. Plenty of room to park car with no extra charge.

camponile is a great location for the secc, in fact weve already booked for bryan adams in october, rooms are not the biggest,but ideal for a 1 or 2 nite stay,if youre going into town for shopping,save the hassle and take a taxi,only costs about 4 pounds....theres a really good indian restarant near the hotel called indian quay,best indian weve ever had.....breakfasts at the hotel really good,but the food for pre theatre menu isnt so good, the dessert was good so...

The hotel was ok for the 1 night we had booked it for for the show we were going to see,(MAMA MIA-GREAT) but the room was small in comparison to other hotels i`ve stayed in but good breakfast although you need to pay for it and it`s not included overall a good stay

Well located, friendly staff, good rooms, excellent breakfast,value for money, lovely city with loads to do. overnight stay wasnt long enough to see all that Glasgow has to offer. Would definitely stay there again.

incredibly convenient for the SECC, but could have done without ear-splitting fire alarm at 7 am after someone had a shower with the door open!
