Goldstar Resort & Suites - Nica

The Goldstar Resort is one of the best hotels we've stayed in for a city break. The location is superb being able to walk to all the important tourist spots. It has convenient car parking -albeit expensive - but we had already checked by telephone and knew the costs. The room was clean and spacious, quiet, and the kitchenette proved to be very useful. The bed was extremely comfortable! In all a very pleasant 5 night stay.

I stayed at the Goldstar during August 2009 with my partner and 2 year old son. The hotel was everything the website said it would be. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. Our suite was spotless, comfy, spacious and the bed plenty big enough for the 3 of us, as my son decided he didn't want to sleep in his blow up bed. The pool area was also great for children as there was a large shallow area for toddlers and just over the road there was a park with a play area. A hotel in Nice with parking is also a bonus

Stayed at Goldstar from 18 to 21 June 2009. There are 3 girls in our 40s and this was our first time in Nice. We all agreed that our high expectations were exceeded - the staff were polite and pleasant at all times. The apartments were comfortable and clean and easily big enough for us. We used the sun beds in the pool area on the roof every day of our stay. Although the pool isn't huge, it was sufficent for cooling off and having a brief swim. We didn't eat or drink at the hotel. The staff called a taxi for us, got us new towels quickly when they had forgotten to put 3 sets back in and fetched a towel that had fallen out the window when put out to dry so couldn't have been more helpful. Great location for the train station and only short stroll to get coffee, breakfast and great food. We will definitely be staying here again.

The hotel was very easy to find when we got off the bus from the airport on the prom. Our room was upgraded on arrival to a junior suite. Very comfortable. The black out shutters are fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helped us with any request. The sunbathing area is great it really does catch the sun ad there is a pool to cool off in. The fitness room has enough equipment for a reasonable workout and the prom is 10km - great for a run. The location is very good only &(min walk max to the old town and is 5mins from the new towns shops and also the train station is approx 10mins away. The hotel also gives discount vouchers for the sporting beach. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in Nice.

Very nice hotel, about 3 blocks off the beach so it was also cheaper than the hotels on the strip. Had a great pool on the roof, and a kitchen in the room. (Which is nice for keeping and re-heating leftovers). We expected it to be off the beach, which is why it was cheaper than the other nice hotels, but it was also a good 15 minute walk from the old town area where all of the nightlife in Nice is. So overall, good location but would have been nice to be a tad closer to the nightlife. The rooms themselves were fantastic. They had blackout blinds in our room that were truly blackout blinds. LOVED that. The bed was way too firm though, almost like sleeping on the floor. That was the only downfall to the room in my opinion. The pool on the roof was great, and the lobby was very nice. They had a computer with free internet access, and a printer attached - which came in very handy for us. Also the wifi was free, which was an awesome perk.

My wife and I stayed in the Goldsatr on the 6th & 7th February. I had chosen Goldstar for the facilities offered and chose booking through Hotel.com for the price offered. The room we stayed in, an Ambassador suite was very impressive. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. The heat wasn’t working in the room on Friday but was fixed on Saturday. The sauna was not working when we were there, however, the steam room and swimming pool were very welcome due to the cold, wet weather. We did have a couple of complaints that we brought up with the Management, but these were resolved to our satisfaction. Would we go back - yes if we were splashing the cash.

We stayed at this hotel in Jan 09 and were so impressed with the rooms, which were newly refurbished. The small kitchenette was perfect! Dishwasher included! We could prepare a fantastic fry-up for breakfast - which was a nice change to the usual hotel breakfast. The sauna, steam room and swimming pool is fantastic - the heated pool was great, even with the temperature outside below 10 degrees! Definitely worth visiting the pool and steam room!

The location was convenient walking distance from waterfront and markets and shopping district. Clean, well maintained and quite incredible for the price!

Very clean and modern room. Beautiful bathroom and good kitchen area. Bed/bedding was not particularly luxurious. Worst factor was the noise from the street below right through the night.

Les photos ne correspondent pas à la réalité, le personnel est courtois et disponible mais la propreté de la chambre laissait vraiment à désirer avec un parquet poussiéreux et dans un mauvais état. La chambre était confortable mais parler de luxe me parrait excessif.

Fantastisch hotel met zeer moderne, nette en ruime kamers. Zwembad op het dak in super en de bediening is flexibel, ontbijten bij het zwembad was zelfs mogelijk!

Även med femstjärniga hotell mått mätt är detta hotell mycket lyxigt. Lägenheten med ett sovrum var rymligt och alla material i inredningen av hög kvalitet (marmorgolv, ljudtäta väggar, skinnmöbler, dubbla platt-tv). Det enda jag saknade i rummet var bättre köksutrustning, fanns bara två omgångar av tallrikar, bestick osv. Kaffe/tekoppar fanns inte alls. De enda glasen var två små vinglas. Svårt ha självhushåll med de faciliteterna. Hotellets takterass med pool, solstolar, bastu och gym mkt trevligt. Läget helt ok, 2-3 kvarter från stranden och ca 10-15 min promenad till absoluta centrum o shoppinggatorna. Rekommenderas!

Suitehotell med eget kjøkken og adskilt soverom. Velegnet for forretningsreisende (kontorplass med internett på rommet), men også for reisende med barn. Moderne og ganske maksuling/stram stil på innredningen. Super takterrasse med solsenger og svømmebasseng. Eget barnebasseng med ekstra varmt vann.
