The rooms were very clean and adequate. The internet access was excellent. It was about 1/4 mile from the train station and all the major sights of Florence

Absolutely terrible hotel... The AC was broken, the bed smelled horrible and the staff did nothing to help.

About a 10-minute walk from the train station. About a 20-minute walk to the city center. About a 15-minute taxi ride to/from Florence airport. Convenient to each, and a little less expensive than staying in city center. Staff friendly and helpful. Most speak English way better than we speak Italian, which was very helpful. We stayed here twice - 2 nights when arriving in Italy and 1 night before departing from Italy. Each room was larger than I expected for a European hotel. Beds were firm, which we like. Continental breakfast included an assortment of choices. They have a closet for storing luggage if you need to check out before your actual departure time.

Hotel Golf was nice - and the afternoon/evening front desk attendant (sorry, can't remember his name) was fantastic. He was excited to give information and even made hot water for tea late at night for us after the kitchen was closed (the other staff wouldn't do this and was quite rude about it). The rest of the staff was generally cold and disinterested and didn't even look over at us when we came in the front door. We stayed at several hotels in this budget range during our trip, in various cities, and while Hotel Golf was clean and simple and generally comfortable, it just lacked a charm that was present in other hotels. We weren't really happy to be going back to our room at night and we wanted to get out of there quickly in the morning. A last note: the breakfast didn't include eggs. Every other hotel we stayed in served eggs of some kind, except for this one...

Pros: Very convinient location to all attractions. Train station, Bus station and Main City Market are right next to the hotel. Free parking is a major plus. Staff speaks english and is very friendly. Cons: Black mold in the bathroom. Got bitten by some bugs can't say if it was mosquitos or the Bed Bugs.

Apart from one VERY rude staff member my experiences of this hotel were great. The hotel is affordable but still serves a fairly extensive breakfast, is clean, and is located close to both the train station, the center, and the river Erno and green parks. I liked it!

Room was small, but completely remodeled, including a very nice bathroom. Desk clerks very nice and helpful. Nice free breakfast and free internet booth near lobby. Right by the train station, but not at all dangerous, and easy walk to the heart of Florence. Way exceeded our expectations at that price.

If you need a bed to sleep in with little amentities, this may be the place. No very fancy, but close to most major areas of Florence. Plus, there was free parking, a real asset in this city. Almost no creature comforts other than a free breakfast (cereal, coffee, buns and some ham and cheese), it is not a place to stay in other than to sleep, shower and move on to the city. One final note, the hotel attendent, Luigi, was one of the finest individuals for his patience, suggestions for food and shopping, and just an exceptional person. His personal attention made our experience very rewarding with his fine advice and caring personality. Without a doubt, he was the best hotel person that we dealt with on our 16 day trip. Although the hotel was no more than a place to sleep (which is what we wanted), we would return there as long as he was still working there. Caio!

This is a great hotel for someone who worries about finding their hotel in a foreign country without paying large taxi fees. It's only a few blocks from Santa Maria Novella, the Florence train station that you can get to from any major Italian and European city, as well as the bus drop-off from the Americo Vespucci airport -- which is just 4.5 euro. Small rooms, large beds, good shower. Major sites like Duomo and the David are all within a short walk. A great example of a 3 star hotel.

We have booked this hotel after reading reviews.It really turned out to be a good decision for us.Everything about this hotel is good and also when we compare to the price,its much better.Free internet is an added advantage along with very friendly staff,especially Mr.Marco at reception,he is very very friendly and helpful. This is very close to station,around 500-600 metres.We used google maps to locate and found out to be completely wrong and ended up roaming for 30 minutes and around 3 kms.

Het hotel is dicht bij het treinstation gelegen, op loopafstand van het centrum, ca. 10 minuten lopen. Er is een afgesloten en bewaakte parkeerplaats bij waar je niet voor hoeft te betalen, erg prettig. Kamers zijn prima, met airco. Ontbijt is voor italiaanse bergippen prima.

Venlig service og god morgen buffe. Beliggenheden er central. Der var P-plads til bilen bag hotellet, det var godt

Tæt på hovedbanegården og en trafikeret gade med deraf følgende vejstøj, når vinduerne var åbne, men ellers ingen problemer - fin service og alt virkede fint og rent, meget effektiv aircondition. Jeg vil vælge samme hotel næste gang!

Positive points : close to train station and city center. Clean room. Position suitable also for arrival in car. Parking disponible free of charge, but not big enough for hotel capacity. Good breakfast Negative points : Noise from the traffic all the night. Air condition has not worked.

L'hotl si trova in posizione centrale, comodo per visitare la città di Firenze a piedi. Ha il parcheggio comodo per chi arriva in macchina e non vuole aggiungere costi aggiuntivi alla propria vacanza senza stress. La colazione è qualitativamente mediocre ma offre una discreta varietà di alimenti. Il personale è disponibile. La struttura è datata ma tutto sommato ben tenuta e pulita. Il giudizio è decisamente positivo.

Hotel Golf er et udmærket hotel til prisen i umiddelbar nærhed til turistattraktionerne i Firenzes centrum (gå-afstand). Morgenbordet dog kun gennemsnitligt.

wenn das Frühstück eine größere Vielfalt gehabt hätte, dann wäre es noch besser gewesen. Nicht alle Menschen mögen Marmelade und Brötchen zum Frühstück. Leider gabe es nur das.
