Great facilities. Great location. Staff extra charming and helpful.

The hotel is in the perfect position for sightseeing and just having a walk on Andrassy. I found the staff just lovely. I was welcomed at all times with a smile. The breakfast is not up to scratch but dining was good if you can avoid the mosquitoes.

Very close to transportation. Breakfast was wonderful. Lots of selections and service was outstanding.

Hotel is OKish - ex communist style residential building on a bust and noisy road. No way good value for money. BEWARE: they charge 16 Eur for the car park, and a bottle of diet coke, nuts and 200ml white wine - 20 Eur. WAY TOO MUCH. Hilton would have been cheaper, which is next door to this hotel.

The staff were very frindly and helpful. The hotel was in a good location, just next to a metro station. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a really lovely stay there.

One of the finest hotels we have stayed in. We were greeted with a glass of champagne at check-in, the hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the centre but this meant it was totally free of traffic noise. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and spoke excellent English. I would thouroughly reccommend this hotel to anyone.

The Andrassy is a gem located on embassy row, a couple blocks from the park. The room was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful.

First of all the hotel is very, very nice and the staff was very polite. We stayed in their basic room and it was stylish, large and clean. The hotel is situated among Embassy Row, but there are few eating and drinking options within walking distance. The hotel has a restaurant, but the price was a little outrageous, even for a 5 star hotel. If you want food options, the best bet is 2 subway stops away at Oktogon (walkable, but not something you would choose to do everyday). We had problems with the TV and there was some banging noise coming from the basement each morning around 8 a.m.

The staff was awesome - very friendly and helpful - they made accomodations for us and great recommendations! The area of town was easy access to downtown and areas to eat/drink without being in the middle of it. Very close to the Szchenchy baths and park which we enjoyed. Very clean and quiet with a nice modern feel.

Excellent, comfortable hotel in a fascinating area filled with grand old houses,many of which are now embassies. The staff is very cordial and helpful with restaurant and transportation information. If one must be in center city with traffic, etc. then this hotel is not for you. It's about 6 stops on the very good metro to the city center - taking about 10 minutes. There is also a bus stop nearby. And taxis in Budapest are not terribly expensive, as long as one uses legitimate taxis only which the hotel will call. The hotel restaurant, Baraka, is quite expensive. We found many and more interesting choices recommended by the concierges. Buffet breakfast is very good. We had a Superior class room.

This was the best hotel we stayed at on our trip through Bavaria, Austria and Hungary. The furnishings were beautiful and the staff was very accommodating.Great service and secured parking available.

The hotel is lovely and in a quiet location in the embassy area near Heroes Square. It is modern, with comfortable rooms. What sets it above others is the service. I had a very short layover and the staff arranged a Legend boat trip one evening, set up my tickets for the public transport and outlined a combination walking/tram/bus day that was excellent (based on my interests). They were attentive, friendly, and competent. The hotel is away from the Danube and tourist areas there, but easily accessed by metro or buses. Probably not great if traveling with younger children -- just because of the distance. But wonderful for any other situation.

On checking in at the hotel we were offered a glass of very nice chilled champagne which I was never offered even in a 5star London Hotel. The room was extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated, roomy and the bathroom equipped with every accessory I could wish for. The location on Andrassy Avenue is very picturesque surrounded by embassies and beautiful buildings of every description. It is perfectly located for sightseeing with Hero Square 5 minutes away and the River Danube and the Castle no more than 30 minutes walk. The staff at all times were courteous, very helpful with any "tourist" enquiries and I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great place to stay although the hotel doesn't have the pool and exercise room. Convenient location to walk/public transportation to everywhere. Great breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

I recently returned from a trip to Budapest (HU) where I stayed at the Hotel Andrassy. I found this hotel through the SLH (Small Luxury Hotel) guide. What a find. Upon arrival I was offered white wine and upgraded to a deluxe room. The front desk person offered to put me in a superior room that included breakfast. When I showed him documentation that I already had confirmed a superior room that included breakfast he upgraded me to an even larger room to apologize for their oversight. Throughout my stay I was greeted by name each time I re-entered the hotel. My room was comfortable, clean and faced a quiet tree-lined avenue just off Andrassy Street. The hotel is one block from a metro station that takes you to the center of town in about 3 minutes. The metro is clean, easy-to-use and safe. If you enjoy walking, you can walk to the center of things in about 20-30 minutes. For instance, the walk to the Opera House - also located on Andrassy Street - took me only 20 minutes at a relaxed pace. I walked to St. Stephens Cathedral in about 35 minutes from the hotel. The Museum of Fine Arts, several other smaller museums and some of the finer restaurants in town, are all in the immediate vicinity of this charming hotel. The breakfast buffet didn't have as many warm food selections as I prefer. Still, the buffet was plentiful and the staff was warm and hospitable. The Andrassy Hotel is a wonderful place from which to explore Budapest without being in the midst of the big tourists hotels. The staff, the hotel, the location all worked. I look forward to visiting Budapest and staying at the Andrassy in the future. agm+

Please note that this hotel is located in a residential/embassy area--not in the heart of town. The exterior can fool you, as well, as it resembles a 60s style apartment building. That said, the lobby and rooms have been nicely remodeled by a knowledgeable contemporary decorator, the nearest metro stop is just a block or two away (so 5-10 minutes to the waterfront area) and the staff are extremely cordial and helpful.

This is not a 5 star hotell, its defefinitly a rip off. They charge you for everything (16 € for parking and not even a garage), and at our stay they hardly cleaned our room (ok, we got discount but anyway...). If you looking for a 5 star hotel this NOT the place where you wanna go.

Velkomstchampagne. Stilfullt interiør. Romslig. Flott balkong. Nydelig hage hvor man kunne nyte måltider så vel som forfriskninger. Meget hyggelig betjening. Topp!

Helt underbart hotel. Personalen var oerhört hjälpsam och varma. Rummen var riktigt behagliga och komfortaba för att inte prata om designen.
