Park South Hotel - Niujorkas

We have stayed here a couple of times. The location is great for our needs, the service is good and the price is reasonable. The breakfast bar is appreciated.

My boyfriend and I wanted to see one of our favorite bands performing in NYC along with enjoying the city. We wanted something fairly priced and seemingly cozy. The Park South Hotel exceeded our expectations. We arrived and were greeted with smile... we came to the front desk at 1pm just to leave our bags until we could check in(which wasn't until 2pm) and they said our room was all ready to be checked in! I, myself, have been to many hotels and this is a first for me. Even when the room was ready in other hotels, I was told to come back(sometimes rudely) at check-in time. We didn't even ask if our room was ready, the lady checked it for us. The room was cozy, yet small. I'm never in need of a big room, so if that's the kind of thing you like this hotel may not satisfy you completely. Still, the room was neat and clean with no seen errors. The neighborhood was decent; there were local stores and eateries along the roads. We were able to not walk too far and get snacks, meals, and drinks. The hotel was a decent walk from our venue. I just have to say if you are a person on a budget like me or a lot of people I know, book this hotel! It meets your expectations and is hopefully worth the money you spend in NYC

Everything about our stay was fine except for our room location: on the bottom floor, with our window looking out on an air shaft. If we book there again, we'll insist on an outside-facing room.

Our room was situated just off the lobby. The music coming from the restaurant made getting to sleep difficult. Luckily, the band finished at 12:00. The room itself was dark during the daytime, with the only window facing the bottom of an air shaft. Made for good sleeping in the morning though.

The hotel had everything we needed, location, clean room, nice bed, good shower, bar/lounge, and fitness room. But I wished it was all better, nicer, more lush. Loved the bar/lounge.

I came here on a business trip and had read all the reviews. I didn't expect much from the hotel, due to the reviews, but the room I had was plenty big for me! With a king size bed, a flat screen tv, a desk big enough for a laptop, and a chair, the place was great. Maybe I got the upgraded room, but I was plenty satisfied. And if you've ever stayed in New York, you know the rooms are small, this room was huge for a NY hotel. Plus, with a complimentary (amazing by the way) breakfast, you really get a great deal. The location was great too. Pretty much right in the middle of Manhattan. I walked everywhere I went. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great service. Front desk employees were nice and informative. Room nice but small. Continental breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel. We will stay here again.

This hotel is very conveniently located, was clean and quite comfortable. The room is small but who really wants to spend that much time in the hotel room when Manhattan awaits?!

We went into the City for a to meet our daughter and catch a show, the rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable,we arrived early and were just going to check our bags , they had a room ready on the first floor, but said that they had a jazz band playing that night and unless we liked noise,they would have a room ready in about an hour, they recommened a Turkish restaurant on 3rd ave. which wasn't open for lunch, but we did go back for dinner, which was wonderful. Would stay again, the jazz music was pretty good.

The bellhop told me where I could park my car on the street. Unfortunately, it was a taxi relief stand. I got a $95.00 ticket. Needless to say I was not happy. If it were not for that I would have given the hotel an excellent review.

Attractive, convenient to 6 train, great breakfast included, near lots of good restaurants. We loved it and have already recommended it to people we know.

When you're in New York how often are you really in the hotel room anyway? The location was great, nice restaurants nearby. The price was great. The rooms (at least mine) were tiny. I did glance in a room being cleaned by the cleaning service and it was bigger than mine. So you get what you pay for. I would stay here again.

Our first time trying Hotels.com. Great place for the price. New York prices being what they are, we felt it was worth it. Cleanliness is a key factor for us, and this hotel was well maintained. The location was convenient. The breakfast buffet was set up nicely and had enough choices to satisfy most diets. Only flaw, the room was a bit cramped.

Park South Hotel was very convenient to where we had business. It was friendly, clean and had an excellent breakfast place with just the right foods. The room was quiet and clean.

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean and well kept. They were smaller, but we anticipated that in New York City. The location worked well for us, we could walk to most of the places that we needed to go. We loved the continental breakfast each morning! It was wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay at the Park South Hotel. The hotel's continental breakfast was an added bonus. It was extremely convenient to the subway access. The neighborhood was quiet. All hotel staff members that we encountered were friendly and helpful.

I love the Park South. Not only is it great value for the price, but it's in a wonderful neighborhood. The staff was polite. The included breakfast is far hardier than any other that I've had in a hotel in the US. It was closer to what I've experienced in Europe and included sliced meats, cheeses, yogurt, bagels, bread (and a toaster), and fresh fruits. My one complaint is that if you get a room on the rear of the first floor (as I did my most recent trip) you are subject to some noise from the restaurant. It wasn't horrible, but I was definitely woken up by the set up for breakfast.

I've stayed here twice in the past, so on this trip I knew exactly what to expect. I like this hotel because it is cozy and quiet, and the staff are always friendly and accomodating. The continental breakfast is adequate and you can't beat the convenience of having the 6 train right on the corner. My rooms have always been spotless, and I appreciate having a robe available. My only complaint this trip was that the housekeeper woke me up trying to get into my room, even though the "Do Not Disturb" sign was on the door. She apologized profusely, but by then the damage was done. However, this would not keep me from booking this hotel again.

The Park South Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was clean, comfortable & well appointed (it was a superior room). The room could have been a tad-bit larger, but what do you expect for NYC? Some friends stayed at another property in mid-town & they were quite disappointed with their room as compared to ours. Our only involvement with the staff of the hotel was at check in/out & they were perfectly wonderful. We did not have a chance to try the complimentary breakfast, nor the restaurant - but the food smelled great. And you can't beat the location!

Great location, next to the 6 line and just 2 stops from Grand Central. Room was smallish - but aren't they all in NYC. Otherwise the hotel was faultless.

Don't let the dingy lobby fool you. The guest rooms all have been recently renovated. Small but nice bath with slate floor, bathrobe, etc. Very nice continental breakfast. Great midpriced hotel, if the location works for you.

My experience was extremely positive from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out. The hotel was very clean, quiet and the service was extremely friendly and very responsive. Even the on street parking was safe and right near the hotel. I will be happy to stay at the Park South Hotel again inthe near future.

We checked in very late and the staff was very nice. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was a little bit small, but that seems to just be the nature of most NYC hotel rooms. The breakfast was lovely and included in our stellar rate. The location was primo!

Tiny room. Photos on web site looked far nicer than room I stayed in. Some scuff marks on walls in room. Bed squeaked and shower made whistling noise, ironing board compact size and did not lock into place. No real closet (just a upper chest area to hang a few things). Hotel needs to inspect rooms regularly. Positives -staff is helpful and hotel is very quiet.

The hotel is in a great location, especially for the lower east side. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The Standard Queen room is extremely small, which was fine for one person but would be pushing it for 2 adults. I had to ask for maintenance help twice, for the air conditioner and the refrigerator but everything was taken care of when requested. Nice continental breakfast included. Would definitely return to this hotel.

For the price and location there can be no complaints. Checked in very late, the guy at reception could have been more welcoming; but that was the only grip. Room is small but very clean; good bathroom and toiletries, even a bathrobe. Breakfast is typical continental; but good enough to start the day well. Free Wi-fi is handy(some hotels still charge $15 for that). $10 cab ride will take you to most places in New York. However better to walk as most places are that close anyway. Happy to stay again and happy to recommend.

The hotel was a very good value. Though the room was a bit small, it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The price was reasonable and the free breakfast made for an additional savings. The are nurmerous resturants in the area. If you are a walker, you are centrally located, if not you are 1/2 block from the #6 subway.

Decent hotel to stay in.

This was the third time we've stayed at the Park South. It's convenient to everything, comfortable, and an excellent bargain. The very good complimentary breakfast is another plus.

This is a great little hotel in a good area, one block from the 4/5/6 train. The room was a little small so there was no area to sit comfortably in the room. A restaurant is attached so there was a free continental breakfast in the morning and a convenient and tasty option for dinner at night. Free wireless access. Friendly and clean.

The Park South Hotel is pretty good all around. It's in a pretty good location with a lot of restaurants, food carts and shops nearby. K-town is within walking distance. The 28th St subway stop is steps away, but unfortunately it's limited to the green-6 line. I was surprised by the generous amenities for the price. The room was clean, stylish and modern, and the bathroom was immaculate. The flatscreen TV was a nice touch. One of the light bulbs was burned out, but they got it fixed very quickly. The walls were a bit thin, but not disturbingly so. My biggest complaint is that the room was pretty tiny. There was barely any room to open up two small suitcases, and hardly any storage space. Other than that, I was more than satisfied.

We did not find the hotel satisfactory to our surprise. The room was extremely small when in comparison to other hotels we have stayed at for much less in the same area.

The Park South is in a great location with easy access to all points of interest in NYC. Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable, the bar/restaurant is enjoyable, and the continental breakfast is just what's needed to get started for a long day of enjoyment in NYC.

On arrival we were greeted, and made feel we had arrived, it is time to relax. Admin preliminaries were minimal and we were directed to our room (complimentary upgrade) We were welcomed, facilitated and supported fully at all times by staff. Would recommend to anyone
