Hotel Tritone - Mestre

We stayed in more upscale hotels on our vacation over the days we spent in Italy but this one which was more modest in pricing was wonderful. The service was great and we loved the breakfast, which was included, as well as free internet. The expensive hotels gave us nothing. This reasonably priced hotel gave us more then we expected.

The room we had was roomier than other hotels in which we stayed in Italy. The hotel was difficult to find because of the lack of street signs in Genoa. The bathroom was small but manageable, and the desk staff was enormously helpful. The down side was that the room was not clean.

Great price, plus you are just a short bus or train ride to Venice. Good breakfast a nice start for those long days of walking and site seeing.

We stayed here because hotels in Mestre are much cheaper than in Venice. The hotel itself is absolutely fine with very helpful staff. And whilst it is true that Mestre is just a 10 minute train / 15 minute bus ride from Venice the trains and buses are quite crowded. Also the train/bus stations are in the north of Venice so to get to St. Mark's Square is another 30 minutes on the vaporetto. If cost is your prime consideration stay here. If convenience is important you might want to stay in Venice.

hotel was in a great location, across from train station. Room was nice size and very comfortable. Front desk was very helpful. with 21 day advance booking it was a great value for being that close to Venice.

small but clean, great breakfast

Although outside of Venice, it is only a 15 minute bus journey from the City or 5 minutes by train. Hotel staff were very helpful with their advice regarding this and spoke very good English. Breakfast was very good and variety of pastries, breads, meats and cheeses were on offer in addition to bacon and scrambled egg. Hotel now has a bar, where coffee is also available at a very reasonable rate. Room was very clean. Luggage can be left if necessary for pick up later after checking out. Hotel staff were very polite, friendly and helpful.

Cannot fault the service and the staff. The hotel was confortable and very clean and there was no hiccups of any kind.

Checked in very late (11.00pm) and there were no problems. Rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were attentive. This is a very good hotel and good value for money. The train station is opposite the hotel and a train to Venice is 1euro single way. It takes 15 minutes to get in to Venice. We were a group of 11 and everyone liked the hotel so would definately book this place again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while visiting Venice. It's perfect for avoiding the sky high prices in the city itself but still having all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. The staff speak english and couldn't be more helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable with the usual amenities included, phone,mini bar, satellite tv with some english channels. Bathroom had a shower cubicle, no bath and was spotlessly clean. Great breakfast continental, cereal, bacon,eggs juice,coffee. A bus stops right outside the front door every 20 minutes and goes direct to Piazzalle Roma takes about 10 minutes costs 1.10 euro each way and runs until 0430. From Piazzalle Roma you can either walk into Venice (recommended) or catch a vaporetto

This hotel was great. It was right across the street from the train station in Mestre. It's a quick 10 minute bus ride away from Venice, and you can catch the bus from the train station about every 10 minutes. The staff was very cordial and helpful. This hotel had offered the best breakfast we had on our entire stay throughout Italy. The rooms were beautiful and spacious.

In terms of situation, the Golden Tulip is well placed for exploring Venice. Just 5 minutes walk from the train station, with trains to Venice running every 10 minutes. Alternatively, the No.2 bus runs frequently from the main road adjacent to the hotel, and takes you straight to the heart of Venice. There is however no rail or road noise evident from within the hotel. The reception staff are courteous and efficient, with a large percentage speaking English to a high degree of competency. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and in a good state of repair, and all are tastefully decorated. LCD screen TV's in each room provide pay to view movies, and a few English speaking TV channels. Breakfast is standard continental fare, but of a high standard and plentiful. The restaurant doubles as the hotel bar, and remains open until 10pm. If you are expecting a five star super complex with an abundance of facilities, and staff waiting on you hand and foot, then you should look elsewhere. However, if all you want is a comfortable and very well run base from which to explore, this hotel nicely fits the bill. The Golden Tulip is an excellent choice. It thoroughly deserves it's 4 star rating. It is certainly not a no frills establishment by any means, and it does the simple things well. Efficient, helpful staff. Clean, well appointed rooms. Excellently situated for the exploration of Venice, and very competitively priced. What more could you ask for?

The hotel in general is a little difficult to find is conjoined with more hotels to make a hotel plaza. The parking costs were extreme and we would not stay again on that basis alone. The rooms were ok with all anemities provided but the walls are paper thin and I could hear the neighbors' tv's all night. Ear plugs were necessary for me to sleep. It is located next to the train station and is across from the bus station which I would say provided excellent service to Venice.

Hotellet ligger sentralt plassert i forhold til å komme seg til Venezia. Rett over veien ligger togstasjonen og busstopp og taxiholdeplass. God frokost. Stille og rolig hotell. Hjelpsom resepsjonsbetjening. Masse å spare i forhold til tilsvarende kvalitet i Venezia. Ulempen er buss/tog fram og tilbake, men det tar bare 10-15 minutter. Fordelen er at du blir kjørt til "døren" og slipper å slepe kofferten overbroer og langs kanaler. Strøket ellers er ikke noe hyggelig rett rundt hotellet,

Nous avons séjournée 2 nuits dans cet hotel, tout fut parfait : hotel situé en face de la gare (bus au pied de l'hotel pour aller à Venise ou à l'aéroport), calme, chambre propre, accueil très sympa, excellent buffet petit-déjeuner, accès internet gratuit. A réserver sans hésiter.

Je tiens à féliciter particulièrement cet hôtel pour son accueil, la gentillesse et le professionnalisme de son personnel. De plus, sa situation géographique est très bien pour se rendre à Venise...

L'excellence de l 'accueil, une hotesse qui parle le français, la disponibilité du personnel, la convivialité des lieux, la proximité du bus et de la gare pour Venise. Demander une chambre au 1er étage, refait à neuf, mobilier très contemporain. autres étages encore un peu "vieillot" mais très confortable et propre malgré tout.

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Stadtteil Mestre. Direkt gegenüber liegt der Bahnhof und die Busstation, wo die Linie 2 nach Venedig bzw. die Buslinie 15 vom Airport Marco Polo anhält. Das Hotel ist ansprechend und die Zimmer sind gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Bad ist klein und absolut sauber. Tgl. Handtuch u. Wäschewechsel. Am Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und volkommen ausreichend. Das Personal ist nett und zuvorkommend. Wer ein gutes Hotel sucht und etwas Anfahrtszeit nach Venedig ( ca. 10 min. ) in Kauf nimmt, ist hier richtig!

Het hotel heeft een uitstekende ligging: recht tegenover het busstation om naar Venetie te gaan (ong. 15 min), het Mestre treinstation en de ATVO bus die van en naar het vliegveld Treviso gaat (ong. 40 min). Om de hoek kan je bij de lokale bar buskaarten kopen. De kamer is klein, maar voldeed prima. De bedden zijn een beetje klein voor mensen die langer zijn dan 1.90m. Verder is het heel schoon. Wel wat gehorig voor de niet-vaste slaper. Het ontbijt is erg goed gesorteerd en vooral de scrambled eggs zijn een aanrader!

L'hotel si trova di fronte alla stazione e alla fermata dei pulmann per venezia, essendo arretrato risulta silenzioso,e' convenzionato con un comodo parcheggio adiacente, il servizio è tempestivo e cordiale, ci siamo trovati bene!
