The rooms were ridiculously small. The towels were as thin as possible. The bed was as hard as it could possibly be.

The location isn't exactly central to the downtown shopping district or site seeing locations, however it is very easy access to the trolley (Vilamos) that connects you to all the public transportation. Although the rooms are not exceedingly large they are certainly adequate, typical of most Hungarian hotels. The mattress is better than most Hungarian hotels. I will stay at this hotel again.

The Ramada Hotel Budapest is an outstanding hotel. The staff spoke English and exceeded our needs. Breakfast was set up in buffet style with a variety for every age. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The area around the hotel was good and we even walked late evening for a bite to eat and felt comfortable. The entrance to the garage below the Hotel was a tight entrance off a narrow street with a turn at the bottom of a sharp decline, but, manages well with a small vehicle. While the female staff member (only one during a week at any hour) was outstanding, and most of the other staff good, one younger male may've been tired one day but as a guest I shouldn't have to deal with someone not listening to me then throwing a tantrum essentially. We're talking a basic question, asked quite politely. Pros: Near public transportation, particulary the trams - which are great and cleaner than in some countries. Nice staff in nearby restaurants. Comfortable beds. Cons: Hotel restaurant extremely overpriced for the quality. Cleaning service left a lot to be desired. My shower (there wasn't a tub, which wasn't clarified at time of reservation) had a bad leak that kept getting my floor soppping wet, and staff was unmotivated to fix. Between my experience and watching how two other male staff members treated a nice older American woman asking for a receipt to help her rectify some travel company billing error, yet being met with a lot of attitude and doing the minimal amount to help her only after they saw she wasn't going to become unreasonable but wasn't going to just shut up and go away, the sexist attitude is really a drawback.

We were going to stay at the Ramada, but they had made a mistake in the booking and so sent us to a different hotel. However, the Ramada staff were very apologetic and made every effort to insure our transition to the other hotel, the Starlight Suites in Budapest, was smooth. As it turns out, at the Starlight Suites we had large suites, so Ramada had upgraded our reservation, probably due to their fault in the booking problem. So we had a better hotel than we would have. The Starlight was in a wonderful place downtown, with excellent staff, comfort, cleanliness, and more. We were very satisfied. So my selections below are about the Starlight, not the Ramada Inn.

hotellet ligger perfekt ift en turistferie i budapest. Lige et par minutter væk fra selve bykernen i et stille beboelsesområde. værelserne er fine gennemsnit, dog ikke særligt store(men jeg klagede over at aircondition var slået fra i oktober, og blev upgradet til et større værelse i stedet, så det var godt). Fandt en god pris for 5 overnatninger for 2000 kr., så alt i alt en god deal til prisen

Bra hotell om man kan tänka sig att inte bo mitt i smeten. Tar ej lång tid att gå eller att ta sig till hjärtat av staden med tunnelbana eller pendeltåg som finns i närheten. Dock lite dyrt att dricka och att äta på hotellet. Mycket bra service och hjälpsam personal. I området finns det annars affärer/barer och pubar man snabbt tar sig till.

Net hotel, gelegen buiten het centrum. 10 minuten lopen naar de metro, en dan 2 haltes naar het hart van het centrum. Locatie is niet slecht, maar de muren zijn erg dun! We hebben 2 nachten de receptie moeten bellen om te vragen de buren te bellen om hun tv zachter te zetten cq. niet zo luid te praten (om 2 - 3 uur 's nachts). In de omgeving van het hotel zijn wel wat leuke cafe's en restaurants/coffeeshops.

The hotel is located 10 mins walking distance from a tramstop. The hotel is clean, the beds are wonderful (and we're picky) and the receptionists were very friendly. Didnt try breakfast.

Great hotel. Real value for money. One of the better hotels within that price range
