Hilton Bath City - Batas (Bath)

Hilton Bath City is not the most appealing from the outside but it is certainly fit for purpose ie base for a good shopping & leisure weekend! Central location handy to shops, bars, restaurants, sights. We couldn't have asked for much more.

Standard of service excellent. Staff in all areas friendly yet professional. Breakfast was very good. Completely let down by comfort of beds ( still have backache) and the twin room including the bathroom was well past it 's sell by date.

Great location, very comfortable, and very good price for 4 people sharing with the buffet breakfast included.

The hotel is located close to the town centre and its historic buildings. The rooms are reasonably comfortable and clean. There is a car park under the hotel if you dont mind paying £21 a day. On our arrival the temperatures were in the high 20s and we had to fight to get the windows unlocked to cool the room. The staff were reasonably helpful and we did enjoy our stay in the end.

There was no problem at all with the hotel, friendly service, clean modern rooms, good breakfast with a most helpful waiter. But there was a function on at the hotel that night and the guests staying from the function made a point of singing at the top of their voices as they walked down the corridor (3rd floor) on their way to bed at 3am. Not really the hotel's fault, but they should reconsider accepting booking for student balls.

Location was good - excellent for getting around Bath. The room was well kept and comfortable, although a little smaller than anticipated. The bathroom wasn't cleaned as well as it should have been - odd strands of hair in the shower and sink made it a little off-putting. The random allocation of the room was disappointing - we were facing the city, although the back rooms of the hotel have views of the river -this was requested when I booked, but obviously never happened. The service was great - although we had no real demands except for leaving our bags before we check in. The breakfast was great - lots of choice. next door to waitrose was handy! I would book this hotel again.

Check-in was hassle free and lovely to have a late checkout as standard. Room was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a powerful hairdryer! Only down points were the noise from the street at night (would be better to have rooms facing the back of the hotel perhaps) and the fire alarm going off at 7.50am!

Looking forward to staying at the Bath hilton again in the future. Fantatsic spacious room, sleeping 4 adults comfortably. Wonderful view of the River Avon. Clean and tidy, superb breakfast. Lots of options and helpful staff.

With one month to book a hotel in Bath City centre I didn't find a great deal of choice. However I paid £141 for a double room with breakfast for a sat night. Location of the hotel is its key feature and was very handy. Parking was provided through an NCP car park next door to the hotel but even with a discount offered by the hotel is still pricey - £21 for 24 hours. That said - it's quite foolish taking a car into the centre of Bath, especially on a Sat and especially on a Rugby fixture day. I spent 1.5 hours in a 3 mile queue out of the city centre - and in the end had to run into the centre of bath so as not to miss my brothers wedding! So the moral of the story is don't take a car unless you travel really early in the morning. Anyway - back to the hotel - nicely refurbed throughout but for £141 I would have expected a decent size room not one which could just about fit a double bed and not much more. Didn't even have a bath in my room. Breakfast is no dietary extravaganza - but fills a hole.

Stayed for one night. The hotel is in an excellent position and the car parking is very convenient (if not cheap, £21 for 24hrs). The staff were friendly and the hotel itself was nicely turned out. Breakfast buffet was good but not the best I have ever experience. What really let the experience down was the state of the bedding (inc sheets, duvet cover and pillows) and towels. All are in dire need of renewing as visibly showing signs of wear. I would possibly stay there again but would be tempted to bring my own towels and be prepared to complain about the bedding.

The room and sheets smelt of dry curry... The staff were all Polish or foreigners and so bad at their jobs that I will not ever want to go to this Hilton... It has really dissapointed me that Hilton has been let down by poor staff and a very outdated Hotel that looks as if it is still in the 70's... Very bad, avoid at all costs... Just book a B&B if you want to stay in Bath.

I wouldnt recommend it,not good value for money,but its a nice spot

stayed for new years eve nice touch at midnight with a piper and a glass of champagne disco also till 2am,overall a good night. Breakfast fine plenty of choice.

The Hilton is in a prime situation for sightseeing. The food was excellent and most of the staff were friendly and eager to please. The receptionist was the exception and could have been more helpful.

The Hilton in Bath is a very tired hotel - I am aware that they have been refurbishing the hotel but was very disappointed in the decor of hotel for instance the bathroom roof the paint was flaking, the bath was old . In the bedroom the drawers were broke on the dressing table and the towels we were given obviously were off poor quality and the fluff destroyed our clothes. Very disappointed overall and not what I would expect from the Hilton

Slap bang in the middle of Bath and the only place that would take us for one night on the bank holiday. The recent refurb meant that the room and particularly the bathroom were spotless with every mod con you could wish for (although we had to hunt for the hairdryer!).

The Hilton Bath is in a perfect position for the city centre. the hotel itself was ok. The staff on reception were not very welcoming but just booked us in. The room was also OK the bathroom had seen better days and the tv which had an information channel that didnt work. we went out for the evening and returned at just before midnight to find the bar was closed. The breakfast was good and service in the resturant excellent. Overall a nice hotel but lacking the luxury and service you would expect from a Hilton Hotel.

Gym a joke (no kit and what was there didn't work properly), terrible stale odour in corridors which were littered with dirty laundry, non responsive staff, not even water in the rooms, cheap shower products, incompetent rooms service, dated bar/ restaurant that felt like an old peoples home. Complacent because of location and priced like a 4* when it doensn't deserve 2*. Disgusting utterly fowl.

The hotel has been completely renovated, and the rooms are very modern and clean. They aren't the biggest rooms I've ever seen in a hotel, but not the smallest either. Besides, why go to Bath to stay in your hotel room???

Hotel was really nice -we were in refurbished rooms which were really well finished with new bathrooms and a great bed. Location is brilliant, literally 10 minute walk from bath abbey and Roman baths. breakfast in hotel was great -even though it was a bank holiday and we went right in the middle of the service we were seated quickly and had great food and good service. only thing is the parking - really need to let you know how this works before you check in - you park in the "short stay" Podium car park underneath the hotel. Just collect your ticket and ignore the fine warnings! Basically the hotel has an agreement with the car park that means when you leave, they validate the ticket and you pay at the hotel desk - £19 per overnight stay - not cheap but cheaper than most of the long stays (of which there are few in any case). overall would definately stay there again - thought it was really good value for the hotel compared to what the other smaller hotels were quoting.

We chose this hotel because of the Hilton reputation, but its best kept secret was the parking. You have 2 choices 1. use the adjoining multi storey at £19 per night or 2. use the municipal long stay car park on the other side of the city at £9 per night.

We went to Bath for a girly weekend and the location was fab, minutes from the shops. We had breakfast overlooking Pulteney Bridge and the room and service were very good. Would definitely recommend it and go back again.

The rooms are clean and tidy and good value for Bath, a honey pot tourist destination. The restaurant was spectacualr with views over the River Avon, but also the city skyline.

i love bath so went on a trip by myself and while the hotel was neither good nor bad. But It was sooo expensive that I was horrified.

Hadde forventet noe mer av Hilton, men sopp på lister i bad, fuktighet. Ble fortalt at det var enkelt å parkere, men til hvilken pris. Det var dyrere enn hva en hadde trodd, man er jo ikke i London sentrum

Wir haben schon 2 Mal dieses Jahr in einem Hilton Hotel übernachtet. Und bei Übernachtungen waren sehr unzufriedenstellend. Wir reden hier von keinem 4-Sternen Hotel... Die Hilton-Ära ist vorbei... Badezimmer war wie in einem 1-Stern-Hotel.

Ett underbart hotell nära sevärdheterna i Bath, lyxigt och fint! Plus för "full breakfast" och att vi fick ha kvar rummet till kl 12 (skönt att slippa släpa på väskor hela förmiddagen). Minus för att man fick betala för att använda dator, internet, skrivare etc. och fick fråga om allting. Informationen kunde alltså varit bättre

værelse har ikke 4 stjerne fortjent, udgifter til parkering og internet meget højt, morgenmad er fint

Zimmer vollständig neu renoviert, sehr gepflegt, zentrale Lage, gutes und umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet Einziges Manko Zimmer zum Gang hin sehr helhörig
