The room was very nice and comfortable, the wine every nite was a great kick off to an evening, the restaurant in the motel was way overly priced. Only a minute walk to Times Square. The bathrooms in the lobby are a must see, a great theme for a bathroom, first time I ever took pics of a bathroom.

What I really loved about this hotel was that it was new, modern and stylish. The location is great because it is very close to Times Square, museums, theatres, great restaurants, and shopping. The hotel itself has a very friendly and professional staff. Rooms are incredibly clean and beds are so comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely be staying there again soon!

Got a very good deal on a well-appointed boutique hotel. Location is amazing-- quieter street, half a block from Times Square. Very convenient subway access. Great shower, hundreds of channels including HBO. A much better value than any major national chain. Only complaint is that the bed and pillows were way too soft. If you like a firm mattress, you'll need to look elsewhere.

Great location and great breakfast!

The Muse is perfectly located just off bustling Times Square. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfasts are great and the cocktail bar is really a cool place to sit and chat with the friendly staff or with fellow residents. Loved it and will definitely go back.

The rave reviews put The Muse Hotel on our radar as a great place to stay in the heart Theater District/Times Square. For us, it was a quick taxi from Penn Station (AMTRAK) and around the corner from Broadway and great restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the evening wine reception was a treat, and the hotel was extremely clean and quiet with a lovely decor. I highly recommend it!

We were very pleased with our stay at the Muse. We were in one room with two double beds. The room was much larger than either my husband or I expected. There was a welcome package for our two young boys- stickers, crayons, magnetic picture frame, tooth brush, and finger puppet. This sealed the deal for them! The staff was helpful and always ready with suggestions. We have recommended The Muse to our friends and family- My parents already booked their room for next week. I would most certainly return.

Was in NYC for both business and some pleasure. The Muse could not have a btter location. Its within walking distance of almost anything you want to see in the city. Rooms are a very nice size for New York, and the comfort level is a 10. Both Lauren and Jennifer (front desk) , went above and beyond for helping with tickets. It is a pleasure to stay here and will be back.

Very cool boutique hotel. Great location. Comfy bed. Great lobby bar.

Great Hotel; Great Staff; Great Room; Great Service...this hotel is amazing and the Wine Tasting at 5:00 is a great way to meet other guests and staff. Everything I requested I received; every accommodation to meet my needs was made. Rooms are surprisingly large and beautifully maintained. Although the bust of The Muse is a little over the top. The only thing in which I was disappointed was the "24 hr fitness center". It is completely under equipped to be called a fitness center but the location is so wonderful; I was fortunate I have a Bally's membership and a club 4 blocks away. I will repeat my stay with this hotel and highly recommend it.

The Muse Hotel was convenient, extremely comfortable (the beds were amazing) and the staff was outstanding. The dining room exceeded out expectations as well. The Muse will be my go-to spot to stay whenever I am in the city.

The hotel was only 1/2 block from Times Square and easy to walk to other locations. The rooms were roomy, modern and very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. We would definetely stay there again.

Great hotel renovation but no coffee maker in the room. Very incoonvenient in the AM. Great and attentive hotel staff except for room service. I was put on hold for 20 minutes on different attempts or they didn't answer the phone. I would stay at the Muse again and recommend you do too.

The Muse definitely exceeded my expectations especially for the great rates they offered. I picked this hotel based on all the positive reviews, which were dead on; and because it was close to the Gershwin Theatre. Staff was very friendly. They do a wonderful wine reception in the lobby every evening. The room was very clean and we asked for and got a quiet room in the back. It was extremely convenient to the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood where we often went to eat every night. I'll be using this hotel again!

My fiance' and I are in New York quite frequently as I recently moved from there and cannot quite stay away longer than a month. That being said, we're always looking for good deals. We found this hotel on hotels.com and I was very pleased to see it was a Kimpton hotel - we have been very pleased with Kimpton hotels in other cities. This hotel exceeded all expectations and easily became our favorite hotel in which we've stayed. (Since I've moved we've stayed in over 16 different boutique hotels). The room was MUCH larger than any NYC hotel I've seen (keep in mind that NYC rooms are generally VERY tiny) and the attention to detail in the room was quite fun. Leopard robes and chaise lounge, great desk, wonderfully comfortable and attractive bedding. For the ladies: this bathroom was clearly designed by a woman. Ledges for personal items, enough counter space for make-up, great lighting, make-up mirror, etc. As for service, I cannot say enough. The staff was polite, attentive, and fun. You will not find the extreme stuffiness you find in big-name luxury hotels, but you will find personal boutique service at its best. Location was great, central to everything, although this hotel would also fit properly in the middle of Soho. All in all, hugely recommended by a very picky, somewhat high-maintenance former New Yorker.

This smaller boutique hotel is just a half of block away from Times Square, several blocks to Central Park, and easy access to the subway. It is very nice, and very much enjoyed the wine servings each evening. All around a very good place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Muse. Lobby is cosy and just right for afternoon wine. You may be lucky enough to meet "Ginger" the adorable TeaCup Pomeranian, who is always happy to greet you and pose for pictures. Close to the action, yet quiet enough for sleeping late. Beds soooo comfortable!

We loved this hotel, we have been to NYC several times, and this hotel by far was the best. They had wine hour every evening, the location rocked, the staff was very helpful. We upgraded to a "balcony room" and when we arrived we were pleasantly suprised it was more like a terrace!!!! We will definitely stay here again!

I have been to NY numerous times and have stayed at a dozen or more Hotels...this time I had brought a friend along and gave her 3 or 4 Hotels to choose from...She picked the Muse and we could not have been happier. People were great, room was clean, comfortable, and romantic if your looking for that as well. Location was great for my business...for the non business stuff we had easy access to the theater, central park, and the rest of the area. Next trip to NYC, staying at The Muse again.

Hotel is very new, very modern, and very nice. All the employees are pleasant and work hard to be responsive and helpful. Rooms are great - very comfortable and attractive. And the hotel has nice touches, like a wine reception every evening at the front desk. Very close to Times Square, but also convenient to businesses along Park, Madison, and Ave. of the Americas. For a business person trying to get work done but in a comfortable surrounding, this is a prime choice for a hotel.

Great location for a first time visitor to NYC. Just off Time Square, the hotel is in excellent condition, the rooms were cleaned daily, and generally the room was modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Bell boys, cleaning staff - polite and helpful, front desk - unhelpful. Great hotel, except for the help (or lack of) we received from the desk staff. We were given the room card with a grunt from the girl behind the desk, no information on breakfasts, diner, checking out times, room service, nothing!! We had to ask twice where our room was, and the only reply was to point us to the elevator. We passed the reception desk at least 6 times a day on our visit, and maybe we are being a little unreasonable, but a simple good morning or some kind of acknowledgement would have been nice!!

Hotel is being renovated and there were inconveniences such as not enough working evelators to accomodate all guests. Staff very friendly; however not enough staff in the am for service with their continental breakfast offered. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Great location to Time Square, theatres, subway, etc.

The lobby is being re-done so it wasn't perfect. However, everything else about my stay was excellent. The staff was courteous, and ever-present - from the doorman to the front desk to the maids - all outstanding.

When we arrived, the hotel lobby and restaurant were under renovation. However, the staff were very accommodating and the quality of the room was outstanding for the price. The complimentary breakfast was generous and the offerings very fresh. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to a return visit after the renovations are complete.

Even though the hotel is just off times square the hotel is not noisy. undergoing renovations at the moment the restaurant wasnt open but there is a free continental breakfast every morning til 1030. the beds were very comfy and the bathroom was large (for new york) we had an executive king room. staff were very helpful and friencly at all times. room service wasnt available late at night which was disappointing. otherwise no complaints.

Upon arrival at the Muse, we discovered it's main lobby and bar/restaurant was undergoing extensive redevelopment so the front desk and entrance were a narrow corridor through a temporary door. The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and offered good advice upon request about restaurants, bars, salons etc. The room was large enough and very comfortable, the location excellent. Overall I was very impressed and would certainly stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel during New Years Eve 2008/2009. It's literally in the heart of Times Square and walking distance to Rockefeller Center, Hells Kitchen and Central Park. This hotel is situated in the perfect location! The rooms are quite spacious for a New York city hotel. And I must say, the beds are so comfortable it feels like you're sleeping on a cloud! All rooms come with a plasma screen tv. They have nice modern decor and a huge bathroom with upscale toiletries! From 5-6pm they serve complimentary wine/champagne for all hotel guests. The hotel staff is super friendly! There's nothing really bad I can say about this place except that the elevators run a little slow. There were times we had to take the staircase and we were up past the 5th floor. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place!

After several trips to NYC in the past couple of years, this trip has been one of the best. Although you don't expect to spend a lot of time in the actual room, we didn't expect to have THIS much contact with hotel staff. Wife broke her hand, and their support was TERRIFIC. The rooms were great as well, and we wound up spending a bit more time there than we expected to. We would stay here again in an instant!

The Muse hotel has been a favorite of ours since it first opened. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious for New York. The decor is pleasant with black and white styling and artistic touches throughout. The marble bathrooms feel very upscale. We only stay when there is a good special as the rates can be high during peak seasons but look forward to whenever we can get a bargain.

The hotel placed a $300 hold on the credit card we provided for "incidentals". In our experience hotels require a card for incidentals, but run the card only when incidentals are actually used. When we questioned the staff about this, we were told that the hotel supplies an unusually large range of incidentals (in addition to the mini-bar, there was a selection of lingerie with price tags in the closet) and the possibility of theft was mentioned. The hotels.com website does not mention this hold, and the staff did not tell us about it when we registered. This was a rude shock!

Very pleased with the size of the room compared to New York standards

The Muse is a excellent Hote in a central location in times square. The hotel staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and helped us with directions, recommendations on hotels etc etc. Each evening between 5pm and 6pm there was wine served in the lobby which was nice (white was sparkly wine only). The room was lovelye were unpgraded which was nice, the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in. There was only 2 minor issues, the rooms heating was not the best so it was a bit on the chilly side but that could have been due to the heavy snow storms we had whilst we were there. Also in the breakfast room each morning free tes and coffee was served from 6:30am till 9am but they had no english tea they had ran out so it was only flavoured tea which is (top my cup of tea!) but everything else was very nice. The rooms themselves are quiet internally but you can hear the noice externally of the street but afterall it is a city and it is New York. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone and we will return to this hotel on our next visit to New York.

Best location. Hidden Gem.

The Muse is just the right size; the staff is warm, friendly, and very welcoming. Our room was gorgeous: a king-sized bed with featherbed and duvet. Every object and surface, every piece of furniture was deluxe, chic, and understated (I do not like cluttered, super tarted-up rooms). We only ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant, but it was reasonably priced and the menu selections for breakfast were ideal: light and healthy, traditional, European Continental. Only complaint, our window looked out directly into a red-brick wall. Still, the lighting options (with faders on all lights, even in the bathroom) made the room seem bright and welcoming. I would return to the Muse again and again.
