Portofino Inn and Suites - Anahaimas

Overall the hotel exceeded my expectation. The Lobby was very nice and the Kids room with the Bunk Bed was nice. Pros: Price from Hotels.com was great. Cons: The room and hallway usually did not smell very good. Some of the towels also smelled.

We were attending a conference at the convention center, and this hotel is ideally located. The rooms was okay - not great, not bad. Some of the details were a bit off; dirt in the edges/corners of the bathroom. _SLOW_ internet, though all the geeks at my conference might have had something to do with it. Annoyingly, like many Disney hotels, they charge for late check out. But, overall, the rooms are clean and spacious. For the price and location, it was a good deal. If you have kids, I suspect this would be a good place. They have a pool, lots of kid-friendly amenities, and an IHOP right across the street.

hotel was nice except for the 830am wake up for house keeping. the internet cable in my room didnt work and the wireless service was the slowest ive ever seen!. took over 5 minutes just to load my home page and anything else past that was maybe 3-4 minutes per page. IS NOT "ACOSS THE STREET FROM DISNEYLAND"! you need to walk about 2 blocks down to the entrance which in this 100+ heat was not fun.

We were amazed when we walked into the room and saw how big it was. It was the best rate around Disneyland and we got a suite with a King bed, refrigerator, microwave, sofa, and 2 TVs.

This hotel was much nicer than I had expected, especially with the neighboring hotels costing as much as they do. I received a free upgrade which was nice, the walls of the room were even thick enough to prevent me from being bothered by the ice machine right next to my room. I would gladly stay there again when attending the convention center.

For the price it was fine. The appearance of the hotel and lobby are the pluses. The rooms are adequate for just needing a place to sleep. Street traffic could be heard and parking was not that great. Unless I got in a bind I probably would not stay there again.

I stayed in the kids suite, so if you have kids I recomend this suite, it is good for the money and the kids have lots of fun, it is about a 10 min. walk to disney so that is a plus too, and you only need it to sleep and take a bath so overall it is fine.

The Jolly Roger restaurant is being renovated, but there are several restaurants within close walking distance. Upper floor rooms at this hotel have better views.

Separate bedroom and sitting area separated by french doors. French doors were not kid friendly for a 4 year old and 1 1/2 year old who ran around the room (the glass could have easily broken and didn't provide any sound proof for those still sleeping). Room temperature could not be well controlled. Unable to set it on your own. Clean room and hotel grounds. Reasonable walking distance to park. Decent price for nice accommodations but willing to look elsewhere for our next visit.

the air conditioning broke down, they said it would not be fixed for 2-3 days. We had to find another place to go.

This was an amazing hotel.It was very easy for us to walk to disneyland.The only actual problems were with the electonic other than that it was amzing.

Our stay at the Portofino was a very pleasant one. The room was comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. It was located close to Disneyland as well as multiple restaurants and small markets for needed snacks. A lttle larger pool would have been nice, but since the majority of guests probably are there for a trip to D-Land.

Liked the hotel. Didn't have a fridge or microwave like the ad said, but they did bring in a fridge for us. Pool was a lot smaller than expected and always full of little splashing kids. Loved the outdoor patio. Would absolutely come again!

We will stay here again. Great location! Walked to Disneyland! Hotel was clean and staff friendly.

The kids suite was great. The kids got bunk beds and their own television. We didn't fight about what to watch. The microwave and refrigerator was a huge bonus also. We could have breakfast in the room and afternoon snack. Huge savings when you have hungry teenagers.

Great location, Great price. Very roomy and nice. A friend recommended this place and I would also recommend it. Only one complaint, the a/c was a little noisy, but I seemed to be the only one of my family to complain about the noise. Overall great!

For my husband and I, we needed a clean and safe place to stay while we were at Disney. The location was close enough for walking but after a few days of walking to and from the park (and walking at the park), our feet felt it. I wouldn't necessarily walk it with young children (not in strollers). Pros: Clean, safe, free wi-fi, comfortable, roomy, pool, hot tub, friendly staff, within a 5-10 minute (easy and safe) walk to a large number of restaurants, stores and attractions, quiet, good price (we got it on sale). Cons: No continental breakfast, small-sized pool (got busy very quickly), parking can get congested, no hotel-based shuttle service (had to share with ART and took longer, part of the reason we walked), Window views (from our room) looked directly into the hotel next to ours). Overall: If you are looking for a clean, safe and cheap place to sleep after you walk back and forth around the area , the Portofino is your place. However, for a few dollars more you can get closer locations with more amenities (free breakfast, for instance) or their own dedicated shuttle.

After doing a lot of research, I knew this hotel was not a 5 star, therefore I was not dissapointed. My husband was not impressed. The check in is very nice, somewhat deceiving of the rest of the hotel. This hotel is moderate, good for the price if you get the "discount rate" not worth the full price. It was accomodating, and had the things you need for kids, ie: refrid. microwave, bunk beds, etc. However the quality of the room is lacking. Shades torn and tapped, bed is awful, and there needs to be a table and chairs for the adult side of the room. It's roomy enough, and clean. Close enough to walk, but a long walk home after a long day at the park. 1st day we came back for a nap, and went back, but it was a lot for a 3 year old. Take a stroller. Not a bad place for the price.

I haven't been here for a while! Recently was looking to go to disney and thought about this place Oh how I have forgotten how nice it is here at this hotel. The room was spacious and smelled good! The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Just love it here!

My wife and I attended a convention at the Anahiem Convention Center...the hotel was within walking distance. Great location. The hotel staff was great as well!

We rented the kids suite for the week and were very happy with the facilities. With a refrigerator & microwave, we were able to take care of breakfast in the morning & were off & running. The kids enjoyed their own space & TV programs & so did we. When we return to the area, we definitely would stay there again.

The hotel was very close to the parks and I liked the room set up so the kids had their own bedroom with a t.v. My only compliant was that we could hear every noise from the outside and the upstairs. It was very loud. If you go I would suggest a room not facing the street

Can you believe we had to go buy soap because they run out?! The hairdryer quits the second day and they never refill the tissue box once its empty.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Porofino Inn. Having rooms set up for smaller children as well as adults is the perfect solution. One not easily accomplished, but they manage to do it quite nicely. The staff was awesome. They let us check in early and got our two rooms as close as possible. The location to Disneyland was perfect. It was also nice that there are so many different kinds of food available within walking distance. Not one of my children had a complaint of any kind. For them that is nothing short of a miracle. This is our hotel of choice from now on.

This is the second time we stayed at Portofino Inn. Both times, we've booked the kids suite because our girls love having their private space. Hotel is within walking distance to Disneyland and offers free wireless Internet access (something that my husband really appreciates). The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is they don't offer a complimentary breakfast, but there is a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. We would stay again at Portofino if we make another trip to Disneyland.

This hotel was just bad. way overpriced. Trust me. If you go to this Hotel with kids you will find out just how bad it is. The Kids Suite is not worth any more than single star dump per night. I paid lets say 4 times that. I'm very upset I made such a bad choice. Oh by the way. They have no bus service to the parks. They have no room service and on the room key there is an advertisement for PIZZA. SO very very BAD !!!!!

The rooms were nice. Nothing really jumped out and said "LUXURY" but over all cleanliness and service were right on par and for the price, you cant beat it! Id stay there again!

The Kid suite was reaaly enjoyed by our three young kids as well as by us parents. Worth the extra money.

This was 3rd stay at this property. As always, the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The first room assigned to us smelled horribly of cigarette smoke, I explained to the front desk that I was highly allergic and had asthsma, the young man quickly changed our room and upgraded us to a Kid's Suite at no extra charge. This is the only problem I have ever had at this hotel. The front desk agent was very apologetic and ensured me that he would have the room taken care of right away. The hotel is a very convenient location to Disneyland and the surrounding freeways. It's definitely our family's place to stay!!!

The hotel was fine, but not luxurious. Price seemed high for the room, except for it's oroximity to the convention center. If you don't mind the back way, it's as close as the Sheraton and almost as close the Hilton. Not unsatisfactory, but I am shocked by convention prices in Anaheim.

The hotel is ok. rooms comfortable. The rate thru hotels.com was very good. Were it not for the price, I would have been disappointed.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Portofino during the New Years holiday and it was perfect. A little walk to the Disneyland resort, but nothing too bad and definitely close enough to be worth it. Hotel is above average, not luxury, but definitely worth making the reservation. They accomodated us needed to get our luggage into the room a little before check-in.

The location and customer service are the only things this hote has going for it. The rooms we deceiving when you saw them on the virtual tour. They are not that big. Also the partitions did not work well and you could clearly see the and here the television from the other room. That left a lot for the privacy issue. The King size bed was awful. Some of the springs were sprung and very weak. There was no support at all on the bed. My husband and I slept awful and both of us woke up achy and exhausted. The second night we put the kids on the bed and we used the hideaway and it was much more comfortable. The heating unit was very loud and woke us up every time that it came on. We just ended up having a very cold room at night so that we could sleep. If you do choose to stay at this hotel make sure that you bring your own pillows! The walking distance was not too bad. Don't eat at the Jolly Roger they offer free kids meals with the room, it was one of the worst resteraunts I have ever eaten at. After 4 IHOP is kids eat free everyday so if you still want the cheap meals go there, and it is right across the street. This hotel is definately not worth the money especially for a suite. We frequent Disneyland and this is by far on of the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. We will never stay at this hotel again.

My room was directly above the parking garage and think we were above pipes. OUr last night there was so noisy we could not sleep. Management should stay the night in room 2227 and experience what we did. The room was nice, need to replace the beds, they are like Motel 6 beds and blankets.
