HOTEL GIRAFFE BY HKHOTELS - Niujorkas

We got a free upgrade to a suite, and our room was really nice. The hotel offers some nice amenities, like a delicious and extensive continental breakfast buffet, and an evening wine & cheese. We also appreciated the little touches like an umbrella to use and free bottled water where most hotels would charge an outrageous amount. The service at the front desk was nothing but friendly and helpful. The only drawback for us was the window in the restroom door which made using it a bit uncomfortable -- travel with close friends, I guess!

The hotel is beautiful, small , quiet and very comfortable. I would stay there again when I travel to New York. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Located within walking distance of several lively neighborhoods, this well-run hotel is pleasant on all levels, with appropriate perks like breakfast and afternoon service in the lobby.

Very nice in a great location. Stayed there on business and was slightly concerned about staying with 2 children, but was pleasantly surised. Spacious room, clean and excellent staff and service. Would stay there anytime and feel comfortable with the facility, staff and rate

Spent one night at here during NYC business travel. My rate was for a double room, but I was upgraded to a wonderful penthouse two room suite. As one of only two rooms on the 12th floor, it was wonderfully quiet...and the living room with flat screen was a great relaxing amenity. Daily wine and cheese hour in the lobby was great as was free breakfast. Very relaxing atmosphere. My only regret was that the weather was too cold to take advantage of the terrific looking roof deck...which was steps away from my 12th floor room. I highly recommend this place...also great restaurants on the surrounding blocks.

The Hotel Giraffe was everything I expected and a little bit more! The staff was friendly and very accomodating. Complimentary continental breakfast and free DVD viewing from hotel DVD list. I will definitely return. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

First stay in November 2005 was outstanding, the hotel was in top shape and the staff super attentive and helpful. Most recent stay in Aug 2007 was less impressive. Starting to get a little worn around the edges - literally and figuratively. The staff was helpful, but not friendly. The room was good sized and had all the amenities expected in a top tier hotel like this. Everything worked well, and the room was clean. iPod clock radio and internet connection in room was much appreciated. Time for some paint and woodwork touchup, but I'll give it one more try before I give up on them.

The Giraffe was fantastic. They really go the extra mile for their guests. Our room was fantastic, with a veranda over Park Ave. We enjoyed the wine and cheese hour, and free access to the exclusive restaurant/club downstairs. The Gramercy Park location is perfect, with easy access to midtown, Greenwich Village, Little Italy and many other cool neighborhoods. We will be back.

Room was stylish, not huge, but very nice. I would have preferred a king size bed to meet my grandiose pretensions, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice, again not huge. Good continental breakfast included, with coffee, cappucino, etc., bread, rolls, cereal, fruit, juice, hardboiled eggs. Also, coffee, tea, cookies available all day for free, wine and cheese in the afternoon. Good walking and shopping at Union Square 7 or 8 blocks south.
