Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan - Niujorkas

My wife and I spent 6 nights in the Crowne Plaza Time Square and were not disappointed. If you can cope with being in the thick of things you will find a well appointed, well run hotel waiting for you with killer beds and views - if you get up to the higher floor numbers. Staff very polite and attentive but bar prices steep. Our room was very spacious with huge flat screen telly and lots of hot water all the time.

Our 3-night stay at the Crowne Plaza Times Square did not dissapoint! From check-in to check-out, the service was top notch. The room was clean, ice machine was convenient (a biggy for me), the concierge service was wonderful. We bought tickets from the concierge for a harbor cruise, which meant we did not have to stand in the ticket line at the dock. The service desk even looked up the times for mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral for us. Our luggage was brought up promptly, and even taxi service was hailed quickly. My next NY stay will be at the hotel.

The hotel was fabulous. It was very disappointing that we got our directions from Hotels.com and they were completely incorrect and landed us in the middle of brooklyn instead of in manhattan. When we called the concierge they were not able to give us directions, even when we made it into manhattan they couldn't give us directions from lower manhattan to upper manhattan. This added 3.5 hours to our trip and made it very stressful and difficult for a young married couple with a 3 yr old and 5 yr old in the car.

Overall the hotel was great. The room is actually smaller than the website photo. Wide angle lenses do that I guess. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Just wish they had an IPOD docking station to listen to my music. Location was amaaaaaazing...right in the heart of Time Square.

While all hotels in NYC are expensive. This was relatively reasonable for an exceptional facility in a perfect area.

Great location, excellent staff, very comfortable bed, abundant breakfast buffet, awesome views of the city, and the room was extremely quiet! The only flaws were minor plumbing issues such as a dripping faucet and a slow shower drain, and the room was non-smoking but still had a little smokey smell. But these issues were very minor! The room was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep after seeing a Broadway musical and visiting Times Square. The location could not have been better, we walked to the musical and felt very safe with our surroundings.

It had a wonderful view, the room had a lot of room. The workers was very helpful. I just love it and i would stay there again

I would definately stay at this hotel again! The room was great and the location was perfect! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I did a full 3 nite prepay to get a good rate and hopefully guarantee I had a room with 2 double beds since we would not arrive until almost midnite. Even though the double beds are based on availability and there were none on arrival,the only room left to accomodate us was a room with a sleeper couch for one.Two roll-away beds had to be rolled in for my kids. It was a very tight squeeze. They did offer to pack for us and move us the following pm but we were tired/grumpy and just could not deal with any changes after the long flight to get there. We stayed in the room because of the great hotel location in Times Square and the one bathroom was good sized/modern and clean;the sleeper couch and roll aways were clean and comfortable. We were given breakfast vouchers for the 3 days in their restaurant- it had an excellent buffet. One morning a security person barged in(used a key on the deadbolt!) and scared us half to death. The desk manager told me the written number he was given was a mistake so it was their error; he sent up bottled water that evening. Overall, I would stay again.

The hotel is located right in the heart of Times Square, with one of their doors opening onto Broadway. Romantic views of the hustle and bustle below. A taste of tranqility and peace despite the energetic up-all-night surroundings. Very convenient location! Room is comfortable and clean, with plush robes and evening turn-down service. They even leave a little card on the bed indicating what the weather is expected to be like the next day. In-room safe, ironing board, and gourmet coffeemaker. Also, for fitness enthusiasts, there's access to the New York Sports Club right in the same building. So if you don't get enough exercise in the room, if you know what I mean, then you can use the machines or swim or sit in the sauna or steam room. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room and view were excellent, right on Times Square. Breakfast buffet was outstanding, one of the best we've had anywhere. The only dislike was that there was no single room control on the thermostat! We were told that the hotel system was set up so that the A/C only came on if the outside temp reached a certain level? Made the room quite stuffy, we had to open a window to get some air flow.

The staff, especially the front desk was inefficient, incompetant, and unfriendly. It took forever to check in, and this was not just us. The staff behind the front desk would furiously type on their computers for an outrageous amount of time (well over 15 minutes)never looking up, almost no conversation & would finally look at you as they hand you your key. My husband actually sat in the lounge & timed how long it took people to check in. It became comical it was so bad. The food was expensive in price, average in quality. Rooms were ok, housekeeping did not always leave clean towels. Also, the doormen were jerks. I won't stay at another Crowne Plaza ever again.

This hotel was excellent, service, cleaniness and comfortable. Location was supberb for a visitor to NY for a week - right on Times Square.

We booked this hotel for our son's birthday and from the moment we arrived, the staff was nothing but helpful! We loved the room, the view, just everything about the stay was perfect. We will definately stay again!

excellent hotel, my husband thought the room should be bigger than it was for the price we paid. I loved the lobby with the couches and pillows and various chairs and tables.

The hotel was nice but the front desk had its problems. The card keys they gave us for the first room did not work so we went back down to the desk and they were kind enough to give us a higher floor with a view. We settled into our room by 4 pm and around 10:30 pm someone was coming into our room. It turned out the front desk gave this couple the same room. Imagine the surprise we had when strangers were trying to come in. That couple was also surprised. Well the next day our keys did not work because of the mix-up so back to the front desk for new key cards. They did give us a voucher for two free breakfast buffets for the problem though.

We had four people in one room and paid for the number. We had to request the correct number of towels every day. We even left houskeeping a note with a tip and didn't get the towels. Our shower drain was very slow so you stood in ankle deep water for your shower. Each time we called to complain they said they would send up an engineer. The first time he just took the plug cap out. finally the third time they actually cleaned the drain. We had to wait in between each showr so we didn't have to stand in someone else's dirty water. They comped our breakfast for two mornings but the hotel food isn't that great!

The Crowne Plaza was a great buy for the money we had paid. The rooms were clean and comfortable, large by NYC standards. The hotel had a pool which my kids enjoyed one night when it rained. The valet service was excellent. The only point which I wished was different was check in. There were only two clerks working the desk and the line was huge - at 7pm on a Friday night. They should have had more people at the counter.

No complaints at all. Asked for a "room with a view" on check in and got 20th floor overlooking Times Square. It was very quiet could not hear traffic below. Room was lovely and beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient.

This hotel was right next to Times square, easy walk to Broadway, Rockefeller Center, and the subway. Parking is not included, and you can expect to pay $40.00 for 24 hours. But the garage is attached, and you can add the charges on to your room bill. Rooms were clean, with soft beds. Our room had a great view of Broadway. A/C was not very cold, and the sink dripped. We got our room keys, went to our room, and had to go back down and get another set of keys when to first set did not work. Restaurant is over priced, and you'd be smart to walk a block or two to anything from Mc Donald's to a deli to dozens of restaurants. Most of this stuff was minor, and a lot of a place to stay is the location, and you could not much better if you are going to see a show.

We loved our stay at the Crowne Plaza. The location couldn't be beat, the comfort of the room, the breakfast buffet,were all excellent.

The Crowne Plaza is in a great spot for being near all the theatre district activity. We were very happy with the comfort and quality of the room. It's a very nice hotel inside.

We were delighted with every aspect of our visit to this hotel. The breakfast buffet was great. We had a corner room with a view of the Hudson. The room was very nice, the beds were extremely comfortable and the location can't be beat. We would definitely recommend everything about the Crowne Plaza Times Square!

The hotel is great location close to subway and walking to central park.

We really enjoyed staying at the hotel, but we had one issue regarding the staff working at the garage. They were extremely unfriendly and even rude.

I've stayed in many hotels in New York and this is the nicest one that I've stayed in for the money. Many New York hotels are small and outdated with small bathrooms. This hotel was roomy and nicely decorated.

You can't beat the location. Walking distance to all of Broadway, Time Square, Rockerfeller Center and Central Park. The room was newly renovated and very clean. The beds were more comfortable than the one I have at home and lots of "comfy" pillows. There could have been a better way to check in. If you're early and want to precheck in don't bother to wait in line. You can check your bags down stairs go see some of the sites and then come back to check in. I waited twice in the long check in line when it wasn't necessary. If you precheck in, you still have to wait in the same long line to pick-up your keys. The staff could use some lessons on how to treat people. They weren't always the most helpful or had the best approach. We were sitting at a table in the lobby I was having a drink and my neice and her girl friend were eating cheese cake and one of the staff very unprofessionally started to yell at us that we weren't allowed to eat at this table and location. It could have been handled a lot more discreately. There were no signs saying we couldn't and I did by my drink at their bar. Other than the staff and check in we were happy with the hotel.

The hotel is located close to everywhere. Rooms were spacious, a 2 double bed is roomy enough for 4 people. M&M, Starbucks, Tkts, Fridays, Applebee's, Tads steaks, Famiglia, Sbarro and Braodway shows are all walking distance. I do not exagerate how perfect this hotel is for the price i paid. The only thing was that the house keeping people keeps yelling on the hallway at about 10 am - 3 pm when they clean the rooms, so no afternoon nap for you. Also the fire alarm went off at 4 am and we had to go down the stairs from the 32nd floor for something that was a false alarm. They did not even apologize or at least gave us a comp for whatever (free internet, movie, extra pillows,free leg massage, discounted breakfast or late checkout) would have been a good gesture. It almost felt like it was just a dream, i don't even know if that really happened at 4 am with 1 hour through my sleep, who would know. Other than that, i will come back and will recommend this hotel to anybody who is going to New York (although will ask for lower floors next time i stay...My legs are still hurting).

Newly renovated beautiful room. We were upgraded to a corner room with views of Times Square and the Hudson. Wonderful service!!

Stayed here for 5 nights with my boyfriend. It was very comfortable, rooms were spacious for New York. Beds so cozy they were hard to get out of!! We used the concierge service for booking WICKED the broadway show and we found the staff extremely helpful and convenient. The only complaint I have is that the drink at the bar was really over-priced.

this hotel was great only thing was that the check in wait time took forever and there were no rooms available when we tried to do an early check in - usually other hotels accommodate this request but i guess because of the location its always booked. on the positive side, theres plenty to do in the area to keep busy. i was impressed with the hotel rooms, decor was lovely, beds were ultra comfy, the size of the room was good..def recommend this hotel, would stay there again

I went to the city with 3 friends. The bellmen were excellent and helpful, but we did encounter some issues with staff in the restaurant when we went for breakfast. Our waiter apparently didn't realize he had a table (or wasn't told), so we waited for 15 minutes before we flagged someone down. When our waiter came, he was disgruntled and rude. Our food came out cold (we ordered, no buffet). If I were going back to this hotel, I would decline the breakfast - the food was unsatisfactory and the prices were outrageous. The room, however was great but could use a little assistance. For example, there was no card next to the phone telling us how to call down to the lobby or how to reach the bellman, order room service, etc. The beds were great, bathroom extremely clean - awesome job there. Overall I was pleased with the room and hotel, but I was very disappointed with our breakfast incident. Needless to say, we didn't go back there for breakfast the next day. I suppose that's a good thing - we were able to enjoy other restaurants in the area instead.

Not one complaint about this hotel. It was fabulous. Right in the heart of Times Square with everything at the door step. Rooms superbly comfortable and clean. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Will most definitely be returning.

The hotel is located next to the Hershey's store on Broadway and only 5 mins walk to the Rockefeller centre! Macys Thanksgviving parade passes right along it - couldnt have asked for more convenience! Hotel beds were incredibly comfy and room was a good size with a flat screen tv - no bed bugs here! bathroom also spotless with immediate hot water! only minor complaint would be no mini bar/fridge - and hotel concierge not helpful! would definately stay again

The recently renovated Crowne Plaza was great! Large rooms compared to many other hotels in the Theatre District of NY. Definitely recommend!

Although we were disappointed because we didn't get early check-in our room was definitely worth the wait. A corner room facing Times Square...it was great! The beds were super comfortable and the room was well decorated. The concierge desk was fantastic..I was able to get tickets to a sold out Broadway show and they were great seats. It was within walking distance of everything, if you decide to do a Greyline tour the main stop is just outside the hotel. I would absolutely recomment this hotel.

The staff and service were excellent. The location on Times Square was perfect for walking to the Broadway shows, and other points of interest. The Shubert Theatre was right across the street where we had tickets to see Chicago - can't get any better than that. Other Theatres were very close also. There were very good restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet at the hotel had a great variety of selections but needed improvement. The eggs, potatoes, and other prepared foods that should have been hot were cold. They did have a great selection of fruits, breads, cereals, yogurt, etc.

The bellhop got the bags out of the taxi, which was a big help. During our stay the hotel was being renovated, which was a minor inconvenience. We had to request coffee for our room three times. We were not provided with new coffee the next 2 days of our trip. The carpeting on our floor needed replacement. The benefit of security at this hotel is that you had to show the staff your room key not once but twice. If you are looking for a hotel right the heart of Times Square this is it and within walking distance of the theatre district.

The location is FANTASTIC! There was construction going on which was moderately loud during the day but it stopped every day at 5 PM so it really didn't matter to us. The only misleading thing I would say is that the hotel bar is not available. That was one of the things we were looking forward to and one of the pictures on the website that really attracted me to the hotel. I was really disappointed that it wasn't avialable but probably moreso that it wasn't communicated to us before we booked the room. I would still recommend the hotel b/c the location is SOOOO great- middle of Times Square, tons of restaurants within walking distance, tons of plays to go see on the same block: Grease, Chicago, A Catered Affair, etc. Great gift stores around the area, too. Oh yea, and the Double Decker Tour bus has a stop right outside of the hotel which is SUPER nice!

I have stayed in the Crown in the past, but will not return!! I paid full price for the inconveniance of a hotel under construction. My room was outdated and obvisouly on the list to be upgraded. I stayed in this hotel last year and some how had a renivated room, not this year!! Back to the old school. AC could barely keep up, dirtly, stained walls, stained bathroom, yuc!! For what I ended up paying i should have had a new room or a significant discount!!
