Ramada Plaza Budapest - Budapeštas

Title says it all. Staff very friendly and helpful (apart from the restaurant waiters), but the hotel charges for absolutely everything. £24 for an average buffet breakfast for 2!!. Internet usage very pricey, even charged me 300 HUF to post a postcard! The hotel is an hour walk to the centre of Pest, a HEV train can be caught 5 mins away to the tram network (Margit Hid) and cuts this down to a 10 min journey. It’s just too far out to be a true 5 star hotel. The hotel was comfortable but not luxurious in my opinion. We went from Budapest to Bratislava on the train, cost <£15 and we stayed in a 4 star which blew this 5 star out of the water.

The Ramada Plaza is a little way out of the centre of Budapest but this adds to the experience. The hotel is a true 4*+ hotel with excellent spa facilities. Getting into the city is simple, just catch the HEV train from across the road; 7 minutes later you are near the Chain Bridge and it is costs next to nothing! The hotel offers a great variety for breakfast including freshly cooked omlettes cooked while you wait. The evening meals are A La Carte or a themed buffet, resonable value for a good quality hotel. The downstairs Music Bar was a problem, no atmosphere, poor quality live music and very expensive drinks, (£9 for a Barcadi and Coke) The Spa offers a range of different temperature pools, a hot jacuzzi, steam rooms and sauna, ( which is gender seperated and very hot). The range of massages is very varied and resonably priced. On the whole the hotel was excellent value for money.

Great for the money; definitely meets 5 star rating. they offered us an upgrade at a low cost that included the Executive room, breakfast and a suite accommodation. Great food, great spa Very helpful P&N

For the price paid, this was an excellent choice in a great location. I was impressed with the condition of the hotel, the staff, and the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Budapest. I plan to use this hotel upon my next visit to Budapest. Great food, nice bar, friendly and helpful staff.

I stayed in the Ramada for 3 nights on a break with my pregnant sister. The location is a little out of the centre but we were aware of that when booking and the train stop opposite the hotel had a very frequent service to the centre so it was no problem. The hotel was immaculate and staff could not have been friendlier - we were made to feel very welcome. We both loved the breakfast, there was a fantastic range, catering for all tastes - even champagne! We ate dinner once at the hotel which was also superb - thoroughly enjoyed the live band and our charismatic waiter. Our room was quite small but spotless and very comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities and views over the River Danube. We made use of the spa facilities - enjoying a swim and sauna on most days and relaxing by the pools. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will definitely stay there again when I return with my husband.

The good things about Ramada.. Friendly Employees, nice and clean place. Rooms are OK for 2 people, but not for 3 people. I was expecting another bed, not a Cot then is full of spring! For the price I am paying, PEST hotel would save me more money! They can lower thier price for their buffet and other amenities in the hotel. Room is very clean, and quiet.. I don't understand why Europe called them satellite TV, when regular english channel is the NEWS channel. You have to pay extra to watch the movies. The train station is 5 minutes walk, but if you travel with a Senior or disabled person, better to stay closer to the PEST area. Neighborhood around are nothing to see, until you cross the bridge! My mom fell on the side of the building, due to the cobble stone. Scratch her face a bit, and the front desk are not trained to assist the customer better. They just had just the first aid kits, instead of making sure we are ok. Luckily she just have minor sore the next few days. This hotel remind me of the freeway hotel in the US, where guest they received are from the TOUR group..IN the next day, out the next night.

Had a fantastic stay at the Ramada Plaza!! True it's a little further out of town, but the tram stop right out front more than makes up for it (about 5 minutes into town on the Buda side, 10 to get into downtown Pest). Plus you have the island right out front of the hotel for lovely walks. Service was great, and the spa facilities were everything I needed! Wish I was back there right now!!!

hotel is located close to the City Center. Taxi cab ride is available.Close proximity for those who prefer the train. Overall the Hotel is coparable to American 4 STAR hotels. Nice facility, which includes a night club "Plan to Spend a lot of Forint, the local currency" Drinks are expensive..Overall the Hotel is a bargain, for what they charge !

The hotel has very good service and nice installations. But, it is a little bit far from turistic places.

Gorgeous hotel, friendly helpful staff, spa area is a great plus. Right next to tram stop. Would stay there again. Only minus point is the breakfast, which is very expensive and so we were disappointed that the hot food was in fact luke warm to cold.

Slightly out of town location but the comfort and ambience makes up for it. Suburban railway station is close to the hotel. Excellent leisure facilities make you want to stay in.

We stayed 3 nights. The hotel was great but disappointed as we thought breakfasts were included. Instead had to pay 18Euros each - good thing the breakfast was very good. Only real problem is that it is a fair way out of the town centre - 2 trams or metro trains to get to either Buda or Pest. 25Euro tax bask later at night. But if you are wanting to be a little bit out, or are really there for the thermal baths, then you are probably looking int he right part of town. Next time we'd probably stay in Pest.

In our view there are better hotels to stay at in Budapest that are equal if not better at a lower price. The area where the hotel is located is very run down and not really in reasonable walking distance of restaurants. This hotel is now owned by Ramada and they may well be experiencing staffing problems. When we arrived with our cases early evening there was no doorman or concierge to help and no offer to take our bags to the room. Not good for a four star, let alone a five star. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming as were all the staff we met but our concerns lay with the overall management of the hotel. While we were there the concierge service was 'virtual' most of the time, no staff, just a telephone in reception. Lots of waiters etc in the restaurant but not very good management as we had to keep asking for them to lay a table or to get some coffee, things that management should make sure are done. Certainly not up to five star quality but maybe as the hotel is now under Ramada management they will drop it back to a four star. Stayed four nights. Dissappointed. Will not stay there on next visit.

This hotel was beautiful, wonderful pool, great location. Staff friendly and very helpful. We had a small problem in our room and they immediately sent staff to solve it and then checked with us the next day to make sure everything was ok. We will definitely stay here again!

Bare senga var verdt turen :) Mat og drikke er litt overpriset på hotellet så det lønner det seg å kjøpe et annet sted.

Had a good stay at the hotel, spending most of the time at this side of the city, but going downtown took about twenty minutes by metro.

Alles in allem ein prima Hotel. Leider etwas zu weit weg vom Zentrum (3-4km). Spabereich ist groß, aber weist auch schon Spuren von Alterung auf...Für den Preis aber ok.

Kanon hotell, lite långt utanför men nära till metro och spårvagn så det gör inte så mycket. Lite dyrt i baren men.......

Flott hotell med bra spamuligheter, noe langt til selve byen, så man er avhengig av taxi. Rommet er ikke akkurat noe 5 stjerne, men helt greit.

Ramada Plaza er et hotel med lækre facilieter. Pool område er outstanding, og her er der virkelig mulighed for at slappe af efter en travl dag. Service i receptionen kunne være bedre. Havde en kedelig oplevelse omkring morgenmad inkl. i prisen. Jeg havde booket via Hotel.com og sikret mig, at morgenmad var inkl. i prisen - fremgik også af min kvittering. Da jeg checkede ud blev jeg charget for morgenmad, og først efter en længere diskussion kom receptionisten "til fornuft". Fik senere en undskyld fra hotellet pr. mail - men det er bare ikke professionelt at diskutere sådan en detalje med en kunde (som oven i købet har ret!).

Fint hotell med høy standard. Noe langt til selve sentrum, man trenger taxi inn. Frokosten er strengt tatt ikke verdt de 18 euro det koster. Bortsett fra dette var hotellet en strålende plass å bo. Anbefales.

Mycket bra hotell dock lite avsides från centrum men deras spa var mycket renligt och fräscht. Kan rekommendera detta varmt. Värt varenda öre!

L'albergo è una struttura moderna, accogliente con camere della giusta dimensione complete di tutto. La SPA presente nella struttura è un ottimo sfogo alla fine della giornata prima di cena, o un ottima partenza la mattina. la struttura ha a 100 metri un tram pubblico che con frequenza di 10 minuti, ed un tempo di percorrenza di 10 minuti porta al centro. Di fronte ha l'isola di Margherita dove si possono fare ottime passeggiate a piedi.

la struttura è bellissima, il personale è all'altezza della categoria e molto disponibile. Unico appunto per il soggiorno di sette giorni per due adulti la colazione al buffet è un pò cara: € 130,00.
