THE LOCATIONS IS PERFECT AND SO IS THE SIZE OF THE ROOM; HOWEVER, IT NEEDS MAJOR REMODELING OR REMOVAL OF ALL CARPETS. IT SMELLS LIKE HUMIDITY, IT NEEDS MORE LIGHTING IN HALLWAYS.THE BED WERE NOT COMFORTABLE TO SLEEP, AT LEAST THE BEDS IN THE ROOM WE OCCUPIED. IF KEPT AS IS, THE PRICE SHOULD BE LOWER.

This hotel is rundown, old, smells like cigarettes in all common areas, no ice machine, no anything. The elevator rattled and shook. The beds were hard, one bed was two box springs stacked on top of each other! The whole hotel was dirty, not just in the rooms and bathrooms. We were afraid we would catch something so we slept on top of the bedding not in it. The staff was nice but some were creepy and by staff I mean the 1 person working the desk and 1 cleaning lady. We only stayed here because the price was really low and all of the cheap hotels near Disneyland were booked. It was a short drive on the freeway to and from Disneyland though but I can not recommend this hotel for anyone! EVER!! It seemed more like an hourly hotel if you know what I mean! Not a place for families!!! Don't get suckered in by the low price its not worth it!

This place is very low-scale. The building looks and is quite rundown. Also, they have cars in the parking lot that seem abandoned. I have to say that not once did I feel in danger but I definitely wouldn't recommend this type of place if my wife and/or kids were with me. You definitely get what you pay for. ***On a positive note, the staff was quite friendly.

You need to go out and see this property I believe you will concur that you don't want to be associated with terribly run down hotel

The beds were small for 2 adults, we had 3 people in the room and thats the info I relayed on my reservation but we had 2 towels and that's it. We had to go get one more the night we got there. On the 2nd night when fresh towels were brought, again only 2. On Saturday night at 1:30 in the morning when returnging from the Amusement park there was what I can only refer to as a lady of the night walking around the parking lot. On Saturday morning there was NO hot water at all.

The room was very spacious, which was great. The view was also nice from my room. However, the coffee machine did not work and there were no wash cloths.

OK everyone, our stay at this hotel was last min, the area was very scary we did not feel safe in the hotel no towels in the room about a 10min drive to disneyland air conditoner was a fan in our room but there was free wi-fi and the room was pretty clean the bed was very bad.Ok for on a very cheap budget or last min but not good other then that......

More impressive than I expected for the money. Large rooms with decent beds and nice balconies and free wi-fi make this a place I'll visit again.

This was probably once a very nice place. The staff was pleasant.

Broken hot water pipes and cold showers. Broken elevators and 9 flights of stairs to contend with. Counter help not helpful. Would NOT stay there again!

when we saw the reviews and someone refered to it as the tower of terror. We just all said we had to go and check it out. We did not find it to be a tower of terror. We found it to be very comfortable and the staff was very nice. We were there the morning of the earthquake. Everyone one was taking care of one another making sure everyone was ok, since we were the locals we let everyone know it was not all that bad. Thank you to everyone on staff at the Plaza Santa Ana.

You basically get what you pay for. It's older, and very basic. But does have a pool and only a few rooms per floor which means its not very crowded. Approx 15 minutes from Disneyland which is nice because the traffic isn't so bad. If you're on a budget then this place is satisfactory, but if you're willing to spend a fair rate or more, then you're better off going somewhere else.

This hotel has no thrills, but it is very convenient and a nice large room. The outside is not appealing, but the rooms inside are clean and nice. For the money, it's a good deal.

take this one off the list please o'yea the only elevator broke in two different days, ONLY other way up to all 10 floors was outside stairs,,,,, but all floor doors were locked.....

reminded us of the tower of terror from disneyland.

The Santa Ana was obviously once one of the more exclusive hotels in Santa Ana at one time and understandly costs were prohibitive to keep it pristine. However the old charm, class and character remain. Look past a few tears and rips and worn paint and see a superior structure and a hotel with class. Be grateful to be able to experience this at a fraction of what it would cost if it were in perfect condition. It is charming. I had a wonderfully relaxing time and slept very well. I had all ammenities I needed. Frankly, I would still classify this 5 star in my book. Dr. A.R.N.

I was not happy with the room at all. i was bitten up and i assumed it was bed bugs so i slept on the floor. the next morning i asked if they have bed bugs and the worker said to the other guy "is that the room with the bee's?" i did see two dead bees on the balcony. we switched rooms and everything was better. i did get a refund though.

First night was a pain because there were issues with the room. The staff was very helpful to resolve the issue. The rest of the stay was fine.

The only problem that my boyfriend and i had was that there service was not all that great. We had to ask for extra pillows like four times and when they actually got them for us we had to go and get them. The day we checked in they gave us a room under construction with the bathroom a total mess, which then we had to go back down and get a new room, but they did apologize and it wasnt that big of a deal, specially since those people working that night were polite, it was an elderly couple they were nice. Other than them it seemed like they didnt care about there customers like other hotels would have. As far as the room, its a good size and good for its pay. We enjoyed our stay just hated the customer service after the first night.

The people were nice but the hotel was not comfortable and not in a good area. I could not close my eyes to sleep. I had to get a new room somewhere else.

If you are just looking for somewhere to stay a quick night, this place is good. Did not have hot water for some reason. When I called down to ask them about it, they said there is hot water and let it run a while and then try. I let it run at least 20 minutes both on hot and cold, cold just in case the hot and cold where backwards.

Worst hotel ever. The staff was horrible and so was the room. It appeared that the hotel doubled as low income housing and if it appeared that you did not belong there you got the "stare down" from the residents. The room was bad, when I woke up in the morning I ended up with a bad cut on my leg. Don't stay here, go somewhere else.

The hotel is cheap and the picture on the internet is nice. But the hotel was horrible. The elevators were broke and we had to walk up 8 flights. The room stinked and it was very unwelcoming. I dont recommend this to no one. The beds were also very hard.

This hotel looks totally different on pictures, it was a nightmare. There was no hot water,no face towels and most of the outlets did not work. We were unable to iron or blowdry our hair. The iron itself did not work and the hotel service was horrible. We were very miserable. The rooms and the outside did not look anyhting like the pictures online. If you are considering this hotel I strongly believe you should reconsider.

I asked for a non-smoking room and they gave me a non-smoking room, but the room smelled like smoke and the smoke detector was broken.

No heat, no running water, dirty, and seemed to double as a low income housing project. Elevator stopped on every floor. I suppose we were lucky that it came at all. I wouldn't stay here again for the lowest of denominations. Better off sleeping in a park, and spare yourself the element.

This hotel is rated 1 star for a reason, but I did not expect it to be as bad as it was. The room was dirty as well as the towels, tv was not working and the carpet had stains all over. I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel.

You get what you paid for..I am sure there are other hotels in the area for under $60 with real beds, real bathroom facilities and real service
