The hotel was in a great location if you are planning on visiting Disneyland. We requested a king room but got stuck with a handicap room. The shower was horrible for use by non-handicap people. I would not stay here again because of this. There are plenty of other hotels in the same price range in the same area.

Great place to rest and sleep after a day at Disneyland. Great location and great hotel.

Hotel is nice. But they don't tell you about the fourteen dollar parking fee per night, tacked right on to your total.

Our room was beautiful, very nicely decorated with a great flat screen tv. The location was great, just a short ride from downtown disney, surrounded by shopping and restaurants. However, the hotel was under construction while we were there, which wasn't disclosed when we booked on this site. Outside we had to weave through heavy construction and deal with the noise during the day. Also, our toilet wasn't working properly and when we called to report, it took hours for maitenance to come fix it. Overall, a beautiful hotel and well worth the price, I would just have liked to know it was under construction still when we went.

Reservations of our part members were lost, rooms were trashed, customer service was the worst I have EVER seen. and then to top everything off you had to pay for parking and they seemed snobby when asked about it saying "well every one in the area does that so too bad." It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and the prices weren't good enough to make up for it either.

Clean stylish room. Beds were outstandingly comfortable. Bath and Body Works toiletries, and staff was friendly and very helpful. In Hotel Gift shop and restaurant. Room service was good as well. Extremely convenient to Anaheim Convention Center, and a fantastic value for the price.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was interesting that there was no drawers to store folded clothes. The internet was almost non existant, when it was working it was very slow. Overall, I would have expected more. However, it was a great location for what we needed.

I stayed at the Red Lion during Blizzcon. The staff was nice, the beds were great, and the fridge was just big enough to fit all our cans of soda! My only complaint is that there's no fan in the bathroom. Because of that, the room gets kind of stuffy, especially if more than one person needs to shower. The extra parking charge wasn't so bad, because the hotel was so close to the convention center. It was safer overall to pay the extra for parking and be able to get to the car easily.

Beds were clean and very comfortable. In room fridge and microwave. Great way to end the days after long lines at the Disney parks. Only downside was the $14 a day parking fee.

Stayed there for a night and Disneyland trip. Nice rooms and great location. Would definitely stay there again.

The bad: Chose this hotel specifically because it had King room (reserved 2 months in advance). At check in, they had no King rooms available. Slept in 2 Queen beds for 3 nights. Lucy and Desi. Had I known, I would have chosen another hotel. They did the same to our friends who reserved at the same time (but they got a free breakfast). They did discount my parking to make up for it and give me a 'view' of Disneyland (it's really not a view of Disneyland, but ok.. fair enough I saw the fireworks one night from the room). High Speed internet was dial up speed on a bad day at best. It was super frustrating. If you are advertising high speed you need to assume everyone in the hotel will be using the internet. I was really disappointed in this. Windows were filthy... looked like 8 kids slimed them up. Ewwwww..... Response from Management was pretty 'oh well we had a lot of people online'. Water pressure in shower was awful. Took 3 times as long to shower, however the drain didn't back up which is always a plus at a hotel :-) Breakfast buffet: Overpriced... bring your antacid. Gross Gross!!! The Good: It was clean, fairly updated, good location for those heading to the convention center.

We selected the Red Lion based on Listed location and room pictures/ammenities. The room was nice and comfortable however the walk to Disneyland required crossing a major intersection. The walk to the gate is 15 minutes so be prepared for a little walk or you can buy a 4 dollar bus pass but with two children in strollers this would have been a hassle as the bus stops in fron of the hotel which is on a very busy street. The beds were great and the TV and ipod clock radions were great. The only issue witht he TV was a lack of movie channels. The bathrooms were also very nice however the water pressure when the shower was on was very poor which we made known to the front desk. The final issue we had was a non-functioning hair dryer which required 3 phone calls and over a 45 minutes wait just to have it dropped outside the door rather than someone knocking and handing directly to us.

The front desk staff were snotty, we had no hot water the first night. There were renovations going on that disturbed out sleep. The hotel required a deposit on a credit card for a pre-paid room which they charged twice, it took over a week to have the second deposit refunded. Several calls to the hotel later they finally refunded the second deposit charge to my credit card and said they would make up the inconvience to me but never called back. I would not stay here again.

We had to pay $14.00 per night for the parking while we stayed 3 nights within the Red Lion Hotel. The lady who helped us check in the night we arrived(8/11/2009) was NOT friendly at all.

The rooms themselves are extremely nice and comfortable, but guest services leaves a little to be desired. They have an on-site laundry room, but of course the soap dispenser eats my money since there is no soap in either coin-op dispenser, so I have to trek to the opposite side of the hotel to the front desk to get a refund, and while there is a gift shop on-site selling soap, you end up paying a 200% mark-up. When I confronted the front desk about this practice, he said that the gift shop is not "affiliated" with the hotel. Funny. I thought that since you lease out that space, that you would be informed on pricing and practices? Turnoff 2...check-out with only one clerk. Why not just install express check-out and make all our lives easier? I didn't have any add-ons, so i justed wanted to leave, but instead had to wait 15 minutes that wasn't necessary.

At the time of my visit parking was free because the property was in the process of installing gates at the parking entrances/exits. I suspect the hotel will start charging for parking like all the other hotels in the neighborhood. Room was spacious, modern and well-appointed. Limited television channels. The controls on the air conditioning unit is disabled. You need to access by using a control panel on the wall that looks like a thermostat. Liked the fact that there is an International House of Pancakes next door.

This hotel was great with the exception of a scheduled water shut off, which we were not warned about. We were patient; however, when the water continued to be shut off after we were promised that it would be back on, we were upset. When I called down to the front desk, I was passed from person to person for more than 20 minutes before the manager very reluctantly offered to waive the parking fee (which is $14 a day!!). Beside this trouble, there is plenty of parking (an issue at many Anahiem hotels), the wait staff is very nice, they have a great happy hour, and the rooms are nice. It is a great hotel for the price.

We were very satisfied with the room and service, but the price of the room was very expensive and we had to pay for parking as well. I felt this was extremely inappropriate.

Very nice hotel! Exceed my expectations. I definitely recommend getting the Disney view. I was pleasantly surprised by a 9:30 firework show from my 6th floor room. Lots of family's and kids, I was on business, just made me miss my family. Walking distance from CPK, Cheesecake, and several other restaurants.

Yes they do charge you a $14 fee for parking but I was aware from another review and included it my shopping price. The hotel is like new nice staff and clean rooms and common areas. It is walking distance to food and Disneyland.

Booked this hotel because of distance and rating of hotel. Hotel advertises ref & micro in each room. Our room had neither. So we called and they switched our room (after we proved the amenities weren't there.) We decided to stay an extra day and payed before we started our first day. When we came back they had no record of it and had to prove via bank statement that they had charged us twice. Also when we called down to room service for silverware, they asked if we could come get it ourselves because their staff was busy. (this was the off season and from what I could see of their parking lot, there weren't that many people there) If the custome service improves, well worth the stay and the money. Very comfortable and clean rooms.

"Great room for the money"

This was a very nice hotel, I enjoyed staying here alot. The pool area was VERY nice, as well as the fitness center. The only thing I didn't not like about it was you had to pay for a lot of things such as parking, (which is $14 a day), and to use the internet. But other than that it was a very nice hotel, and I would highly recommend it.

Overall our experience was good, the only hidden charge was the parking fee. For future guests at the hotel, budget $ 16 for parking (not negotiable).

We booked a last minute reservation. Hotel staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. One minus - the hotel restaurant was not too great. Would not recommend. Everything else was wonderful. The room size, the bed comfort, cleanliness, etc.

Have been to other Red Lions and failed in comparison. I expected more for the name. Neighborhood near Disney also not great. But for the price and location to Disney it was pretty good. Fantastic if you plan to skip parking fees.

The shower heads were very confusing and at one point could not figure out how to turn off the water. The rails on the shower were falling off the wall and the wallpaper in the entire room was peeling off the bottom near the baseboards. The beds were extremely comfortable and the large tv was nice. I was dissapointed in the lack of hot tub after walking at Disney all day I just wanted to soak my feet! About a ten to fifteen min walk from the gates of Disney or you can pay $4 for a one way shuttle there. There are closer hotels that offer free shuttles so was surprised when I found out we had to pay. It is also about a 20 min drive from John Wayne international airport parking also costs $14 dollars a day.. When I return to Disney I will probably stay somewhere else. This was a pretty average hotel expeirence.

We stayed here for a family visit to Disneyland. Close enough to walk, but also had shuttle access that was very reasonable, maybe $10 a day for a family of four. Clean, great value for the money. Kids ate free for breakfast. Stay away from adjacent IHOP restaurant, extremely overpriced.

Close to anything and everything Disneyland Area. great location, newly renovated rooms, affordable.

I was really surprised by the quality of the hotel. The picture they provided online was exactly the way the room was when we opened the door. Everything was clean and the pillow was comfortable. The soap was made by Bath and Body Works! Even the TV was flat screen. What I enjoyed the most was that exactly 9pm every night we could easily walk to Disney Downtown and watch fireworks. If you are lucky, you can get a room that lets you see it from your window. I would definitely come back here again. Not to mention, the price we paid was exceptionally awesome since we booked during the time they were under renovation. We were away all day and when we got back, the hotel made no sound.

It was very nice. except the shower was broken. and no fan in the bathroom .

it is a very nice hotel.but I was not happy that they booked a private party and closed the pool and Restaurant. they could have posted a note on the website for that booking dates,but I guess they are more interested in filling the rooms than letting the people know that amenities we pay for are closed.

It's 2 superblocks away from Disney, which is about a 10 minute walk to the front gates. If you plan to make more than a couple trips or you want to spend all day walking around Disney pay for the shuttle. It costs $4 per person for the day and runs every 20 minutes both ways (although it was 20 minutes late for us at peak traffic). Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Hotel was everything we needed. No problems.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, goo location for the price. When we asked the front desk if we could have a window facing disneyland so we can view firewroks, they were accomodating and without a hassle. Shuttle to Disneyland arrives right outside the front lobby doors every 20 min or so. Would stay at again if down in the area.

My son and I love the new rooms! The decor and comfort was fantastic, but I didn't like having to pay to park. It's a little much when the hotel charges more to park your car than Disneyland does. As much as I liked the room (and the rate was really, really, good), I will think twice about staying there again. On general principles I avoid hotels that charge for self-parking. If paying for parking doesn't bother you, I would highly recommend this hotel!

Everything very nice. I would recommend that hotel improve their in house food and beverage service. Also could use some outside vendors closer to hotel such as a Circle K or Quik Trip and a Starbucks.

Very nice and comfortable room. Newly furnished and 1 LONG block from Disneyland. Negatives- no hair dryer. AND you are charged 14 dollars a day to park in the hotel parking lot-pretty ridiculus.

Great summer discount prices. Very nice rooms and super comfy beds. Good location. Nice service.

We were very pleased with our recent stay at the Red Lion Resort. We were able to walk to Disney as it was just a few blocks away. Fresh sheets, towels and an upscale decor made us feel really welcome. Highly recommend!

The hotel itself was nice enough, nothing exciting, but it was ok for a quick stay. Our thermostat didn't seem to work very well - the room was either 78 or when we adjusted the thermostat down to 74 it dropped to 70 so we kept getting up & messing with it throughout the night. We didnt bother with calling the front desk, messing with the thermostat was less of a bother than waking the two kids to move them to another room.
