InterCityHotel Stuttgart - Štutgartas

I have stayed at this hotel before and for conveneinc and a reasonable standard of comfort it was fine. This time I was given a room without air conditioning a long way from the reception area which was very very basic. Clearly the reception staff were a bit concerned as they looked at each toehr when I checked in and spoke in German about something. I requested a change and was told the hotel wa full..given I stayed there 2 days and saw virtually no one I don't believe them!,

The staff went a extra bit to accomodate our early check in request as an exception as we had to wait for a long time for check in. Meanwhile they offered to keep the luggage as we scanned the city. Certainly recommend the place to others.

The hotel is in the central train station and could not be a better location in Stuttgart. Included in the price were "free" passes for the U bahn. We used them extensively during our stay and it was a cost savings. As for the rooms themselves, they were ok. Typical European 3 star hotel. Nothing great but not horrible either.

The hotel entrance is from the station concorse in Stuttgart's main rail terminus. It is therefore very convenient for travellers visiting Stuttgart with heavy luggage. It is a basic hotel with few facilities, however, the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was clean and the double bed comfortable. Breakfast is available at an extra charge, however I took a stroll and found a nearby cafe. I found it good value for money.

I was pleased to find a hotel located so conveniently-- it is mere steps from the train platforms and was in that respect perfect for my early-morning departure for Frankfurt's airport. My disappointment was all the more severe, then, at finding such a run-down, filthy hotel. The halls were dirty, the room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty. Bathroom fittings were of prison quality. The walls were mottled with years of stains and patches, and were so thin I could hear every word of my neighbor's phone conversations. I did not even stay the night; it was simply too disgusting. There are other, much better hotel options for similar cost in Stuttgart-- don't waste your money at the InterCity!

Situated in such an iconic building, this has to be one of the great railway hotels, it's not grand, but comfortable and efficient. As part of the station, with a glass corridor over the concourse it's a good place if you like the sights and sounds of a city centre, railways, or both; fantastic if you intend to use public transport to get about; but not if you are looking for a secluded back-street or rural idyll.

Literally in the train station yet close to the center of town, this hotel is perfect if you are coming into town by train. Not fancy but clean, remarkably quiet and the room includes free transportation on any tram or train in Stuttgart. Staff was very helpful as well, and if you are a runner there is a huge greenbelt-park next door for miles of trails. The Stuttgart train station where the hotel is has a Luftansa counter where you can check in for your flight and check bags, all just steps from your hotel.

I was very pleased with this hotel. The location was awesome for getting around town. They gave a coupon for all local transport as well. My room was 100% quiet (though looking over the top of the station). Breakfast was very complete. The staff very helpful. A great choice.

The hotel is located at, not around, the train station which makes it perfect to get anywhere. The airport is a 30 minute train ride which is very convenient. They also give you a card that allows you to travel on any public city transportation. The rooms are no-frills, but clean. I will stay here next time I travel to Stuttgart!

Who would have thought that a hotel attached to the HBf would be a "keeper". This one is - clean, safe, friendly. Finding the room is a challenge, but Fruhstuck is top-notch. Highly recommend for quick trips to Stuttgart.
