Hotel de Rome - Ryga

Only complaint is that you're right on the main stip. Great location, but at 5am, it gets annoying b/c there are still drunks running around yelling. We were on the 4th floor and needed earplugs. otherwise, i'd recommend this to anyone.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Reception staff were courteous and efficient both during check-in and check-out. The rooms are adequate in size. But overall it did not meet my expectations of a 5 star hotel. -The room was unbearably hot and there is no air conditioning - The rooms facing the street can be incredibly noisy with drunken parties singing and shouting all night long - The window in my room was broken - it couldn't be shut properly to keep the noise out -The hotel provided a fan and a room with functioning windows when I complained but did so reluctantly and with surliness unsuited to a 5 star hotel. I was not offered any help during the moving process -The amenities are sparse with soap and shower gel dispensers on the wall - cost effective but not 5 star.

Hotel de Rome, was ideally placed for our weekend visit to Riga. The staff were friendly, professional & well versed in dealing with tourists! While we were there the Ambassador to Nigeria & Korea were also in residence, showing the high quality of international standards appreciated at the hotel.

Overall I loved this hotel. However where it is located at night is very very loud! There is a McDonalds Express across the street and there is a line of about 20- 40 people from the hours of 10pm - 4am. Furthemore, there is a disco (club) right next store which causes big groups of people to stand around to all hours of the evening/ early morning. I had to leave at 5am to catch a plane and there were still people out in the square and online at mcdonalds. My recommendation would be to bring earplugs! But other than the noise factor it really is a nice place to stay.

Good hotel in great location on edge of Old Town convenient to the main attractions. Great breakfast. Atmosphere relaxed and quiet, not lively. Sauna available for private use only and difficult to book as there is no time limit for useage. The provision of a sauna for general use of all guests while retaining the private use sauna should be considered. Cost of stay in hotel considered reasonable, however dinner in hotel considered expensive.

One of the best hotels in Riga, and with a position at the edge of the Old Town. Staying here, I was able to walk to all the attractions, without using a taxi, tram, trolley bus, or mini bus once during my stay. I would reccomend the ferry from Riga to Jurmala, for a day out, this operates from May to September, at a cost of 15Lats return. The only drawback to the hotel is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms, but as I was there at the end of September, this was not a problem, and the central heating was more than adequate. The breakfast was up to normal continental standards, but as usual lacked the traditional "full english". I did not eat dinner in the hotel, as I felt that it was very expensive, although the menu looked excellent.

The hotel was a quiet but clean and friendly hotel. the staff were very helpful and the rooms very nice. The breakfast was also good. In the centre of Riga it has a great location and overall we were impressed.

room temp a bit high of a night but otherwise perfect arrived after mid night (flight delayed) gave us a free upgrade to a suite for the 3 night's ,hotel and staff 1st class

Hotel de Rome is a very nice hotel. The only thing I noticed is that the front desk spoke very little english, and didn't seem extremely knowledgable about things like the Christmas Market. I would recommend this hotel. It was very pleasent. Stay on the Park side, not the old city side. It has a gorgeous view!

Very comfortable. Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. Right in the heart of Riga Old Town. Very convenient. We will stay here again!

Sentralt hotell med svært god service. Rommene var rene og sengene gode. To små minus var en for liten tv og relativt lang tid brukt på innsjekk og utsjekk.

The Hotel de Rome is located directly next to the Old Town of Riga. I cant make any complaints about this property. Just the last renovation seems to be minimum 15 years ago. So the all in all Standart is more like a 4 Star instead of a 5 Star Hotel. But if you are able to book for a reasonable price I fully can recommend this Hotel.

Hotellets beliggenhet og service var upåklagelig. Fortjener alle de 5 stjernene det har. Stort minus var det at det ikke finnes AC på rommene, som gjør at man må sove med vinduet åpent. Med gågata rett utenfor var det i helgen bråk til kl 07.00. Fra 07.00 var det gatemusikantene som overtok. Hard seng gjorde det heller ikke lett å sove. Bra frokost :)

And deskpersonal very nice and the restaurang both nice placed on top of hotel and very good food. I also like that now I have possibilities to have bodytreatments in Kolonna SPA in hotel. I can defenitely recomend it. The only negativ is that some of the room are rather noisy.

Hotellet er veldig bra. Når det ikke gis topp karakter totalt sett, skyldes det støy fra nattelivet i gamlebyen. Velg rom med utsikt til parken.

Rent og luksuseriøst. Stille og rolig hotell med egen Spa-avdeling. Nydelig restaurant med god mat og fortreffelig frokost. Anbefales på det sterkeste. Her føler man seg virkelig godt ivaretatt.

En kjempebra rom, med en ufattelig bra beliggenhet. Rene rom, hyggelig og veldig hjelpsom betjening, god frokost og sist men ikke minst: virkelig verdt å ta seg en tur innom spaavdelingen. Den beste masasjetimen jeg noensinne har hatt.

En super Hotel, tolle Lage, tolles Ambiente

Kändes som en lyxig atmosfär i byggnaden och även servicen var mycket bra. Enda nackdelen var att vårat rum vette mot parken och en ganska trafikerad väg.

Vi var veldig fornøyd med service, frokost og beliggenhet. Ut mot hovedgaten kunne det være litt støy om natten, men det kan ikke hotellet for.

Perfekt beliggenhet. Rent, god service, fine rom. (synd byen var litt skuffende)
