Ramada Maingate - At The Park - Anahaimas

Stayed at the Ramada Maingate for the Disneyland half-marathon weekend. Was pleasantly surprised that the hotel offered a free continental breakfast starting at 3:30am to accomodate those participating in the race! Very nice! Great convenient location, good value. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Ramada Maingate for our trip to Disneyland and the Disneyland Half Marathon. The location was great and for the price it was what we expected. However, it was very dirty. After our baby crawled around on the floor, her knees and hands were literally black. I will choose one of the other hotels on Harbor in the future.

My family 2 adults and 2 older children stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in August. The Hotel is an older 60s Motel style hotel , and is fairly worn and tired. We had a 2 bedroom suite that only had 1 air con unit (1 hot room and 1 cool room) that was pretty noisy. The rooms were a decent size and clean but a bit tired. The location however, is great, just across the road from disney, with lots of places to eat nearby. Breakfast is fine (cereal and pastries etc ) and plenty of it, and pleasant to eat it by the pool. The central pool while old is clean and big for the area surrounded by a nice garden/sunbathing area with palm trees and the kids had a great time in the pool. Staff were all polite and helpful and the place is clean ,just old For a short stay if time is short (like ours) its ideal.

We stayed in a two room suite. The rooms were large, light and airy. The beds were large and very comfortable, lots of pillows. Nice pool area with tables for the continental breakfast. There were also trays available so you can take your food to your room if you wish. The hotel is only a 5-10 minute stroll to the main gate of Disneyland with several restaurants in the vicinity. The only down side to the room was that there was only one air conditioner, located in the back bedroom and it was a bit noisy as we had to run it on high to cool the front room. Also there was no elevator in the part of the hotel where our room was, so we had to carry out luggage up the stairs. But I think the pros outweigh the cons and we would stay in this hotel again if we are in the area.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this hotel while enjoying Disneyland with other family members. After reading some of the other guest comments I was a little hesitant, but found our room clean, quiet, with comfortable beds. The furniture was better than expected, and while not large the room and bath had everything we needed. Nice to find there was a coffee maker, fridge,a microwave and a hairdryer.Family members paid at least 3 times more for their hotel and their rooms were not any bigger or more luxurious. The breakfast room was indeed tiny and crowded and food choices were minimal, but for the price one could get a basic breakfast to start the day. The 5 to 7 minute walk into Disneyland a real plus.

I've stayed at the Ramada Inn several times over the last few years. The hotel is located within walking distance of Disneyland and eateries. The room was only ok bed was slightly uncomfortable never used the continental breakfast but from previous visits it was ok. For the price I really can't complain and my experience with this hotel has been good. I will be making another reservation with Ramada inn soon.

This location is very convenient to theme park

This hotel was nothing special, but it was clean and comfortable and the location was great. The staff were accomadating and the continental breakfast was a little better than average. There was plenty of parking. The beds were very confortable. The bathroom was small and I couldn't get the door to open all the way because it was hitting the shower curtain rod. The room was very hot when we first entered and it took a while for the air conditioning unit to cool the room. The pool was nice but the jacuzzi water appeared yellow. Overall though a good value for the price. We would definitely stay there again.

The location is great if attending Disneyland. Many other attractions close by. A great selection of eating places.

Located in easy walking distance from Disneyland, convention center, and restaurants. The pool was well cared for (although smaller than I expected from the pictures) and the rooms were kept clean. Staff was friendly, but not super helpful. You do save a lot on parking though as you can walk every place once you get there. Downside: Had a two bedroom suite which is way too small for two adults and two kids, there is no room to walk and the bathroom fits one. Room and furniture were old and the airconditioner (only in the back room) could barely keep both rooms cool (couldn't at all if you closed the back bedroom door, but then again you would also be closing off the bathroom). When not dead-bolted, for example when we left the room, the door left a crack open and seemed like someone could force it open if they wanted to. Sound proofing was not good (in general and because of the problem mentioned with the door) and because the cars park right in front of the downstairs units (nice for loading and unloading) if a car alarm accidently went off you are sure to hear it. Could be a great property but needs a lot of work. I would stay at a newer hotel like the Embassy Suites next time.

My two daughters, ages 6 and 9, and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Ramada Inn Maingate. We have stayed at other area hotels, and we are annual passport holders at Disneyland. I did a fair amount of research for this trip, finally settling on the Ramada based on price, amenities and location. I was also impressed that Lisa, the Ramada manager took the time to personally respond to many of the reviews posted on TripAdvisor. CHECK-IN/FRONT DESK/PARKING On our first day, we arrived before park opening (8 AM) and were given the option of placing our luggage in the office, or leaving it in the car. We opted for the latter. We were given a parking pass and we then went to the park and came back at 3:00, when we were told the room would be ready. It was. Ozzie at the front desk was tremendously helpful as was Maria and, of course Lisa, the Ramada manager. Check-in was quick, efficient and friendly-we really liked the staff. The parking lot was full (it WAS the middle of summer, for cryin’ out loud), but we never had a problem finding a spot near our room. Parking is FREE (it is NOT at many of the area hotels…). THE ROOM We had initially booked a room for 3 nights, but had such a great time that we decided to extend our stay. Since the room we were in was already booked for the last night of our stay, Lisa helped us with another room in a different area of the hotel. I was worried that we would have a real problem with the rate for our last night-since we booked it on basically zero notice and the hotel looked to be full, but Lisa did a fantastic job accommodating us and we were pleased with the rate that she found for us. The first room (room 245) was a 2 room suite with 2 “hotel queen” beds and was at the back of the property. It had a small kitchenette area with a “wet-bar” type sink, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and basic dishes and utensils. It was great to be so close to the park entrance. We took a break in the middle of the day, and went back to the room to rest. Recharged, we stormed the park until closing time! The continental breakfast was better than expected, and the lady at the front desk was soooo very nice and helpful. Thanks, Lisa!

Don't be fooled by the front desk people with smile....you will not get an early check in, not even by 30 min. When they tell you breakfast is from 6:30-10, they lie its until 9:30 and you will not even be allowed to have and orange that you can see thru the window. Parking and the walk to Disney were the best parts. I'll stay somewhere else next time

I take a trip to Disneyland 2 or 3 times a year. I have stayed at many of the hotels close to the park, but none better than this one. I arrived a couple hours before check in, but they let me get all the paper work done so at check in time, I could just get my key and head to my room. The front desk called about 15 minutes after I had been there to ask how everything was, and if there was anything I needed. The bed was perfect, and the pillows were thick, instead of that paper thin kind you get at most places. Denny's and Tony Romas were right next door, plus a few other places in walking distance. I will never stay at any other hotel other than Ramada Maingate at The Park again. This is the best place around.

Great location for Disneyland visitors and great that hotel offers free parking!

The location of this hotel was great, but the room itself was not so great. My husband, my 3 year old, and I stayed in the 2 double-bed room and it was extremely cramped. We visited Disneyland last year and stayed nearby for the same price and it was a palace compared to this. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

We stayed in the queen mini suite room and the bathroom is located in the second room. So, if the people staying in the first room need to go to the bathroom they need to bother the people in the other room. I would reccommend getting 2 rooms.

We stayed at Ramada-Maingate for my sister's birthday visit to Disneyland (July 25). This hotel room was not what I expected. It was obvious that a wall had been knocked down to create two rooms. The added room had a very low ceiling, and was dark with no real window to the outside. Worse of all the toilet got clogged, not once, but twice the next morning, so we decided we would leave instead of hanging around a while. We did have the continental breakfast, which was a mad rush for kitchen the side of a large walk in closet. There was barely room to move around with three of their staff making it almost impossible to move. The food was okay, but not very healthy...donuts, etc. There was no place to sit but around the pool, where there were a limited number of tables and chairs. Most people just gave up and took their food back to their room. I will not recommend this place to anyone. It was not worth the cost.

Very average hotel, we stayed in the jacuzi suit and it didn't even work and the rooms need a heavy remodel job, very early 1990's decor like a motel 6.

Lovely facility. Big Rooms! Awesome Pool!

Paid a decent amount for a "King Jacuzzi Suite," but instead got a small room with a broken down jacuzzi/tub, that ran out of hot water after just a few minutes! Location is great, right across from DIsney, but other than convenience, can't say there was any comfort in spending the night there.

very close to both disneyland resorts (10 min walk to main gate), nice pool, plenty of parking. room was just ok, big room but small windows so real dark and gloomy but hey we only slept there because we were there for disney. breakfast was very basic and not really an extra that should sway your decision to stay here. rooms could do with an update in general. Overall, its just ok if you are looking for convenience and location rather than stawberries on your pillows.

Sometimes when you book through these discount services, I feel since you paid less you get the lesser rooms. I arrived 20 minutes early and had to wait for the 3pm check in time. Then I had to wait until my room was clean. The room was clean and large, but the bathroom was small and awkward. My room was in the very front, detached from the other rooms, with a small stairway that led to my door upstairs. The marque sign was opposite my room and the office right across. Right underneath me, they rented motorized scooter's. The breakfast was anything but, just coffee some danishes and three choices of cereal, tucked behind the pool room. There were no tables available, so you had to eat by the pool on the few tables they had. Luckily I woke up early and the sun was not beating down overhead. I guess I was lucky I spent only one night there.

This hotel was great- super clean, friendly staff, great price. It is literally 1 block from Disneyland, which was great for us because we have kids. We napped in the middle of the day, then walked back across the street for more fun. The price was perfect in comparison to others that were further away. I would absolutely reccommend this hotel to anyone. On top of that, there is a store and small restauraunt at the bottom of the staircase, and tons of restaurants on that stretch. Overall- Perfect for us! And the swan-shaped towels were cute too :)

The room smelled badly and we didn't feel comfortable letting our children into the room. We didn't stay and had to go find a different hotel at midnight and ended up paying for both hotel rooms for the one night.

We checked in and were told we would be upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi. Toilet stopped up; we called and about 1/2 hour later fixed it ourselves. Jacuzzi didn't work. Complimentary breakfast held in a room the size of a closet...not much there and very hard to get in to take advantage of. Very easy walk to Disneyland, though.

Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The amenities, coffee shop, free breakfast, store and surrounding restaurants were great. Biggest bonus, it's a short walk to Disneyland. We had a king delux room which was roomy, clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was in the back corner of the hotel, and pretty quiet for such a busy place. My daughter's room was towards the front of the hotel. It was a standard room with two queen beds. It was small and cramped, considering all their stuff for a 3-day stay, including a pak-n-play and stroller. We couldn't get on the internet at all from ouor room at the back of the hotel. My daughter, on the other hand, had no problem. If the internet is a big decision maker for you, request a room near the office.

I was disappointed because I ordered a family suite because the pictures showed a very nice, big room. I should have just gotten the double room because the family room was very small and not worth it. It didn't look like the picture at all. Overall, it was adequate-nothing special.

A short walk to Disneyland. friendly staff, pizza place and little store right on site. Tony Roma's right next door. The only down side to our stay was that our room had a funny smell.

This hotel is a good choice for people who ever looks for Medium range hotel though I still feel that the price is little bit more compared to others with similar services and comforts. The main advantage is, it is very nearer to park. And the thing I appreciate is the continental breakfast and people serving there. They are very nice and very patient. The room cleanliness is very good and maintenance is also very good.Only the comfortors are little bit inconvenient in color and texture. I recommend this hotel for the people who spends time for visiting places and use hotel for staying only, rather using the hotel facilities like pool/spa etc.. And the bath tub is very small, so I find it difficult to bath my one year old kid.

The people that work at the Ramada Maingate at the Park are very pleasant and willing to help you with any problems. It is walking distance from Disneyland. Not the closest Hotel to DL, but worth the little extra walk.

The location of the hotel and the cleanliness of the room were excellent. My only issue is the pool is kept too cold and closes too early. Soaking in the hot tub after visiting Disneyland in the evening would have been the perfect end to a perfect day.

I booked this hotel because it was close to Dinsney. What a pleasant surprise. The property was well taken care of, the staff helpful and the room clean and comfy. A easy walk to Disney and several restaurants. We would stay again.

The location of the hotel is great, it's a short walk to the enterance of the Disneyland Park as advertised. And the staff was very pleasant and the room was clean. We were upgraded to a jacuzzi suite, however the bathroom and the jacuzzi tub were not what I was expecting. However, I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

the hotel was clean and close to the park. the AC worked perfectly, the bed was comfortable. we had a little trouble operating the jacuzzi but we finally figured it out. the staff were very nice and helpful and their breakfast was ok.

This is a good hotel and great location. The room was clean and comfortable. It's not the fanciest hotel, but given the romm rates it was what we expected. The pool was good. The breakfast was OK, standard hotel breakfast. The location is a very short walk to Disneyland. Easy to get back to if your kids need a nap.

Free breakfast, internet, heated pool and right across the street from disneyland with a price you can't beat!

It wasn't bad. It was an average hotel, nothing terribly special. The decor was cute, the breakfast was fair, the rooms were fair. It was very nice to have an onsite mini mart and shopping area, as well as restaurants very close by. The biggest perk to this hotel was no doubt the walk to the park. It was a shorter walk to the front gate of Disneyland than two out of three of Disney's own hotels. We had a King Jacuzzi Suite. The jacuzzi wasn't much to brag about, but it was a fun little addition.

My family & I stayed at this hotel for three days during Easter break. The staff was friendly and helpful, however the room was way too small and very old looking. It wasn't what I thought it was when I booked it. It was very close to the entrance of Disneyland which was what I was looking and I guess for the price I got what I paid for.

If you're looking for something close by to Disney - this is a good place to stay... staff was friendly...breakfast was good to start one's day... washroom - clean.. overall, it's recommended.

We stayed in the King Suite Jacuzzie room. It was clean and very spacious. The pool and spa were ok. They need to check the spa chemicals more often to keep the water clean. Overall it was a nice hotel with friendly staff. Restaurants were within walking distance as well as a short walk to Disneyland.

Like the hotel location and the area, easy access to freeway, Disney and area perks. Only complaint really is some of the light switches on lamps did not work. Stayed overnight to attend Disneyland and California Adventure--- will use again soon.

I found my stay at the Ramada Maingate was a great experience. It was very clean and comfortable and very close to Disneyland. If I ever get the chance to return I will definately stay here again. The staff was very accomodating with all of my needs. Thanks for a great stay.
