Night - Niujorkas

The Night Hotel was an amazing experience in that the hotel is funky with its cream and black interior and chrome fixtures. The music playing in the lobby completely fit the look of the hotel and added to the ambiance. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. That was the best part. The room itself was tiny and there was barely enough room for two people to move around the room comfortably. The bell hop even said "wow, small room" when he brought our luggage up. The shower handle broke off in my hands, the air conditioning made enough noise to wake the dead, getting replacements of soap and towels was difficult unless we asked at the front desk where the staff was polite but basically could care less whether or not we needed something as long as their conversation wasn't interrupted. Overlooking the bad things though, the experience was a good one and I would happily stay there again.

My husband and I stayed one night at Night and I loved it for several reasons. 1. it was inexpensive 2. I loved the black and white, contemporary feel--not too "hotel like" 3. great location-near to times square without being in the crowd. 4. irish pub across the street. 5. great service-loved the buisness cards with my name on it. 6.breakfast-its is a treat not to have to search out someplace to get a quick bite. 7. checked our luggage so we could explore. 8. near Grand central. really the only thing I did not love was that the room was tiny--really tiny and overlooked the fire escape. but for what we paid-- it was fine. I would definately stay again and would recommend it to others for a boutique type hotel.

The rooms are small, but it was perfect for the 2 of us for a night in the city. The price was great, I would stay again!

We loved the hotel, with its decor and almost gothic mood. Fantastic location, great value for money, excellent staff. Of all the hotels I've visited in NYC, boutique or otherwise, this is my favourite. We have already recommended it to our friends.

Excellent location. Rooms were small but very clean and the decor was amazing. It was everything I had hoped for and more.

Not for the shy or faint of heart, this is the most stylish, goth, crazy cool place to stay in Manhattan. Definitely boutique and worth every penny!

My wife and I stayed for a week-end and found a room a few days before. We were able to get a queen size bed, and the location is great for catching a show or a great dinner. The room is small - typical for the area - but comfortable. We had a great week-end, and would definitely stay there again.

Room was very clean and comfortable.Room was small, as most of the rooms in New York City. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. I agree with other people about shower door. Hotel might want to think about re-doing it. Great location, you right in time square. Overall I enjoyed my stay @ Night hotel

Do not let the name frighten you. Night is a great hotel. As with the other reviews - the rooms are small but nothing that a couple couldn't manage. It is not a "family" hotel but a nice place for a romantic trip for 2. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Within a block of Times Square and within walking Distance to 5th Avenue. We weren't in our room much but when we were - the bed was extremely comfortable and we didn't have any issues with space. I would definately recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and greeted you every-time you walk in. Truly - a great hotel.

I loved this hotel. The black and white decor throughout was classy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who goes to NYC with the intention of being out and about. The size of the rooms are very small but well thought out. If you are in NY for sightseeing, this hotel makes a nice place to come back and get some rest at. I will definitely consider staying there again the next time I go to NYC.

Small rooms but perfect for the price. Showers could be a little hotter and it would be nice if there was a workout facility in the hotel.

Being a native New Yorker I chose to stay at Night for the weekend with my boyfriend, it was his birthday weekend and we wanted to have fun in the city. Location is great, you're in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Times Sq.; in walking distance to everything. You walk through the glass doors and all the noise from outside is gone, you're taken to a quiet sexy hotel. My first impression was the decor was nice but such a small and tight space. The elevator was tiny and the hallways were only about 3ft. wide, you could literally hear your neighbor across the hall. My room was small just as previous guests had noted, the toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken and tiles on the walls were chipped. There is a serious design flaw in the shower because the glass only extends about 1/3 across the shower the entire shower mat and floor gets wet. There is no ice machine so we had to call the front desk whenever we needed some....they were very courteous none the less. In a nutshell if location is your priority then Night is a great choice, keep in mind it is an adult hotel-sexy black and white decor and sensual photographs line the walls.

it was a pretty sterile and boring hotel and the service was as average as you can get,we were greeted with "hi whats the name?". Staff walked straight into our room twice while we were in bed which was annoying. The rooms were pretty cool except if you have more than one case with you you literally have no room to walk at all. For the price of it i wouldn't bother as you'll feel pretty cheated.Also the breakfast was what you'd expect on a school trip. On the plus side one of the managers arranged a car to take us to the airport,we were expecting a normal cab but we got the biggest stylish jeep ever...so that was the highlight....leaving.

Everyone was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Very small, but clean. The hotel internet service went down for two days and since I was on a business trip it was very difficult to check e-mail.

This hotel was so cool. The décor was awesome! I loved it! The staff was friendly. They have valet parking for only $55 per day. It is close to everything. I read prior reviews regarding the size of the room and bathroom so I was prepared. The room was small and there is only a stand up shower, no tub. I didn't care though because the hotel was amazingly decorated and they hand excellent quality toiletries, bedding and robes. I will definitely stay here again :)

The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the best aspects of this hotel is I did not see any children until my very last day. The guests were mostly thirty-something hispters. The hotel is located right off of Times Square, but my room was very quiet. I could not hear any street traffic, but the fan would peridocially switch on and it was loud enough to drown out the TV. Although the room had a really cool and unique design, I never saw such a small hotel room in my life, but I suppose that is to be expected in Manhattan, where a small apartment goes for $2,500 per month, and small restauaunts are shelling out $15,000 a month in rent. The room was so small that when I put my bags on the floor, there was no space between the bed and the walls. The room was OK for just me, but I would recommend getting a bigger room for two people.

This hotel by far exceeded by expectations!!! It is so convenient, half a block from Times but quiet enough to provide a refuge. The decor and theme is awesome, definitely a wonderful place for couples. The rooms are small but perfectly set up. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. I definitely plan on staying in this hotel when I return to NYC!

I love this hotel. The decor, the staff, the ease of location. I don't particularly love Times Sq or the amenities near there but it IS central and the hotel is off the main square so you can avoid the other tourists!

Stayed at this hotel for my birthday and was extremely pleased. First- the service was wonderful. I felt taken care of and comfortable, without being bothered. Room service was fast and pretty good. The room was so amazing- I am already recommending it to many friends and family members who appreciate the modern gothic look, and planning a trip back. Its the perfect room to have for a night out on the town as its so conveniently located in times square theatre district near so many pubs, bars, and restaurants- although I did find it hard to leave to hotel. And its so close to port authority. I did drive, so I used the parking lot right next door which was about $90, which wasnt so bad for an overnight in times square. Upon leaving, the staff was sooo cool and offered to hold my bag which was great since i wouldve just went home after but i ended up staying in the square for lunch instead.

room was small but we expected that the bed was very comfortable the room was very clean and staff helpful with all our requests..the continental breakfast was an added treat much more than i expected especially in new york. would certainly stay again and recommend to others but only for a 2-3 night stay due to it being such a small room

Rooms are small, but typical of NYC. Everything was clean and reasonably new, but the entire hotel is black or white and very dimly lit. Perfect for color blind and those that wear sunglasses at night. Strange...

This hotel was the perfect match for staying the night in NYC for my 22nd birthday. I loved the decor, the staff was friendly and helpful, there is a parking garage literally right next door($96 for less than 24 hours though..), free breakfast in the morning and we only saw one other guest in the hallway during our stay. Its a small hotel, so less people. Keep in mind the rooms are small(it is Manhattan after all) so I wouldn't suggest staying here if you are wanting to hang out in the hotel for awhile. My biggest complaint was that the bed was comfortable for sitting but I didn't find comfort in it when it came time to sleep. But, I got what I paid for and I was satisfied and I felt glamorous staying at this fun hotel. But warning: its a hotel for adults and intimate couples really, no kids and no teenagers here. There is nude pics in the lobby and where a bible would be in the nightstand is something else;p so if that offends you I'd stay somewhere else..

I was in NY on vacation. I stayed at Night for 4 nights. Now let me start with the good.1. Its totally cool looking. Everything is black and white, well appointed, etc. Very NY chic.2. The front desk staff was very helpful. They went out of their way to help me a few times. 3.I got a great rate. I think this was some kind of "recession rate" because normally this hotel is much more expensive. 4. They have digital cable inthe rooms vs. the rent a movie/basic channel combo you usually see which was nice. Now for the bad. The room was tiny! I have stayed in NY quite a bit and this was probably the smallest room I've ever had there. I didn't even have the smallest room. It was the queen bed option. If there was someone else staying with me, there would have been major issues. 2. The cleaning staff, though polite, was quite inept. I would have the privacy setting on the door because I wanted to sleep in and they would be knocking to try and check the mini bar or see when I wanted my room cleaned. I had at least 2 people knocking on my door by 10am everyday. Whats the point of even having a privacy setting? They also were vaccuming outside my door at 9 am on a Sat! Kind of ridiculous. They also did not leave me face towels when they would clean my room so I had to keep calling down for them, which isn't a big deal, but annoying. 3. When I finally went to check out, the doorman didn't even offer to help my with my bags. Overall, the hotel itself was nice, but with all the random service issues I probably wouldn't stay there again. There are other hotels I've stayed at that were much better for the price point even with the lowered rate.

Though the staff was helpful and the decor was fantastic (adults only), the rooms were so small and the showers don't have doors or curtains, so the water gets on the bathroom floor. I've stayed other places for somewhere near the same price that had more room. However it was an experience and, if you don't want to be surrounded by a bunch of kids, it is a great place to go.

Stayed one night at Night with my daughter. We shared a queen sized bed and it was so comfy. The room was small but it was was NYC and we didn't want to hang in the room anyway. The staff was great and there was a continental breakfast. I'd go back again!

If you're main interest in New York is Timesquare, this is the perfect hotel. This is literally located less than 100 feet from the Timesquare attraction area. Although you'll be surprised by how small your room will be, you'll be thrown off by how nice the designs are. -There was no view from our window. -Free continental breakfast helped us get through till lunch time. (muffins/cereals/coffee/orange juice/h20/fruits/bread) Parking is expensive. It cost us $50 bucks (24 hours/valet) for someone to drive it around the block. I suggest just finding your own and and walking. We slept well.

If you want a hotel right in the heart of Manhattan at a reasonable price, don't be afraid of the Night. As others stated, the rooms are small but quite comfortable. Don't look for views (there are none)but on the other hand you don't have the noise from city traffic which can be disconcerting to those not used to it. The continental breakfast was a bonus and substantial enough. The fee for valet parking ($55 for 24 hours) is very reasonable for NYC. Courteous, helpful staff just added to the pleasure. Worth the price.

We stayed at the Night Hotel for only one night and had a great time! The room was interesting and fun and the location was perfect..nice and close to Times Square and Rockefeller Center and we were able to walk from the Port Authority Bus Terminal without a problem. Any more than one night in the hotel might get a little crammed since the room is small, but when you are in New York, all you want is a comfy bed and a clean restroom and to enjoy the city! And the bed was extremely comfortable!

The hotel room was very small, but everything else about the hotel was great. They have made the most of their space!!! Fabulous decor!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were able to grant us one of our three requests for early check-in, late check out, etc. The breakfast was just what you would expect for continental buffet- just enough. The location was perfect for our stay and we would stay there again.

the service at the front desk was somehow rude. the room is small and not very clean and the decoration dark and tasteless. the location is very good, very close to times square. no noise in the room, despite the hotel location. very expensive for what offers, would look for a better deal.

A very quiet room, a very congenial staff.

Great Hotel. Great Staff. Rooms were small, but I have heard that most rooms in NYC are small.

The Night hotel was a great value and right in the heart of Times Square. It was convenient to the subway and Penn Station and to nearby shopping and theatres. The staff was more than helpful and extremely friendly. I would recommend this hotel.
