Our room was very quiet, even though it was right next to the freeway

I only stayed here one night but I can honestly say I would have been happy staying even longer. The bed was one of the most comfortable ones I've slept on, as far as hotel beds go. I had a King bed, non smoking room and it was nice. The only thing I would asked changed is that the bathing towels could be a little bigger/thicker. The staff was very friendly. I was working off of Cesar Chavez st and this place was close enough and didn't have to worry about parking fees like I have while staying in Downtown SF. There is a Lyons restaurant in the same parking lot if you don't want to drive for food, and they give you 10% off when you show your room key.

The Hotel and room was really good except for one day out of four (the last night). The room did not get cleaned nor did any of the niceties such as clean towels and all the other things that go with the bathroom get replaced.

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The carpet is filthy and not one vending machine in the entire property had water available. The beds are like sleeping on concrete. Good luck.

for the price is was ok, its not worth much more. teh problem with bargain hotels s the unsavory element they attract. the abandoned train tracks next door are kind f spooky.

this hotel has a back building across the train tracks and a front building. I have stayed in both, and would never accept the back building again. atmosphere is bad - no security - far from breakfast, scary outside, etc.

The front desk staff was less than helpful. They didn't seem to know anything about the area, the hotel's services, etc. The room was acceptable, but nothing more than a place to sleep. The location is very close to the airport and there are a few restaurants close by. It is not near San Francisco proper and there are no attractions nearby.

I was very suprised at how clean the hotel was. The area the hotel is in is not the best. A train track runs between the two seperate hotel building. Hopefully the tracks are not used. I wouldn't want to be there if a train came through. I did had a probelm with a vending machine on the first fllor in the North Building. The machine takes credit cards and it didn;t work. I tried change and it took change but it did not work. It failed to return .45 cents of my money. They should take the machine out or have it repairs. That the the only probelm I had. I did list the machine on my comment card whic I left at the front desk.

great hotel-great breakfast,easy nice place

The area we stayed in had "smoking rooms" which the halls and our room had a stale smoke smell. The mattress in our room was horrible. The customer service was very good.

A few issues came up. No ice was available on our floor. We were unable to use the internet and no resolution or assistance was given by the front desk, other than telling us to use the cord we were already trying to use. We had issues with the air conditioning and were told we had to wait until 11 pm when security came on duty and could come up and help with the problem. Also, the television didn't work with two different remotes. Made for a less-than-smooth night prior to an early morning flight out. Excellent location, though, room was spacious and clean, and for an early morning flight would stay again. Staff was courteous, even if not always able to assist properly.

There's no better sight than to see your hotel after a long exhausting 8 hour drive. My three friends and I were looking forward to our room that was supposed to have two double beds. However, at check in I was told that I booked a room with one king size bed. The check in guy (I have no idea what his name is because he lacked a tag AND refused to tell me what his name is...) I told him that I didn't book that type of room and he kept insisting that I did. I was mad at myself for not bringing my itenerary (that correctly stated I booked and paid for a 2 double bed room) I told him I believed him when he said his computer showed what "I had booked" but he wouldn't be quiet about it until I went around to his side of the desk to look at it for myself. Sure enough I apparently orderd the one king size bed... please let me know if that makes sense to anyone out there for me to book that with 4 adults in my party. King size beds aren't that big. He told me that they had a double bed room available, but he couldn't give it to me unless it was clean. So after he told me to go back to my side of the desk he left for about 20 minutes to "see if the room was clean" or take a coffee break, I don't know. He finally gets back, hands me a stack of bath towels and washcloths (well that's never happened to me before at any of the hotels I've ever stayed in, and I thought that was very rude), and then tells me that the double room is ready. I tell him thank you and I ask for a reciept that shows that I apparently ordered the 1 king size bed and he refused to give it to me, by giving me a dirty look and say, "NO." Wow. So we get to our palace for the night to find the beds sloppily made, the countertops were wet, no new toiletries, opened soap was left in the bathtub, and the floor in the bathroom was wet with a dirty towel on the floor. Upon check out, I asked the morning clerk if I could have a reciept and she refused as well, stating that I'd get an email telling me my cha

We reserved two rooms non-smoking. We could not be accomadated. They can't guarantee your requests will be honored when you book through third parties. So I shouldn't book through hotels.com? The room was saturated with the smell of smoke. The smoking area is literally on the other side of the hotel across train tracks. Looks like a place for homeless to sleep. The room just made you feel dirty.

The "free" wireless did not work in the room, which was one of the reasons I chose this hotel (and I heard other guests complain as well). There were no hand towels until several hours after we had checked in. The room was relatively clean, but very worn (i.e. holes in the bedspread, stains on the tub and sink). The phone service was out for 4-5 hours, but the front desk did not disclose this when we checked in. We were in the second building, which is adjacent to the train tracks, requiring a walk to the front desk past industrial buildings that was a little uncomfortable in the early hours (required to get the shuttle to the airport). On the morning of departure (to catch the 4:00 a.m. shuttle), the electricity went out (not weather related), requiring us to rely on our cell phones to dress and pack; fortunately we did not rely on the in-room alarm clock. Alarms continued to go off for the 30 minutes that we waited in the lobby.

Requested non smoking- got smoking room. Hotels.com customers don't have a choice apparently. There are two buildings. The smoking building is across railroad tracks and by a kinda scary building. The fitness center leaves something to be desired.

The continental breakfast was an added bonus to our stay, a bit better then average. The hotel stay was a great value for our money. I would stay there again.

We booked no smoking rooms which is important to us since we travel with our two year old daughter. When we arrived we were informed that our rooms were smoking rooms but that a machice hade been put in to rid the room of the smell. It didn't work. The room wasn't too bad but the bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke. It turned out that the entire building was a smoking building. I was not too pleased. Overall, the room was quite nice except for the smell. Don't take a room in building "B" unless you are a smoker.

Our rooms were clean and comfortable. I think we got a lot of value for our money.

I found the hotel to be comfortable and easy access for an early morning air flight.

Everybody was very friendly. The Lyons restaurant in the front of the hotel had great food (really did not feel like traveling far to eat after my flight).

It is a pet friendly hotel where our dog has a place to use the bathroom with doggy bag stations. We like the breakfast that is included in the rate. The hotel is clean and service is acceptable. Big Concern is the location and surroundings. The CalTrain goes by the hotel, but our son enjoyed it. The sound is a bit muffled when the train goes by, but we learned to tune it out. The building we were in is in a secluded area apart from the main building. You should not walk from the main building to the other one, ever for safety reasons. Overall, we liked it because we were together as a family.

the beds were very uncomfortable street lights were shining in the window all night the only curtain that was closable was a see thru one and evert time someone used the water the pipes made a loud noise I am lucky if i slept for one hour and trashed couches and chair was outside looked like they were there forever,very bad experience

Although the price was great compared to surrounding hotels, the hotel was very, very noisy. There are train tracks right next to the hotel property, and at least 3 went by during my less than 24-hour stay (I will note that it was prior to 10:00 pm). But the night was extremely windy and the noise from the wind was very loud. It also caused some problems with security in that because of the wind, none of the doors would close automatically, leaving the entire hotel open to anyone who would want to walk in--------as a woman traveling alone, that's not a good thing. The hotel is also under construction, and maneuvering one's way around the property is extremely difficult, having to drive under and around huge cranes to get to one's room.

We arrived in the early hours in the morning. The desk clerk was helpful and attentive. The continental breakfast the next morning was better than average and there was plenty of room (in spite of a crowd) to sit down and eat. This is a no-frills place, but it certainly met our needs and we would stay there again.

Funny thing, I looked out the window down the hall and noticed the Amtrak train going by, my first thought, was Great, a loud train" but it was amazingly quiet. My daughter loved the jacuzzi and pool, being heated, made it especially tolerable even though I stayed wrapped up in a blanket, since it was windy, windy and maybe 40 degrees outside. haha. Beds were okay, the toilet next to the shower made for small space, but it was okay. Door was hard to open and close, watch your fingers and make sure you lock it. ours was a little stiff.

The staff was very friendly and we returned for a second night and they were very accomodating.

It was near the highway so I couldn't sleep at all because of sounds of truck.

I was not impressed with this hotel. It was not very clean, a little more expensive than other hotels that are cleaner and have better locations.

Really not somewhere I'd rush back to stay again. Breakfast ok and free shuttle to airport so not all doom and gloom!

Nice hotel - have stayed at this hotel before - it is a good value for the money. The heater did not work too well in the room; it kept coming on and off, sometimes sending out cold air.

nothing special. some room were literal "on the other side of the tracks".

thanks to these reviews I read beforehand I didn't have high expectations. Pros: convenient location close to SFO, clean, decent breakfast. Cons: don't expect much from staff-guy that checked me in wasn't very welcoming, business travelers please note that they have Internet connection in the rooms, but you have to plug in using a cable that wasn't visible. This was confusing because their site says rhey have wifi in the rooms, but they only have wifi in the lobby area. To add to the confusion, when I tried connecting to their wifi in my room it said I was connected, but then didn't work. The internet cable wasn't obvious in the room. I explained all this to the woman that checked me out she didn't seem to understand or care.
