La Quinta Inn John Wayne/Orange County Airport - Kosta Mesa

The hotel was nice! I would recommend this hotel. The only problem we had was the night security guard was kinda creepy.

We thought the hotel was good. Stayed there before and found it clean maybe carpets and drapes can be renewed. But they were clean not trashy. Other than that coffe could be made better too watery. Would I stay there again sure if the price is right like it has been. And the convenience to visit my daughter in college and other tour sites.

Location was in a good spot. Not far from Disneyland, and not far from Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. OC Airport is very close by. Hotel was very clean, bed is very comfortable, and the pillows were excellent! Light sleepers may have trouble sleeping due to the freeway so close by. Service is excellent, the beds were made and room was maintained daily -very nice! Ice Machines are a great amenity.

cons: Can hear the traffic all night long. very noise fan in the bathroom. pros: free internet in the room. comfortable mattress.

Arrived late and exhausted to the hotel. All I wanted was a bed to sleep on. This was given to me. If I had more time to spend at the hotel these would have been my complaints: 1) The room smelled terrible, like a swimming pool was in the room. 2) The toilet ran all night, noisily. 3) The carpet was damp. 4) There was pubic and/or armpit hair in the sheets. 5) Rusty water filled the tub when I went to shower in the morning. 6) The television did not work. At all. 7) The internet did not work. At all. Also, the hotel is almost on top of the highway. It's very noisy. But - the receptionist was nice and charming. If I'd had any energy to complain I am sure they would have fixed me up in a different room.

I travel a great deal for business, and so I get pretty jaded with the hotels I stay in. Rarely am I completely satisfied, and frequently I'm disappointed. I stayed in the La Qunita Inn John Wayne on May 20th, and my experience couldn't have been better. I was greeted at the front desk by a friendly, intelligent and extremely competent manager. The room was spotless and quiet. And get this, when I was struggling to get a taxi for my morning appointment, the hotel provided the courtesy shuttle to get me to my meeting. A great crew running a great hotel!

Hotel location is easy to find but it is next to the freeway so it a bit noisy at night. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff is also friendly and courteous. I booked this for a friend and he seems to enjoy staying at this hotel.

The Inn was as clean and comfortable as any other motels that we have stayed at......slept like a baby and they have a nice continental breakfast and free internet for the laptop which was much appreciated. Would definetly recommend this to anyone looking for a great value.

excellent value and convenience as we were travelling with our three dogs! Generous breakfast especially with freshfruit! Assisstant Manager was very helpful as were the night desk employees. We will definitely return on our way to our vacation home in Baja California!

We arrived at 3:30 and the check in time was 3. Our room had already been given away even though we paid through Hotels.com a month prior. Cig burn on the tub, could see outside when the door was closed, the door did not close properly, the windows do not open, you can not see out of the windows due to them being so dirty, the shampoo bottle was empty and placed in the wash cloth our first night, the check in people did not know what they were doing and it took 20 mins to check in, the smell of the room was disqusting!!! The location was not worth it!!!

Its a clean and comfy place that is close to Huntington beach

I have stayed at this hotel before and I really liked it. But I wasn't very happy with the recent stay. The shower knob is very hard to pull up. The water is not hot enough. My room is facing the freeway so it was very noisy. The maid never came to change sheets or give us new towels. I feft like the hotel management did not care whether we were there or not. It was really a big disappointment this time.

This is the first time I stayed with my family at this hotel. We had two rooms. I can understand that "you get what you pay for" but I didn't expect it to be that bad. First, the room key wouldn't work. Then upon entering the room beds were not made which we found out later that someone had just checked out from that room. The second room's pillow covers had blood stain on them. We requested them to change the covers but after we came back from dinner nothing was changed. The bathroom lock of the second room wouldn't work and my friend got trapped inside. It was pretty bad.

For the price, the room was great and the location made it easy to get to from the airport. It was also very easy for me to get to the areas I needed to visit throughout my stay. Best of all the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly (especially considering they were working new years eve). The only complaint we had was that the tub didn't drain quickly, but that was minor and didn't impact our stay in the least. Will definitely stay there again.

The hotel was great -- however, when we arrived, a staff person (not the front desk) was talking very loudly in an office next to the front desk which kept me from being able to even carry on a conversation with the front desk clerk. It did not leave a good impression. After we got to the room however, everything was great.

Hotel is pretty nice and comfortable as long as your room is on the side of the hotel away from the highway noise of 405. If not, you had better have some ear plugs in order to sleep the sleep of angels.

The staff did everything in thier power to make my stay as compfortable as possible. I left behind my traveling pillow andthey maild it back to my home address along with a travel charger for my phone which I didn't even realize I left!! Thanks so much!!

The hotel is located right next to the 405 freeway and there is too much noise to be able to sleep in most rooms. Our first room was facing the freeway and within 50 feet of it. The room also smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room and the power button on the A/C was missing, so we could not turn it off. On the second night we asked to be transferred to a room on the back side of the hotel. It was less noisy, but the table/desk had a broken leg and was ready to fall over.

even after reading some of the reviews for this hotel I still booked a 1nt stay. As many others have mentioned, this can be a noisy hotel to stay at. It's a lot of freeway noise, the AC was pretty loud & it seems our neighbors set their alarm & couldn't figure out how to turn it off...we listened to it for well over 2 hours in the early morning! I also didn't appreciate needing to use the same entrance & parking area as the Hooters next door, but that's just me. I was disappointed in the quality & cleanliness of the room, especially being a LaQuinta, I have stayed @ others & loved them.

The service was excellent.

The rooms near the highway are a little loud at night. I would recommend the ones on the opposite side of highway. Pool area is nice, but noisy due to highway. Staff was extremely nice.

I was a bit surprised when I saw the hooters bar right next door

Our stay at La Quinta Inn John Wayne/Orange County Airport was great. It is located off the freeway, easy access on/off. The rooms were clean and the environment was friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples AND families (great size pool). It was a little noisy due to the freeway but overall a great, comfortable stay.

This hotel was very nice, very clean & for the price it was great, although alittle noisy because it's right by the freeway, but once in your room you don't hear a thing.Overall a GREAT place to stay!!!

We were put on the 3rd floor corner nearest the San Diego freeway. The only room closer to the freeway was on the ground floor but the noise was much less on the ground floor. Even with the door and windows closed we still herd the roar of the freeway. After lugging our bags up three flights of stairs we didn't feel like asking for another room and carting them down the stairs again. We were never told about the elevator and found it by chance the next day. The room fine and the price was good. The hotel location was convenient but the noise was awfull. If we were put on the other side of the building my review would have been very different.

We flew into O.C. and just needed a place to stay for a quick overnight before heading down to San Diego. We also stayed here the night before our flight back home. It met our need for this. This hotel is right on the interstate. If your room faces this direction you will here a lot of traffic noise. We turned on our A.C. and this deadened it some. We slept ok, but I know for some people it could be a problem. On our return stay we stayed on the opposite side and it was much better. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They seem to keep the place maintained well. They were repainting the outside while we were there. The airport shuttle is convenient. The mannager was very nice. This is not a hotel for a long term stay to enjoy the area.

We were here visting family that was close by. The only complaint I have is the freeway noise, but I am a native Southern Californian and am very familiar with it, so I can't complain much.... A bit overpriced, no microwave or fridge, but we brought an ice chest anyway with drinks and snacks. I would come back again...

The hotel room was fine and the staff was helpful. However, the noise from the freeway was unbearable. We were on the side facing the freeway, and all we heard was traffic, trucks and horns all night. I wouldn't stay on that side again, unless a sound barrier is put up. The room was clean, nice and adequate.

I took this hotel because it was promissed to have wireless internet, but except in the lobby (extremly slow!!)it was availble... :-(
