Novotel Amsterdam City - Amsterdamas

This normally above average hotel is getting an aggressive facelift via heavy construction outside and minor inconveniences inside. In spite of all the construction, noise was kept to a minimum. For anyone visiting the AkzoNobel headquarters, the hotel has a free shuttle during morning and evening commute times that takes you door to door, which was a real plus, and the driver was an exceptionally great guy with loads of personality. What was disappointing was my room's mini bar remained completely empty the entire time I stayed, and since I was not sleeping well due to a significant time change I could have really used the service. Other than that I give the staff kudos for being very pleasant, helpful, and business-as-usual during a very aggressive makeover.

Only problem is that, it is a little far from the center. But consider the price, there is no better deal.

The hotel is steel building site, the room was little bit dirty and the price is too expensive about that. 20-25min by tram to central station and cost 2.60 per hour-that is not so bad. The car park is not free cost 22euro per night.

Just a short walk from the RAI center, this hotel was very convenient for our conference. Our room was super clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Breakfast buffet was superb every day. Easy access to trains and tram made travel to city center and to Schiphol Airport simple. When we return to Amsterdam, we will book this hotel again.

Nice & clean but due to renovation it was difficult to find the entrance specially from the Rai station. 4 internet table are not sufficient for all the guests of the hotel.

Unfortunately there was a refurbishing when I went, therefore huge queues at the lifts and very noisy. The room was clean, quite spacious, toilet clean, plenty of food at breakfast.

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was great. The hotel is within walking distance of the RAI station which can get you downtown and to the airport fairly easily. The really only thing to be aware of is that there is NOTHING right near the hotel so you have to take a tram if you want to see any sights or eat somewhere other than the restaurant.

This is a wonderful hotel and the service was excellent! All the staff were accomodating and the breakfast was lovely. There is a tram just two minute walk away from the Hotel that gets you into the City Centre in about 10 minutes. The rooms were a good size,very clean and quiet!! I would definitely stay here again!!

Although I would not recommend this hotel for those who want a romantic or unforgettable trip to Amsterdam (in which case you'll want to stay near the heart of town), this hotel was just 15 minutes away (by train or bus) from the action and was excellent re: service and quality. It's a perfect place for business travelers, groups, or those in their mid-30s and older who want a more low-key and dependable place to stay.

Chambre très agréable, spacieuse. Excellent petit déjeuner. Quartier calme; à proximité des transports en commun. Dommage pour l'absence de chambre fumeur.

Bien placé.Proche du tram.forfait WE à trois avec petit déj vraiment exceptionnel pour la ville. Demander une chambre sur l'arrière.

Godt beligenhet. Hotellet har bra standard og profesjonelt personale som er opptatt av å yte best mulig service til gjester. Frokostbuffeten var top og variert. Kommunikasjon til sentrum og flyplass (tog, trikk og T-bane) bare 100 meter fra hotellet. Flotte rom. Hele personalet snakker godt engelsk. Det var mye verdt for pengene.

Eneste minus jeg har om dette hotel, er at vi ikke fik en dobbeltseng selvom dette var bestilt. Og da sengene var skruet fast i gulvet, var der ikke noget at gøre. Der er rent, nydeligt, dejligt personale, god udsigt på de højere etager og rigtig god beliggenhed!

Hotellet låg perfekt,3 min till spårvagn och sedan 20 min till amsterdams centralstation,ett annat plus med hotellet var deras suveräna frukost.

Das Frühstück ist unglaublich lecker und umfangreich.Hier wird jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Man wird immer sehr nett und freundlich behandelt und kann alle Fragen stellen, die einem auf dem Herzen liegen. Sprache im Hotel: Englisch.

The hotel is undergoing expansion, so a bit messy in the lobby area at the moment. Aircondition worked almost to well. Took some time to get the right adjustment. Continental breakfast was a big plus, along with the free parking. Dinner was not something to recommend, and the dining area is more like a gymnastics hall, than a intimate restaurant. Hotel location is quite a distance to the city centre, about 20 minutes with the tram, about 2-300 meter away from hotel. Good for a family with car, who likes to relax out of the city noice. You come by airplane, stay in the city centre!

Hier stimmte einfach alles...Service, Leistung, Sauberkeit einfach perfekt. Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb, aber mit der Tram in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen.

Det var ikke informert om at det var oppusing på hotelle. Avstanden fra byn var mye lengre enn det som var oppgitt. Det var sure resepsjonister om natten. Men dei som jobber matsalen var svært vennlige.

-ruhige Lage -gute Verbindung zum Stadtzentrum -sehr gutes Frühstück -sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis -schöner Park gleich über die Strasse(ideal für Kinder)

Der var intet at klage over på nogen punkter. Personalet var meget imødekommende og servicemindede.

Ok hotel dog var det under opbygning så halvdelen af elevatorne virkede ikke hvilket gav stor kø når man skulle op og ned på nogle tidspunkter

Wij, drie personen, hebben in het weekend van 4 juli gebruik gemaakt van het Novotel op de Europaboulevard in Amsterdam. Het inchecken ging snel, vlekkeloos en super vriendelijk. Novotel heeft ingesprongen op een vraag welke niet gesteld was maar waanzinnig is gewaardeerd. Volgend jaar zeker weer Novotel!

Ettt hotel med hög standart på rummen, bra läge till tåg. Tycker att frukost borde ha inkluderats i priset.

Nice clean hotel with good size rooms. The restaurant and room service was not inspiring, but for business trip I would pick that again.
